Thank you so much for this video. I just got through reading Ricky Nelson's biography two days ago. "TEEN IDOL". I'm so glad that I was brought up watching Ozzie and Harriet. I loved the show then and love watching the reruns. Good memories! Ricky was indeed a "TEEN IDOL". I never really cared for Elvis, evan though Rick was a fan. There never was and never will be another "RICKY". LOVE YOU RICKY", RIP.
Another time and another place where I grew up and miss terribly. Am down to spending hours and hours of listening to all those old radio and TV shows as well as all the music before 1955. Yes, there was some good after 1955, but not much!!
After all these years, I finally saw this clip promoted, and I enjoyed a look back in time. I heard that Rick's son Sam was supposed to save the originals, but he didn't follow through. I think the Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet shows were one of the best TV sitcoms in history. Of course, I especially loved to watch Rick sing at the end of the show. Generations tend to be unaware of the previous generations' talent. Some people don't know who were the Beatles and don't know anything about Elvis. Time goes on. We can remember and appreciate even if others don't know about them.
For the past few days I watched Ozzie & Harriet adventure with their children. Couldn't help it. Everytime Ozzie open his mouth was hilarious. He was so funny I can't help to always laugh. The twins looks exactly like grandpa though. And Sam is Ricky's resemblance
They were indeed, the idealized picture of what America was in that era of the 1940s and early 50s. Good moral upbringing, devotion to God, country and family. I greatly miss this America.
Very informative, but Harriet was not the first female band singer. Several years earlier, Paul Whiteman hired the great Mildred Bailey, who latter married Red Norvo and their own band.
You did watch this, correct? Why they are a more influential sitcom had nothing to do with the technical aspects of television. Your point about Desi is true but I think they were looking at Ozzie and Harriet outside technical discoveries.
This is the America I remember this is the American Family I know what happened what happened to her country what happened to our families it's 2019 it's a big mess
Very wholesome comforting show. These hard times we need this.

Harriet looked like a young Bacall as a young woman. Looked like Bacall as both grew older
I love Ozzie and Harriet but the most influential TV sitcom was I Love Lucy due to Desi Arnaz's 3- camera filming in front of a live audience !

It's NOW 2021 and a MUCH BIGGER MESS with Covid-19 and more!!
It is now February 2023, and America is worst.
Harriet enjoyed her snort and occasionally cig.
