If you are overweight please dont buy a bike which has less than 35 spokes per wheel. Because most road bikes have only 24-28 spokes per wheel thats why if an overweight person rides those bikes then frequently 1-2 spokes will break and be ready to visit the cycle store once in a week to repair the wheel. But most MTB and Hybrid bikes got 35+ spokes per wheel which will distribute the weight evenly per wheel and wont put too much tension on each spokes.
