Great job. I was just thinking that the weight left could have been just the can's weight, when your add on came up !

My kids just got me one of these for father's day. Good to see confirmation that the empty cans are about 100 gms (for the 100 gm cannister.) I'm a little worried about overfill, but knowing the base wt. of the cannister helps avoid this. I would think overfill is more likely when transferring from a larger container (230g or 450g) to a smaller one (100 gm.)

Great explanation and the illustrations really helped to figure it out. I am a gadget skeptic too, but this does seem to be a useful bit of gear.

Popping in after talking with Instagram! Actually looks pretty useful, would you take this over something like a jetboil?

I’m not sure if I’m understanding your question. The Flip Fuel is fuel transfer device used to consolidate your partial fuel canisters into one mostly full one to save space and some weight in your pack.

I would guess you could get at least some of that remaining 6g of fuel out if the bottom container were empty.
