Gosh I remember hearing the album for the first time and when the music stopped i was thinking aaw it’s over but then Josh’s vocals into that amaaazing guitar solo came in and I was just sitting there in awe with my jaw dropped like an idiot it was so good. Great cover!
Oh yeah this tune absolutely blows me away every time I hear it. I’ve heard it’s incredibly good live too. (it used to be known as Black Flag Exposition)
That last chord is one of the best ways an album has ever ended.

I listened to the whole album and it's soo goood. I've loved light my love and age of machine. This is an 8min song and it is great, you don't get bored. I can't understand yet how you get the songs so well and make it sound that good, it's awesome! Love your covers
Oh I totally agree. 8 minutes well spent every time I listen to this tune. The album is so damn good as a whole too. Honestly lots of practice just learning. Even this cover compared to my Black Flag Exposition cover from a year ago has improved so much just because I keep working on my ear all the time. Thank you!! Yeah this one was familiar but also different. It was very much a learning process as far as remembering the order of things, but the riffs and some of the solo licks were very much similar or the same
im addicted to this album. i cant even describe how it feels. GVF are really doing a great great work! And.. am i the only one who completely shivers with this song lyrics?

Nice picking Dylan there getting shelled by some critics them dudes don't know shit about Rock and roll. Josh sounds really good on this track this one could go 30 minutes on stage lol it's a little different from the one before the one critic goes Jakes solo is a little sloppy I commented I think Jimmy Page himself was a little sloppy and Joe Perry just saying anyway I gave em hell keep up the good work it's a little tuff playing those solos reminds me of Lynyrd Skynyrd
Yeah it’s crazy to me that some critics are judging this album so hard. What I would really love to see is the ones critiquing Jake’s playing sit down and try to play it themselves before firing off their comments and then maybe, just maybe, they will understand.
@@djones_music I know where your coming from to me a good solo isn't about shreading it's about what you feel and laying down something just from the pentatonic scale or maybe Dorian that hits you in the gut Jake has a way to make half bends at the right time sound soulful and from the heart
@@Longhorn.Rock_Roll61 oh yeah I definitely agree. Even Angus Young is a good example. His solos most of the time aren't shred and melt your face off, but rather just consist of really nice phrasing.

Ikr?? It’s gotten pretty old at this point given how much GVF has evolved. They truly are their own sound now however like every band they’ve still got their influences which is totally fine! All musicians do, that’s how it keeps evolving😁🤟

Sounds great!!! Good job on all the intricate little nuances and great playing, but here’s a little tip, I’ve noticed in your videos whenever you bend you seem to be relying on your fingers rather than your wrist, I recommend wrapping your thumb around the neck and anchoring your wrist when you bend, it makes everything much easier and allows for better and easier vibrato

What are the chords just before thé solo ?!

I gotta know, how long did it take you to learn it all?
It took probably 4 hours of just going at it non stop! The solo is by far the hardest part but it was nice in the sense that it kinda repeats itself up an octave toward the end!

Haha thanks so much man! Hmmm I’d say probably 2. I sat down and learned it all today. In fairness though I had the general idea already because I covered Black Flag Exposition a while back. This was similar, so I just had to figure out some new parts and the biggest thing was remembering the order of everything haha. Super cool song though and I had a blast learning it!!

So how do you do the lick after “the queen is dead we robbed her grave ?” I watched the tutorial maybe I missed it idk😭
Maybe I missed it in the tutorial... if I remember correctly that's the fast one right?
If so, then it's 3rd fret E string pull off to 1st fret and then pull off to open E, followed by the same pattern. Then you alternate back and forth between the two strings a few times and as you speed up it will sound like Jake. Lmk if I have the part right here!

Pardon my ignorance, but… are we listening your guitar, or theirs? Because to me it seems to be the latter 🤔
Haha no worries. I've actually got both guitars in the mix! Since it's hard to find backing tracks for stuff I normally just put in the original track at a lower volume and then overlay my guitar overtop that. I've managed to really dial in Jake's tone though which is likely why you're seemingly hearing the original. I can send you my guitar tracks if you really need that proof😅
@@djones_music Oh that makes sense! I knew that you were capable of performing it since I've seen your other videos and your movements matched but the sound of the guitar was really identical and sometimes I would hear it when you still had to touch the strings so I was little confused 😅
