Those jumps at 9:20 and 10:20!!!! Love your videos. You show the grind AND the reward. I thought I needed just the highlights from my viewing, but watching you changed my mind. You keep it reel (pun intended) by showing the slow times that exists. Sometimes even the skunk. The payoff with some really nice fish makes them fun watches. Keep it up. I learned to ski in the delta channels. Brought back some fun memories!
Hey Greg I'm up in New England. Finally starting to warm up. I know I've told you, last season I finally bought my kayak. 10ft, island hopper side transom mount, new 2.5 Suzuki outboard, with yakgear outriggers. Actually Dan helped me locate my vessel, and I love it. This year I will be seriously fishing, hopefully 3-4 day's a week. I also plan to enter 2 tournamants. I've learned so many thing's from you. I fish a approx 1,100 acres of water, and plan to try many other lakes. I hope me and my brother, meet people like you and the Dark horse team. Love all you guy's. You inspire all of us new kayak anglers. Thanks bro. Stay safe..🙏🤟
Bro really enjoy all the emotions you display in fishing. There’s a lot of downs with a few ups and you catch them all. Enjoy how you don’t make it seem like the fish cast you get a bite. Keep the authenticity in your videos.
@@boomergun Nailed it. The two of them post good fishing content while the popular channels like the googans constantly post clickbait and garbage. Too much nonsense, too much self promoting, too much vlogging, not enough real fishing content.
Agreed, not sure what's happened to JohnB but he's trying way too hard. Used to watch everything he posted, but now its mostly garbage. Greg keeps this up and his channel will continue to grow
Man. These videos give me nostalgia. You are on my waters man. My parents moved me to New mexico when I was 12. Lost my bass days and cat nights. Keep fishing man! Thanks.
I Love that you are always trying to figure out the patterns and that's why you are always successful in the tournaments. Glad to see an upload I'm sitting at home going CRAZY I just had back Surgery and it's not been a Fun Ride. Thanks for the Great Content Greg.
Just subscribed, I’ve lived in Stockton the majority of life so the delta was basically my backyard. Thanks for quality video, keep up the good content. Diggin the vibes.
I've been fishing bass for about a year and came out and did the BOS on the Delta, which was my first time out there...I was last place for those who caught fish on day 1, and managed to move up a bit on day 2. Caught a ton day 1, but they were all 11-11.75, did manage two at 12.25. Day 2 caught four scorable fish and missed a big one on the frog. Just wanted to say you're definitely part of me getting out and hitting these tourneys, and trying to constantly get better. Seeing you have tough days make my tough days easier.
Dude. That double cast into the deep weeds and that third, genius, cast into the close weeds was epic. Netted you a keeper too. Love watching you fish.
Always enjoy the videos. I do learn stuff watching you. Give the post office a break - they’re getting screwed. And The Habit is a major upgrade. I LOVE the Habit... they closed where I live. When I’m in Yuma for the winter I drive to El Centro to eat at the Habit! Bass fishing the Delta and burgers at the Habit. - that my friend is living large.
Catfish on a chatterbait! Happened to me a few weeks ago here in PA! def didnt expect it since I hadnt caught a catfish since I was a kid. Thanks for the vid man!
Good luck out there!! After you finish up that tournament and you get a day to go out, you should check out that back slough in Manteca out of turtle beach. Can’t get to anything from the bank, or boat, but it’s stacked rn! Tons of unsprayed grass, mats, and hycenth
Hey Greg I’ve noticed with plopping baits, they’re not great around vegetation or if the wind isn’t blowing. Hence those deep rocking reservoirs they slay. Try more walking baits or buzzbaits around the delta !! Just my 5 cents 😅
I know the fires weren't happening when you filmed this, but stay safe and wear a mask if the smoke is still bad. Coming over the 160 bridge I couldn't even see the delta
Tidal water- Man its not just about location- Its about the tide! I live on the Rappahanock river in Virginia, I fish it all the time, I mean all the time- And I know this- It does not matter how good the spot is if the tide is wrong.... So what I do? I go to the very best spots, and I will sit there for hours and hours... Not catching anything... But when they turn on, I will catch a limit of giants in 10 minuites....Because I know that when the tide is right I am in the correct spot... I could be runnning all over the place, but I know if I sit in the prime feeding zones I will not miss the opportunity when they do turn on, and that prime opportunity can vary from day to day, but generally 3-4 hours after dead high tide is a pretty safe bet around here...
Love your videos Greg and can't wait for the tournament one to drop. Don't know if your tourney was last weekend or starts tomorrow but I'm sure you'll do fine. You always do. I feel like you always find a few nice ones flipping or chatter but it always seems what gets you wins is the ol' wacky rig lol.
Maybe structure away from the bank? Versailles in southern Indiana they seem to prefer that. Win or lose, any day fishing is still better than a good day at work.
In my experience, it's just the wrong moon phase for morning topwater - or bites, really. Full moon all night means light all night with fish feeding. Best topwater mornings are when the moon phase gives you darkness all night, or when it's moonrise in the early am.
Ever think about throwing a squarebill or flatside crank along those rip-rap banks? (during high tide). And throwing a jig right at the rock\mud transition on those banks can be productive too. This time of year those fish are real deep, or real shallow and in the shade.
Damn 3 minutes late just punch into work. Deff have something to look fwd to when I’m out and home. If I can resist that long. Either way already smashed that Love button.
Not sure if you got a defined area to fish within for the tournament however The rocks off three mile slough always seems to have a lot of bass. Popular spot that does get some pressure but its typically not worked right as anglers work the area to fast.
I know its sounds crazy but I almost always flip the outside edge of grass lines or cover. I like to use a really light weight to give my baits. really slow fall not a weightless fall but a slow fall. I will even use a small split shot weight in front of my bait like a cheap ass T-rig lol. It works for me in shallow water. I think it gives the fish a little more time to see the bait fall past them unlike a heavy weight that drops fast. Just my deal lol and I typically use a med-heavy spinning rod to flip that rig. I’m a weird one. Good luck at the tourney can’t weight to see the tournament video!
I fish the Delta all the time high tide you got to start throwing spinnerbaits in Shallow running crankbaits against the rocks their main diet right now is craws and shad you already got the other two down for low tide good luck in the tournament
greg.... you gotta pull up the two years Robert Lee won back to back western opens on the delta. bass master covered them - late 90's I believe. old school

Idk why it bugs me so much that I don’t see you throw a finesse Kietech. Like a 2.3 or 3.3 when you see those shad , but you still do great love the vids. Bought a kayak cause of these videos
Nice scenery, beautiful, Michigan here, hav3 been getting in the fishin* mode latelty thanks to u Greg, I went yesterday, frogging was a Nill. One more thing, Greg. Do you ever check the salinity of the water you’re fishing??? As specially if its tidal water. I feel like that could greatly affect a “freshwater” pattern. I have a reef tank at home and salinity swings greatly affects the fish and coral. A hydrometer cost next to nothing too :) just make sure you get calibrating fluid, its super easy. Idk, could be a great piece of information! My figures are crossed for you!!!!

Ok, I have to say you are the first youtuber I think like to share the moment that you can't catch fish. Your video make me feel more real. Thanks

Yes, Greg and NDYakangler

Swimbait keitech or dwalker with. flashy swimmer. White or blue gilll color. Is another go to for delta
Never been on the delta like that or a kayak on a delta but gonna get a kayak soon
Man that blows I hope you end up getting a rod still for the return too!
Good luck on the tournament! Also, have you ever fished a lake where they pump in air? A lake near me as begun doing that to fight the algae blooms.
