Glad to see Rivian coming into its own. The new vehicles will explode adoption and propel the company to a million sales a year. They need to start going outside the US to the right markets for R1s then globally for R2s.
Great info - I think you are spot on! I take delivery on Monday! I am going bat-shit crazy anticipating this incredible adventure with Rivian. I'll be in touch.
@@MikeKantorskiTech They haven't opened their Honolulu SC yet, so I am picking it up at a temporary site. I am flying in on Mokulele, and the temp site is a walk away. Easy peasy! I'll let you know how it goes. 😎
What you are proposing maybe a possibility as the VW higher end vehicles come online with their RIVIAN UPGRADES in 2026-2027. Software designed vehicles will for the most share parts and some design synergies. Service development is a dealer level product. To look at how VW and Rivian may incorporate rebranded service one may have to look at the previous Car manufacturing partnerships such as the one between GM and Toyota. Ford currently sells a rebranded ID4 in Europe though I don't think they are repairing the VW make of ID4 but one must check.
I’m just trying to figure out a way for Rivian to manage service demand with so many potential vehicles coming online. Not sure if they have enough coverage to do so right now, or even a year from now. Maybe they’ll prove me wrong
The VW service center idea is good but IMO they will utilize it in Europe as R2 is a global platform and in US they will stick to their own. All speculation Ufcorse
@@MikeKantorskiTech I'll tell you that I almost didn't subscribe b/c of the channel name. Once I looked up your video content and confirmed that it was only Rivian content, I subbed. Want to see the channel succeed. That'd be my recommendation. All the best!
@@MikeKantorskiTech 2 words . “ slow rollout” . Everyone is thinking in Q1 2025 they will roll out 20k R2’a which will not be the case . It will be friends and family first . Bugs will be worked out then mass roll out but that too phased. Secondly R2 is a much less complex vehicles and they will roll out with one combination first ( unlike R1) . So let’s say a lead time of 1.5 years approx . Now they have enough service centers and also educational tie ups for training . It’s all about spending on OPex . If they do it too early they will burn cash ( which is precious). Believe me they have thought about it.
New heated headlight tec coming to future vehicles, possibly(gen 3). Hopefully we will finally see rear wheel steering on Gen 3. Massaging front seats on Tri & Quad would be nice!
I don't think I'd expect to see Rivians getting worked on at VW dealerships - dealerships hate Rivian and Tesla and will fight tooth and nail against VW for their involvement with Scout. Seems unlikely they would play nice with Rivian for service - but it would be nice! I think Rivian is maybe making some mistakes with how they're selecting service locations. My experience with 2 service and delivery locations is that they're picking trendy locations, which might be expensive, but more importantly, they're small. The Atlanta SC and Tampa SC are both tiny so getting cars through service takes a while, plus cars are sitting out in the open in cramped quarters, increasing the risk of damage to customer vehicles. None of this seems like a good idea imo - they need to invest less in trendy locations and get more practical with where they're deploying service at least. Sales can be in nice places, and there are efficiencies in having sales + service in one building, but I'm not sure that outweighs the practical challenges.
This is true, dealerships don't play nice with Rivian and Tesla. I think they are screwed when R2 comes out, unless they plan on it being the most reliable vehicle ever created.
I don’t understand why Tesla people gripe when other manufacturers follows Telsa’s lead in some cases. I wouldn’t complain if Tesla followed other manufacturers lead of other things, like design and quality. 😮
I own 2 teslas. I want Rivian to succeed. Everything I see from them as far as customer response is positive. Problem is - they’re a bit of a mess. And by bit - I mean they’re a HUGE mess. It would be cheaper if they just burned cash to keep warm instead of what they’re doing. I have no idea why they don’t just abandon other stuff and focus on making the Amazon delivery vehicles profitable. They have a niche, a guaranteed market in which they’re the only manufacturer, and they won’t need any marketing at all. Once they figure that out, THEN expand.

Hopefully they continue to grow into a more mature company

WOOHOO! So close, can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks for the shoutout, Mike! Keep up the awesome work on the channel!
Thanks Zak!
Appreciate all of the great Rivian content. Have you thought of changing the channel name to somthing Rivian based? Cheers!
Thank you! I have not but maybe I should. I’m not really sure if my channel name affects my videos performance but it’s something to look into

Thanks, I don’t know how they will be able to manage the huge influx of R2s otherwise…

This is a great insight into how companies roll out their vehicles!
What is your PT for rivian for 2026,27,28,29 and 2030?

This would be great for snow accumulation and just defrosting the vehicles! Gen 3 should be further refinements which will be greatly appreciated
All I can say is 2 of the vehicles sold in 2024 were me from sub’n here lol
Hell yeah!!! 👍
Just make them in RHD and export them to other countries! Your revenue will go up!
They hit their targets - the ones that were lowered more than once…. This is a silly reason for a stock price jump

I think you might mean 60 months, rather than 6 months. But I could be wrong.
Good find! Yes 60 months!
Rivain is a premium product. Going to a VW dealership is not a good look at this price point.
Could be Audi or Porsche as well, what ever helps Rivian owners get into service quick!
If Rivian goes M&A by Tesla, it will be worth $50 at least

Typically it’s the Tesla Cult that complains…

1.99% for 6m lol
A detail probably best I didn’t screw up 🤣😂
