Saying it's a gift is close to insulting. The years upon months upon days upon hours a singer spends training and refining their tool and someone calls it a "gift" or a "talent".

My daughter introduced me to London Grammer; I'm 59! WEhen listening to these tracks everyone equally amazing I look over the years and recall Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Diana Ross, Dusty Springfield, super stars, this band tops them all and I realise the power of music

London Grammar are for me "the best band in the world in 2014" The debut album is not just one of the greatest début albums it is one of the great albums of any era. They are better than the Beatles' were at the same stage. Having said all that My favourite track of the decade is "the curse" by the divine Agnes Obel

First time I ever heard London Grammar I was driving. This came on the radio and I had to pull over to listen. Her voice has a bizaar "emotional" quality, the likes of which I have never heard before. Just wish people would stop making comparisons with other vocalists... there's noone close.

Incredibly talented group of people.
This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. When she started singing, suddenly I couldn't breathe, I felt my heart beating out of my chest and I got goosebumps. I strongly recommend using good headphones or a decent audio system with bass while listening to this track.

When you hear professional musicians like this, work live, and compare it to the awful shit pumped into our ears round the clock the difference is almost a like a revelation. If I were in one of these popular acts, and I heard this I would be ashamed.

seizedkeyboard Can you imagine a hypothetical scenario where a person who had been deaf for their entire life could suddenly hear and they asked you for an example of the music they have always read about? You'd sit them down with headphones and play this song for them. I imagine that the river of emotions would be too much for them that they might break down and cry. Same scenario except you chose Britney Spears for them. Something tells me they'd rather be deaf again.

The beauty of this woman makes this blackened room shine. Her voice is in my opinion is perfect and her pitch is always on point.

I keep coming back to this one. It's a more distilled and pure sound than the album version. No added effects - just smooth, haunting beauty. The voice of the guitar is almost as pretty as Hannah's and they're mixed in perfectly with that rich and buttery synth. Unreal. If anyone knows how I could find or buy an uncompressed version of this recording I'd be very grateful.

I feel like this is the most relaxed I've seen Hannah while performing live, and it shows in the performance. Such a powerful and beautiful voice. (Also, Cheryl probably has a lot to do with this. She's a fantastic, comforting host.)

Theres something special and unique going on here, Ive been listening/playing music for longer than I care to remember, seen them come and go, but this is different, I cant explain it!! within two days of hearing them and buying the CD I knew the playlist by heart and,check this, the lyrics also!! for every song. Its the perfect mix of vocals and minimalist sounds, I love the way the songs leave room for your imagination, leave you guessing almost, so subtle, understated, but powerfull and memorable at the same time, with Hannahs voice pouring down like honey. Never thought I could ever be hypnotised till now, love them
