Keychron Q60 • quick look + typing test

- Hi folks I've been away from RUclips for a while because life happens 🥲, but I finally got to build the Q60 I got a few months ago and it's a very comfy midrange board if you're looking for an MX alternative to the HHKB.
The board has a lot of flex despite the steel plate, and Keychron's made some nice changes from their earlier boards by including popular community mods like tape on the PCB, force-breaks between the top and bottom case, and resonance dampening holes in the bottom case.
The case screws on mine were quite tight out of the box, so when you assemble this, make sure to loosen them by about a 1/4 turn. If the screws are too tight, it can cause undesirable pinging sounds when typing.
The spacebar stabilizer was quite crunchy in mine. As a quick fix I injected some dielectric grease, but I recommend holee modding them or just swapping them for Owlstabs or TX stabs.

Wow the light effect of the TTC Hey switches combined with the translucent keycaps looks way better than just seeing the bare LED or a translucent switch housing. Its like the keys are being underlined and it looks great

Do the LED's shine like that because of the keycaps?
The TTC HEY switches have a special light spreader in them. I think some recent Kailh switches like the Kailh Arctic Fox also have a light pipe that has a similar effect.
