    In recent days I've been trying to help friends get into Blender, and have always pointed to this channel as a resource, so this comes at a perfect time! Thanks, as always, for making these lessons available. You're like the Bob Ross of Blender.

    Hi Grant Abbitt, thank you very much to update your well even if I finished the 2.8 well project one week ago
    😆. By the way, I would like to mention how much I enjoy your videos. Passion, friendly explanations and great british accent are your best skills ! Please keep your motivation. Congrats.

    Well done tutorial Grant. I'm definitely going to do this one as I'm planning to design a whole building that I want to then 3D print and gift to the people that work in that building. No worries, I know everything about making meshes watertight. I just need to get back into modeling in Blender again 👍🏼

    Damn that was my first thing i ever made in blender when 2.8 version showed and UI wasnt repulsive. I wont lie my well was ugly and not very optimised but it was something. Then the Monster and Sea Shack and Flying Castle. Thank You for all this years of great stuff. You got me started 3D. Respect Man.

    Great tutorial as always, even when I've made a tremendous mistake and my curve modifier seems to summon beings from outer space, I can retrace my steps to summon a different one.

    If you have issues with SimpleDeform modifier like it`s making object wider instead of bending it. Rotating it so the object aligns with the x axis and then applying rotation should fix the issue. At least it did for me

    Hey Grant. Thanks again for the updated lesson. A question if i may. What is the effect of the blocks origins being different? At around 7:50 there's a point where all origins are visible and some are relative to the geometry but another with one on the "bottom" of the mesh. Should I make it so the origins are matching throughout?

    • @grabbitt
      @grabbitt  Месяц назад +1

      It will be its pivot point so generally not a big issue

      So to solve the issue scale has to be applied so the object is at scale 1.000.
      It was my mistake ;)
