Just a pet peeve but how many people does it take to give the operator of the recovery vehicle hand signals? First rule of operating heavy equipment, communicate with only a qualified spotter...
Last time I pulled...the guys in this class still need brakes, but they're generally pretty dinky (i.e, light weight) and I've never seen them tested. Time to rethink that maybe.
Been a while since I could make that pull... but usually the dirt pile is a lot bigger and enough to slow down or stop a truck. That looked like a ramp.
Lol... Just put er in reverse n back er off.. As previously stated in another comment, the damage is already done.. And yes, the run out area should really be redesigned and no parking or spectators should be in said area.. That could've really gone wrong in a bunch of ways.. Stay safe out there..
I wonder if he had a second safety chain on the truck. Some pulling groups required them one time. Likely should have had a dirt pile at the end, it could have been bad. Glad everyone was ok.
What kind of berm was that at the end of the track? It was more like a ramp. All the pulls I've seen or been to, they have a big berm built up to stop any potential run away tractors/trucks.
No one hurt, truck looked pretty intact, other than way too many people trying to help, fairly simple. Maybe they need a catch fence similar to what NHRA uses.
Like the old song..... Man what a ride! Even better than the video are some of the comments. Hilarious!!! I love it when you mortals argue over some inane BS. Thanks for the entertainment. 🚜🚜🚜🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You might say the event went off without a hitch.,,,,or to quote a line and the name of an Iron Maiden album and song for a couple of the spectators it was be quick or be dead.
I never thought of it before.... Do pullers not have brakes? Is it assumed that there is no way they would detach from the sled?? Or did this vehicle just happen to have a brake failure as well?
Why every one was runnin around after the wreck, but no one checked on the driver, or fire systems on the truck...lol... it was like truck wrecks, and some announced a blue light special at walmart...where were they all running too???
Idk why the loader was used trailer looked to be a tilt bed just push the down button 😁 and yes those jeans are tight I’m guessing a 2nd story jump to get into them🤣 .How is the blonde lady that was in between tractor and trailer?
It actually fits that being super modified pulling tractors use the front axles off riding lawn mowers, these guys would use the brakes out of those same riding lawn mowers. 😋
ever heard of bhrakes doesnt even look like he used them tbh but could be wrong coz brakes can fail but always think ahead if that doesnt stop turn the truck off and smash it into park

Glad you asked the question Norman. I was wondering that too, it just didnt look like there was much deceleration or tire lockup. And usually there's a bunch of white/grey smoke when the air shutoff is activated... (??) Glad no one was hurt, but wow, what a near miss that was 🤯
Glad nobody got hurt👍👍 that’s a scary ride heading into people or anything like that and you have no control!!! Praise the lord it’s only truck parts that got crunched no funerals to go to!!!
What kind of wire do you suggest that would stop all that wheel speed and forward momentum? Look at the black smoke get completely shut off the second the truck breaks free from the sled. Air was cut but it still has a ton of kinetic energy
@@billgeorge1623 did you notice his wheel speed? I bet he was spinning well over 100 MPH when he broke free. I agree that he had shit brakes but just because you kill the engine doesnt mean the truck just stops at once. Get on the highway and go 75 MPH then turn the key off, you will not grind to a hault.
Pretty sad they use a 3feet pile of dirt and a trailer as a safety stop at the end of track then made a show of of getting off ,,,damage is done pull the trailer out from under it and move on ,,,,but the girl did have nice ads to look at
The secondary safety chain looked non existing. Brakes apeard the same till he was about landed on the trailer. Only a matter of time till someone dies because they don't have a solenoid to lock up the breaks when the safety switch is unplugged
It had chains. Two of them. Not a chance his brakes would've stopped him, or even slowed him down in that short of a distance. And that's why a solenoid doesn't lock the brakes. It slams the intake shut. No air, no power. Even if he had the fastest reaction time on the planet and got off the throttle the instant the hitch let go, it would still be making power and rolling coal for a bit. You can see just how fast it closed by watching the exhaust.
I get a Kick out of how many guys are standing there pointing and how people think that they could do better just back to your seat sit down have another beer and shut up let the track personal do there job.
Could it be possible that everyone that was giving the hand signals wer just wondering what the HELL was taking the operator so long to move what he was hooked up to? I just about climbed through the screen on my phone so I could go ask that dude if he planned on moving that thing Today or What's The Hold Up
Wow it looked like amateur's were running the scraper and roller also, no wonder that hitch quit, it said, nope this is just too many bumps for me to feel like hanging on! They got lucky. They also made that recovery way more difficult then it needed to be...
Just a pet peeve but how many people does it take to give the operator of the recovery vehicle hand signals? First rule of operating heavy equipment, communicate with only a qualified spotter...
I was legit just gonna say that. Thank you.
100 percent correct.
Incorrect! It never hurts to have to many spotters! Only one signaler!
@@dustinmann7031 you need to re read the statement that was made. It could have been Worded a bit better the intended message is correct.
The phrase "Too many chiefs and only one indian" certainly came to my mind.....
They made that more of a project than it should of.
They always do
Well it’s nice that they didn’t do any additional damage.
yeah no shit bunch of dip shits standing around scratching their ass and heads
Too many Chiefs!!!👍🇺🇸
More importantly... Does that lady in the Lucas Oils vest have a RUclips??? Her jeans were the best part of this video by far 😉😉
doubt it
Country girls are the best
Not even that good lol
That's hilarious cuz that was the first thing I noticed, I said damn she's got a nice ass LOL.
I have said the same thing many times!!😍

I guess it was too easy to let the hydraulic dove tail down on the trailer and lower it back onto the ground
I was wondering that the whole time, obviously still use the lift but dang I guess no sense in dropping that deck down!
got to make it look good for the camera!!!
Lol seriously
it bent the deck and tore the hydro line, no way to let it down...
Looks like it bent and the trailer became lodged into the tractor beside it.
There's a difference in 6011 and 7018 rods
Shoulda burned hot with some of gods rods
bolts and weld is better
Exactly! That's why you only use 6013's for everything! and be sure to run them on an AC output Lincoln tombstone 🤣👍
See how many were ppl flagging the loader operator!! HE ONLY NEEDS 1!
If you can't Dodge em, ram em.

Love how there's like ten spotters🤔
Been a while since I could make that pull... but usually the dirt pile is a lot bigger and enough to slow down or stop a truck.
That looked like a ramp.
The hydraulics on the Ford loader with a jib are awful impressive!!!👌👌😉
Instead of a dirt pile stop, they groomed it into a smooth dirt ramp
A table on a trailer at the shut down area of the track? Man, someone got very lucky.
laser person for the measuring
@@HIGHOCTANEFILMS they got very lucky…..
Mostly with the nice dirt ramp they made to jump it. Dam good thing he didn't hit it straight on.
That chicken that ran like ran right after the crash, cracks me up
Can we give that front tires sidewall some props with all that weight and the truck on it wow !!! 👏 Took it like a boss

Yes they run two. I watched the video frame by frame, second chain wasn’t in plain view but I can clearly see the hitch getting ripped off.
@@calvinhoward2407 yes, it shut the air supply off, watch as the smoke goes from black to none when it breaks loose.

What kind of berm was that at the end of the track? It was more like a ramp. All the pulls I've seen or been to, they have a big berm built up to stop any potential run away tractors/trucks.
I had a RC nitro runaway today..burnt my hand🤦🏾♂️

So much cummins power she ripped. The gal dang hitch off! 🤣
Big truck Big Power No Brakes Sounds about right!!
U do realize that it a 4wd which means all the weight is on the front end if he or she hits the brakes the truck end over ends

Def not a runaway diesel. He just didn't use his breaks.

Goodness. That was a rough one.
That run away area was almost nonexistent
bad setup for sure
Do they not run brakes on these pull trucks? Didnt even try to slow down. Plus they made getting it off the trailer a lot harder than it should be.
The dude that crawled outta the skid steer right after he hit the berm 😲
I was surprised the truck didn't have brakes. No locked wheels at all.

Yup! i welded my own pull hitch on thar!
God old country boy + Truck + Beer =
Who welded on the hitch???
Do the trucks not run a safety cable like the tractors?
When my Dad showed me this I said WOW. I really thought that truck would flip over. Luckily it didn’t

Why not running a kill switch as well truck was still idling after it stopped
I'm glad the Mclouth KS track is plenty long enough to avoid this mishap.
30 second pool and a 3-hour recovery LMAO

If you're traveling down the road and this guy's behind you get out of his fucking way cuz he doesn't know how to use his fucking brakes
