    The guy is right , ı just got that platinum title and it is way worse than %15 acceptance rate . After 25 delivery ı only saw one high paying order ( 1miles 4.50$ 😃 ) this is the biggest scam in gig work history . I am in south florida , Uber Eats is the real king . Dont belive any youtuber saying tier system is good , they getting paying for saying that👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    I stay platinum status mainly because of "Dash Now". That makes a huge difference in my market scheduling dashes it was like 4 or 5 days out.

    I swear Platinum level is a psyc-ops....I hit PLatinum level last week. Same town as you. It it even hit in the middle of an order drop off. 1st 3 hrs was great. Then I got the WORST orders imaginable. Worse than when I was gold. Next day I was doing th emotning time. Sat in front of Starbucks and also NOT 1 order for there. Instead, just like you sent me to a lame shopping order. Last week they were even running a promo for $3 between 1:30 and 3 am. I sat in The Rally's downtown parking lot and did NOT get ONE order. When normally it trys to drag me there.

  • @GlowWatchCo
    @GlowWatchCo 5 месяцев назад +1

    All depends on area, if you’re in a small town, there may be NO drivers, so you’re going to see the same offers on platinum as silver because there’s nobody out there. It’ll let you schedule but if you keep the map open, it’ll get “busy” enough to dash now even without priority. The problem with the diamond status is -to give you high paying orders, a lot of times it’ll require long drive times. Hopefully they fix this on the algorithm and add back the reason we decline for consideration. I’m at 67% AR but going to get back to platinum just to have full access. Gold is pointless, silver or platinum.
    Also look at which schedules are open before you get platinum. If an area has a full open schedule. AR won’t matter as much, there’s nobody there.

      Yeah, my city is mid sized (over 250,000 population) but the hot zones are terrible. Like, I’m almost never getting a follow up offer on drop off, I have to drive back almost the whole way every time. Doesn’t help that it’s one giant blob of a zone. So DoorDash will send me 20 miles and I’ll still be in. Which is great if you don’t have dash now, but it terrible if you have to take 70% of offers.

    • @GlowWatchCo

    I think it’s good. There’s always going to be someone in the world that it’s just never enough. It’s all about them, and unfortunately.. that’s not how the world works. It’s good for what it is, but it cannot be good throughout the entirety of your shift 24/7/365. That’s just unrealistic if you ask me. If you have been getting a dollar per mile for the past hour or two.. why are we crying about having to decline a 4 dollar 6 mile offer? The past 2 hours have paid, so just decline, and keep it moving.
    That’s how I see it, but I’m a simple man, and I live a pretty peaceful and simple life.

    7 bucks for 2 miles is amazing. You just need 3 of them to = 21bucks for 6 miles.
    Also, dd can't help who orders and where they live

  • @Jaywarde82
    @Jaywarde82 2 месяца назад +1

    Yeah, it's a horrible scam to keep a lot of drivers on the road to keep their deliveries going out. I gave up on it because DD doesn't pay enough per mile and 9/10 customers don't tip and expect you to double dash for them for free. Nope... For what you are doing, you should be making triple what you get paid to compensate for gas and miles on your car. They rely on the drivers that keep holding on to hope that one day it's going to get better, then you get trash order after trash order with no tip for days on end at the oh-so-great "Platinum" Status. People no more care about tipping drivers than to fly to the moon and I end up paying to drive some of these orders out to these bum garbage human beings. Nope... got better things to do and am way too smart to keep doing this dumb shit. I expect to get paid for services rendered and do not work for free... because everything DoorDash pays pretty much goes right back into your gas tank. It's a racket for Door Dash and they are using drivers in the worst way... Naa, I'll just rely on my day job.

    • @AlexShinn
      @AlexShinn  5 месяцев назад +2

      The only language DoorDash uses about priority on orders is for high paying offers. So specifically $2+/mi. But, when offers have been sitting for a while because they’re so bad, DoorDash pushes those out to any driver, even platinum, and it makes it hard to maintain the AR

  • @LondonHasFallin
    @LondonHasFallin 5 месяцев назад +3

    Don't decline the offer, just let it time out. Your acceptance rate doesn't get hit on every non-accept order.

    • @AlexShinn
      @AlexShinn  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah, it’s a rolling 100. Problem is it’s a gamble. If i wait for it to time out, a good order behind it might go to another dasher. But also if I wait it out, maybe another bad offer will go to another dasher and I’ll get a better one behind that one.
      Personally I don’t like waiting the extra ~minute every offer unless I’m multiapping
