    I mix toasted sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and honey. I then marinated chicken legs over night in the fridge and then and then cook them in the ovn. Toast amazing. Thanks for your method.

    I make honey chicken a lot, and pork…trouble is I love it more than the my three home dwellers(grumpy old man and 2 younger grumpy men) but this version tweaked my interest so I’m doing it soon. Maybe they aren’t so keen because I love to use pure honey with sesame seeds as the coating which is probably too sweet for them 🙄. Love your work ❤️

    Wow, best thing you've ever made and I can't buy any Sherry, o'well, I give it a go without it, but I got some mirin, that might work, looks yummo! I'm in!

    • @aussiegirlcancook

      instead of sherry you can use dry vermouth not sweet or maderia. you can also use unfiltered apple cider. with all of these you would use same amount as sherry. hope that helps. you are going to love this one. have an awesome night patty 💚💛

    About the corn starch i googled it and apparently in America corn flour is an actual flour but in Australia what we call cornflour on the shelves at woolies and coles even the no name stuff is actually corn starch. Check it out.dont trust me but i thought it was worth mentioning

    • @glenbaker4024
      @glenbaker4024 2 года назад

      Yep, be it made from corn or wheat corn flour and corn starch are pretty much the same. I stand to be corrected.

    • @aussiegirlcancook
      @aussiegirlcancook  2 года назад +1

      thank you Ann. a lot of people say there the same but there not. you can totally use corn flour and it will work but it will be no where near as crunchy as cornstarch. there made from different parts of the corn plant. cornstarch is mainly starch which is what gives it the crunch. have a lovely night Ann xo

    What's the difference between the Asian corn starch and the Aussie corn flour?
    Why do u need to throw the peanut oil away? Can't u keep it?

    • @aussiegirlcancook
      @aussiegirlcancook  2 года назад

      they cook different when deep frying. the oil is stuffed from the starch it is like a thick soup once you have finished cooking no good to keep at all. have a lovely weekend SDC 😁💚💛

    Corn Starch and Corn Flour are the same thing. If you go to Woolies you can pick up a no name bag of Corn Flour for under $2.
    What the US calls Corn Flour we call Polenta/Corn Meal.
