Congradulations! This woman is living exactly what I ever wanted to do. I am in the process of getting down there and hopefully evertything works out the way I have planned.
I learned a lot about being a kind person that moves somewhere not to change it, but to blend in as a native. If I ever move to a place in Panama or any other, I would try to do the same. Small farms in America are far and few, now they are owned by corporations as you said and do not have your sense of natural is better for everyone. I don't want to live in an expat area either.
Omg! What a great story.. So motivating. I'm planning my 'check on the country I plan to live visit', soon.. So this was refreshing to watch. Thank you!
I just enjoyed your 20 minutes talk about sustainability in Panama but also I felt a certain peace of mind looking at you... I'd love to hear more tips about what is like to be relocated in Panama.
Horses are expensive in Panama, the are breed for horse races and for competition. Horse owners more likely will never sale their horses, they will share with family members. Families in Panama are large so there is no chance

I have 5.5 hectares (aprox 14 acres) with a large creek and 2 electrical post inside ,right opposite of the Concepcion town; Bagala; from hers and it assessment is for $58k. I was thinking to grow Bamboo, but Cacao sounds more lucrative.

One more question: How is your COVID 19 lock down? Do you feel safe from the coronsvirus? Do you take weekend trips to Belize? Last question:. How far away are you from hiking in the rain forest?
Lyn lives about 30 minutes south of Volcan where there are rain forest where you can hike. Or 1 hour from Boquete where there are many hiking trails in the rain forests. Panama borders are closed now so no travel to Belize or anywhere else. Here's the latest on the pandemic in Panama panamarelocationtours.com/panama-pandemic-update
Very pleasant interview but I must question if that farm grows enough to support itself or if she supports the farm with wealth she accumulated pre Panama. I don’t say this to be mean, just to keep people from becoming financially ruined dreaming they can have a hobby farm that pays back what they put into it. A super efficient professional farm threads the ridge between bankruptcy and profitability by just a couple percent. Also those “evil” companies that advance farming are the reason the west hasn’t had a famine in 170 years while billions lived in extreme poverty and 100’s of millions have starved to death in subsistence farming.
You sound a lot like my personality. My passion is to grow food and I've gained a good deal of experience! I love the farm life! I grew up on a family working farm and was able to train horses. I had planned to retire in Hawabut several obstacles blocked that option so I've been searching out centural America and Panama especially. Would you be so kind to ßhsre more of your wisdom with me and possibly mentor me during this transition? Do you facetime with other is a phone call more comfortable? About six or so year ago, we were thinking of moving to Panama, too. The first two things I noticed in your video is: 1- it looks like you need a new roof, and 2-bars on the windows. I don't have any bars on my windows here in the southeastern part of the U.S., so why would I want to move to a place where I need them?
If you had traveled all over Latin America, you'll notice that many homes have bars on the windows because it is customary in Latin America. My Panamanian friends tell me it is because they can leave all the windows open during the day and night to get fresh air circulating without worrying about anything coming in through the window. In North America they have deadbolts on the doors. But not in Panama. Deadbolts are customary in the North America.
@@PanamaRelocationTours Okay and yes, we have traveled to several countries--and toured them--via cruising. You are correct: almost every island we went to over the past few years has had bars on their windows...except for Belize--way way out in the country, they don't even HAVE windows or doors. They are so poor that they wash their clothes in streams. No lie. Saw it with my own eyes as we were driving by, only 30 miles north of Guatemala. I have no idea how they survive. My guess is that God is helping them in some way to exist.
@@noturningbackever493 my guess is you don't need to move anywhere you need to stay where you have all your luxury and everything is taken care of for you peace out Pentecostal believer God is taking care of you
@@cwhyharris7473 Who said that I live in luxury and everything is taken care of for me??? HOW did you arrive at that assumption--which is 100% WRONG!? I WORKED FOR DECADES FOR WHAT I HAVE. Does God take care of me\us? of course He does, but He NEVER said that I would live a life of luxury and that everything is taken care of!
@@noturningbackever493 I'm sure you can find a property here too where the backyard floods when it rains. lol My theory about the 2-bars is different tho. I am from Panama. Belize is very British influenced. When I was little we didn't have as many bars on our windows until the U.S. invaded and occupied Panama in late 1989 and 1990. The first thing the U.S. did was remove all Panamanian Defence and Police Forces. This created a wave of petty crime that lasted over a decade. Mostly robberies/theft. Panama had to re-start from scratch. That has law & order vacuum has greatly dissipated and Panama is today flourishing and much better off than before the U.S. Embargo, subsequent invasion and subsequent occupation, without even having received the promised restitution from the U.S. And people are much better to do today than they were 15 years ago. So you are seeing a vestigial legacy of those effects. Panama's crime stats even in the main capital, which is more developed than Miami today are much better than in most major American cities. And you don't hear of cases of targeted ethnic police brutality as one constantly hears happening in the United States. Just a couple of years ago Panama achieved the highest happiness index. I forget what the happiness index in the U.S. is right now. As a Pentecostal you will be well received in Panama, even though it is predominantly Catholic. As a Muslim in the U.S. one becomes a target for violence. The attitudes towards diversity and inclusion are far different. Oft persecuted groups in the U.S. are in for a pleasant culture-shock when they arrive in Panama, which has much more of a Live and Let Live attitude than in many a "Don't Tread on Me" geographies within the U.S. Don't just go by what I have to say. Speak to just about any "expat" (a.k.a. immigrant ) in Panama. If the lady in this video were to put on a new roof in the U.S. it would cost her about ten grand. In Panama it would be a fraction of that. She also won't need to pay for heat in the winter. And she also will never die of hunger, for even if you don't won a farm, the Lord more than provides in Panama. Good fruit and veggies grow wild. Just going down the road you will find fresh cashews, papayas, mangoes, you name it. Much plenty everywhere. The healthcare system in Panama is actually world-class, and it won't break you, even if you have a very modest $1,000/month pension. As compared to the other countries you mentioned, Panama has a very strong middle class, but even if you liver very modestly, you'll find it easier to keep a roof on your head and food on the table. These are all reasons to praise the Lord and be a person of good will to your brethren and to celebrate God not only with your words but also with your hands as you put your faith into practice not only with yourself but also into the happy-go-lucky host community that sees you not as some menacing immigrant that requires being locked up in a cage but receives you with open arms, knowing that even though one may be an American that may come with baggage, they too can be viewed as like the prodigal son and celebrated as the such. All the best to you and God Bless you and accompany you in your path and the Holy Spirit descend upon you and the interpretation of its tongues be that of loving thy neighbour as thyself. Amen.

It takes a lot of money to experiment and live in various countries
It takes some money for the initial move then then you can significantly reduce your cost of living!
Still see bars on the windows though.
