I remember sending my mum to get me guinea fowl for my home ec class. Used to drive her nuts. Not the easiest to find in late 80s. Another great video Poppy!

Hey Poppy.. I have a trick for you. Just take a regular FORK, stick it in either end of the potato.. and peel away.. once all is done rotate and finish... about %50 quicker and totally hand safe...
get your potato game in order!!!

No, the planet will stop turning, Mount Everest will invert and the sea will freeze.
Of course you can. It's no longer the same recipe, it's now you cooking. Add or exclude what you want. If it tastes good to you then make a note, and feel free to deviate more next time if you choose. If not then probably don't do it again.

I might add a layer of cheese and pepperoni on top to make it a pizza. In any case, as my brother in law found out and my future wife is going to find out. In this family, if a recipe calls for taters, double it. Even if that means making a side dish that is only taters.

I don't peel potatoes like that at all. I hold the potato in the fingers of my weak hand and put the thumb of my strong hand underneath, drawing the peeler down to my thumb in a whittling style motion. I find it gives me more control and is faster for me.
Not a chef, but I did do national service and one day was made to peel 4 sacks of potatoes as punishment lol. That was in 1987 and my fingers still hurt 🤣
