Back in my day, we had it much easier. 6 weeks basic. Airman "" reports day 1 onward. MOB WW2 dorm late 1981. 2nd floor rear under the fire exit escape light to write letters at night. .22 adapters in our M-16s for the entire 4 years. All uniforms out day1, blues worn after 3 weeks. 2 base passes, 2 town passes PLUS, early on could go see Spurs vs. Lakers at the start, in blues only, like week 1. That was Kareem playing, the major draw. I passed on that, both town passes and 1 base pass. Rented bikes on base pass, allowed?? who knows?? Polishing boots & shoes the major thing then. Each floor 26 airmen, 4 showers on in each bathroom, 2 left, 2 right. Showered using only Cold water to have double stall to myself, LOL. RH&T dorms were the newer Vietnam era type, where we ate & had classes. Dayroom was tiny bldg. outside dorm, 1 color TV & too much smoke. 1 payphone out front, both of these for multiple dorms. I wandered off to Red X MOB dorms, they had unused payphones in abundance. Had my USAF dependent ID card still. TI's were fairly calm, ours, not all others. Spent every moment studying & making sure to pas all inspections. Only 1 of 2 that passed 1st inspection with toothpaste residue on a brand new toothbrush, only demerit. Not great at pushups but was doing 1 handers in tech. school. Ran several miles before basic. Required 2 retreats & 2 parades, only did 1 retreat. Someone always whining about missing each 1 for our dorm guard or for other barracks, I volunteered to replace them. I was 4F but made it in, had leg braces as a kid on Dover AFB in 1960's, daytime ones and nighttime more horrible ones. No database to have that show up then. 1 guy was failing quick 1 day for 1.5 mile run, we always did in formation. Me & another guy carried him rest of way, no one noticed his feet above the ground. In military then even under 18 you could drink. Most of shop at Myrtle AFB drank heavily and smoked. 328x1 Avionics Navigation. New A-10A's, out in 4 to work flightline B-1B production Palmdale.
i made a 68 overall, for dental you have to score high in the general section! i don’t remember my general score but if you look up different jobs you can find the score you need

if it’s minor, you will go to the athletic trainer. they are there to help people that get slightly injured in bmt. if you have a major injury like a broken leg you will be put in med hold and be recycled back until your leg heals and you are able to resume training

yes for physical test we had 3 PT test, but only the last one counted. you have more medical exams at BMT too, like hearing tests and stuff like that. and for academic testing we took one EOC at the end of BMT that we studied for all throughout BMT. that’s it really!!

unfortunately there is nothing the Air Force can do about this. it is your families responsibility to get to and from graduation. it sucks and some people graduate with no family in the crowd, but you can have one of your wingman's family tap you out.

can you bring makeup to basic? do you have time to do it? or at your graduation?
I think you can wear makeup only twice and that’s for your flight photo and graduation.
New A-10A's, out in 4 to work flightline B-1B production Palmdale.
why do your make your videos brightened by 1000%
what do you mean?
@@calliegreen like ur specific videos are immensely bright like i have my brightness all the way down and it’s still bright
Hey girl , what did you make on your asvab to become a Dental Assistant?
i made a 68 overall, for dental you have to score high in the general section! i don’t remember my general score but if you look up different jobs you can find the score you need
You have to score a minimum of 44 on the general section of the ASVAB to get dental assistant
@@calliegreenhow long was your tech school?
@@kierragray8144 2 months;) it’s mostly on the job training so we learn the basics in tech school
@@pariswilliams658 thank you!!
Anyone can tell me how frequently you can use bathroom during BMT training? Thanks
What are some good materials to study for the ASVAB test ??? Struggling with this rn don’t know what resources to use.
Grammar hero RUclips videos are super similar to the questions on the actual test!! I got a 92 :)
Math
for your picture you said we can wear makeup , do we just pack it with us when we first get there ?
If you want furniture provided taken out of your dorm can you have it removed?
Why in the graduation pictures where you an A1c? Were you in CAP or was there another program that allowed you to graduate as E-3
there are many things that allow you to be A1C when joining. i went to college for 2 years and also had 3 years of JROTC and one year of ROTC experience prior to joining. so that’s why i got A1C after graduating BMT.
@@calliegreen That's sick. I didn't know you could do it through JROTC, I'm in Civil Air Patrol and that allows you to graduate as an A1c. Thanks for the info
Can you do a video explaining after BMT the transition to tech school? Did you have a roommate at tech school compared to being at your first duty station living in single dorms? I'm sure it's much better
I have a question. What do they do if you have a minor or major injury during PT training. Like muscle tightness or a broken leg for example?
if it’s minor, you will go to the athletic trainer. they are there to help people that get slightly injured in bmt. if you have a major injury like a broken leg you will be put in med hold and be recycled back until your leg heals and you are able to resume training
Hi ! Im supposed to be leaving in November do yall get issued rucks ?
we get issued regular backpacks
@@calliegreen thank you
@alexxmitchell8476 rucks is for Security Forces if that’s your job
Heyy i have a question so being that im 22yrs old what would my run time be max-min ?
heyy!! so if you google air force PT test 2023 there’s a website with all the scores for all of the different ages. the run time is high i got like a 14 minute run and still had a 90+ PT score. i believe the minimum is 18.56
Can you do a video on the physical test requirements to graduate?
Question. Im not in bmt but my boyfriend is about yo go in. How would i find out his flight number?
hiii. i’m going to meps august 14. to verify my picat answers. i’m just scared about not meeting weight if they’re gonna measure all those things that day. i’m underweight for my height but i’ve heard there’s plenty of overweight / underweight ppl. should i worry ?
to leave for BMT you have to be in your weight range. if you are underweight or overweight, you will have to wait to leave for BMT. it’s not gonna disqualify you from joining though
The online weight system is a little bit wrong, on the military site it said I was underweight but when I went into MEPS I qualified with my weight
I’m thinking of joining Air Force or army I’ve contacted both and I’ve been talking to a few recruiters
Which did you pick?
What are the graduation pt standards
Hello , please is it easy to get citizenship via Air Force ?
Are drills also done on weekends?
like marching?
How many weeks are the bootcamp?
Hi love ur videos I’m currently exploring my options in joining the military. What job did you choose?
i’m a dental assistant:) medical is the best lol but i’m a little biased
@@calliegreendid you need actual medical school to do that or do they teach you it all there?
ur?
Comment on your dorm instructor, were they good?
i just got out of bmt and i was a bulldog too
what kind of shots do y'all get? that's the only thing I'm contemplating about
My son she graduated bmt oct 26
I love your room 🥹🥹
I’m in the DEP program right now and I had a question about hair regulations. Do we have to put our hair up in a bun or can it be a ponytail instead?
you can wear a ponytail or a braid, but it has to be a certain length. i would google pictures to get an idea of the length your hair can be!! my hair is soooo long so i just wear a bun lolol but yes you can wear a ponytail, a braid, or 2 braids! :)
do they make u do a urine test at meps the day u ship out?
Can you describe the tests that y’all had to take in BMT
yes for physical test we had 3 PT test, but only the last one counted. you have more medical exams at BMT too, like hearing tests and stuff like that. and for academic testing we took one EOC at the end of BMT that we studied for all throughout BMT. that’s it really!!
❤❤❤
How fast do you have to run a mile?
To write letters faster
You active or reserves ?
first off i came from the 326, so of course bulldogs are the best. i think I see pictures of Sgt Geroux, did you have him as a MTI?
yesss he was my MTI
he was legit the best mti in the whole squadron. he was the goat
@@calliegreen
Do they have blow dryers at bmt or are you allowed to bring your own?
I don’t think blow dryers allowed ask your recruiter just to be sure .
are you from bulldogs? that's where I graduated. what's your career field?
yes! i’m a dental assistant
@@calliegreen so you know the drill.
Thanks for sharing! Your videos really help in preparation. During my research I saw we were able to take 10 days off after BMT before we go to Tech school. Is that correct? If anyone can let me know, that’d be great! 😊
What type and color of socks did you take?
Are the classes hard? I get distracted easily when it comes to school lol
The hardest part is not falling asleep in those classrooms lol
With them hading the hand release push up, shuttle run & etc.. are you allowed to do that during basic or is that only after ?
How do you cope being away from family? 😭
What happens if your family can't come to graduation for financial or other reasons of some kind?
unfortunately there is nothing the Air Force can do about this. it is your families responsibility to get to and from graduation. it sucks and some people graduate with no family in the crowd, but you can have one of your wingman's family tap you out.
@calliegreen thanks for the info. It is much appreciated. Your channel has been very helpful, and I really enjoy all of the content you make.
Hooyah Bulldogs!!!! 🐶🐶 Just finished
whats PT?
