Excellent video and review! So worth the full watch. I really got a lot out of your suggestions of additions to make the Rapid Raft more usable. I am looking at the Rapid Raft for our search and rescue K9 unit. We have full rafts and kayaks, but we were looking for something that could be quickly deployed for hiding our scent sources in the river or lake for set-up of a training with later deployment of the full raft with handler, dog and rower(s). The rapid raft really fits that bill, but also could be crucial in multiple search scenarios on a real mission. This review helped me see all the possibilities. Thank you!
A very cool product with a lot of versatility. Funny thing I was thinking of going aquatic and have been in the market for a solo canoe but this might fit the bill as well. Thanks Nate
You’ll notice i hold them in both positions in the video, i was trying to see if haveing it one way or the Other would have any impact on the side-to-side sway…
Great tip regarding the skeg, I'll have to look at doing the same. Putting an extension tube on the mouth piece is the same thing I've done with my RapidRaft, makes it so much easier for topping up air when on the water. Rather than a seat / pillow, for extra insulation I use my Thermarest NeoAir XLite Sleeping Mat which fits perfectly. I've got some RapidRaft videos on my channel if you are interested.
I might try and put an air mattress for a floor which is would presuume would help add ridgidity to the boat, but i would still want to have a seat i think, will try it and see. Just subbed to your Channel! Great conent mate! Thanks for your support!
Wow great idea with the neoair! I will have to try with my torso length pad. What specific tubing have you guys added? Looking to do the same with mine.
As i had mentioned to @guygabriel6251 ‘s previous comment - You’ll notice i hold them in both positions in the video, i was trying to see if haveing it one way or the Other would have any impact on the side-to-side sway… (which seemed like it did some) as for the drip guards i am aware that they move but wasnt sure How to best position them to prevent drips …ill give your suggestion a try. Thanks for your insights :)
The floor is a bit thinner than on the Alpaka Scout but if I was a betting man, I would say it should be OK but if you’re worries about it, I would suggest maybe putting some booties on your dogs’ front paws just to minimize wear on the material.
I got more info about this boat in this video ,than watching multiple videos about this boat. Great video .all the info I needed down and dirty.. 😊
I’m glad you found this helpful 🙂

You are holding the paddels upside down! 😳

Are you going to release the skeg install video?

@@OstriChicken any hose with a 5/8” inside diameter will fit over the mouthpiece
Good idea with the skeg. Great review!!!!
Thank you! I hope you found this video helpful in some way. 🙂
12:09 you’re using your paddles wrong and that rubber thing on the handle is adjustable and slides toward you so the water doesn’t drip into the boat.

I know it would be crowded but would the raft take my dogs claws? My Sea Eagle will.

Is it one more skeg at the front is better?
Not sure how that would affect it never heard of a boat with a Skeg at the front and at the rear before
Great presentation !
Thank you! Hope you found the video helpful in some way.
