Great review, thank you. These Berghaus tents look fantastic, its just a shame they are all bright red. I plan to do a little stealth wild camping and these things light up like a Xmas tree. Brilliant for camping on the side of a snowy hill, but a bit of a problem if you are trying to be discrete.
Just bought the Grampian 2 and it looks top notch, should let me get out in all weather. Nice upgrade from the Eurohike Tamar 2 which is a great little introductory tent I would highly recommend if you are getting into camping on a budget. Nice review 👍
Great review mate! Was looking at this one for 155 and I think I will go and buy it today! Sealed the deal with the easy assembly and although the colour isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, I like it!
Thanks KSH. Yep, not a stealth product 😂. Used it on Ben Nevis in pretty poor weather, (Heavy wind and rain ruclips.net/video/pLywRGQxQmo/видео.html ) I had to peg it down before putting the poles on to stop it blowing away and couldn't film either. But once the outer was up had plenty of shelter and the inner hung without any problems. It was rock steady and bone dry throughout the night. The bathtub floor did a particularly good job considering I more or less pitched in a shallow swamp😜.
@@owtnabowt2723 not stealthy at all lol! Good to hear that it withstood the challenge of foul weather on Ben Nevis also! Glad I found your channel mate. Lots of great informative content!
Lovely tent⛺️😍. Weight's a fair trade off for a tent you could use up a real mountain😎👏👏👏. Love Berghaus. I've had one of their small back packs since the early 90's and still carry 14kg worth of crap in it as my 'at work' bag every day....and I used it once for an 'annual requalification parachute 'container jump' ' so it can survive a military parachute drop too🇬🇧😜👍. 😏Cheviot...pronounced 'Chee-vee-yot' , set of hills south of Kelso, Jedburgh etc in the Scottish borders. I only know because my introduction to hillwalking as a kid was done up there. Breed of sheep named after the area too.
Cheers Billy, there's no way I cant make a plan to go into the Cheviots with my Cheviot mow I know 😃😂😃 When I was researching which tent to get, I came down to a choice of 2. Both listed as 2man, 4 season, hiking mountain. The other tent was a bit lighter and had a better snow skirt around the bottom, but was a little more expensive. In the end, it wasn't a brand I recognised, or could find a lot of information about, and like yourself, I have owned, and still own Berghaus gear which I've always found to be good quality and reliable, so brand awareness won me over. If you're wondering the other tent was the Keenflex 2 man mountain hiking tent
owtnabowt - it's a tough call but when you're on a genuine mountain and conditions are less than favourable, you'll sleep easier in gear you trust. It packs away nice & small too⛺️🙂👍
Just remembered..... if you are planning to head to the Cheviot Hills, have a Google of "WW2 plane crash Cheviot hills" , there's a fair bit of historical stuff besides big rolling hills & streams to see👍
Cheers, mate. Best review I've seen. I'm thinking of purchasing one. Most of my clothes are berghaus and revolution race. So why not a berghaus tent. Plan on a wild camp this year. Did my 1st wild camp in my campervan last summer. It was scary at first, but I got over it. The aerodynamic design is the same as the hillaberg solou. But I can't afford the hillaberg. Thanks for the great advice in your review👍
I’ve just bought this tent but mine look lower inside,,I’m just wondering if if attached the inner bit correctly,,I don’t remember the hooking hooks where the poles are
Just bought this tent and pitched it up to see if everything is ok with it, looks and feels a solid tent. Only question I have is it only meant yo have three compression straps, I don't have one on the back right side of mine?
Got mine Looks like a cracking tent to be fair I ain’t doing Bivi’s no more Ex British Army haha Tent for my mountaineering days now Cheers for the vid Made the first assemble make more sense for next week
Cheers Ryan, glad it was a useful vid for you., The tent performed pretty well on the slopes of Ben Nevis ruclips.net/video/pLywRGQxQmo/видео.html . I'll see you up there👍
Looks a decent tent mate not sure about bright red though. Going to be looking for a do it all tent soon . Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it and your lovely dog . Take care mate 🏕👍
@Treks n Tarps Yeah, that's primarily where its for. Hiking in more "lenient" locations. Out this weekend with it (and Lister (the dog)) on a semi wild riverside "glamp". Still be using the Basha/Bivi/Tarps tho'. They're far too much fun to give up on 😂
Yes mate . Good to have options . Looking forward to seeing it in use and seeing you out with mr. Lister take care bud have a chilled semi wild camp 👌🏕
To be honest, it gets quite narrow toward the foot end so not sure if a double would fit in it. If you do find one, i'd be interested to know how you get on with it.
Hi Poraqui. I took it up Ben Nevis ( ruclips.net/video/pLywRGQxQmo/видео.html ) and it performed pretty well. Not sure how "stormy" you want it 😜 but it got a little "damp and breezy" in the night.
@@owtnabowt2723 Hehehe... By the looks of it, it's the "right" kind of stormy. Great to know that you can count on this tent in these conditions. It's the one keen on buying at the minute.

very true. if using anywhere where you're not really supposed to be, you need to be very careful with site selection. Or throw a camo net over it🤣
