Prior Marine here. Im currently joining the AF as a maintainer. You are right though, AF does have much better bases, dorms, and quality of life. In the Marines it is constant stress and it was not worth it. Some people I know would not agree with me, but I wish I would have joined the AF first. I was stationed at Edwards AFB in California for 2 years out of my 4 year contract. Just living there and talking to the Airmen, seeing their day to day life is what inspired me to join the AF. I promise to anyone reading this, it is not worth the stress and depression that comes with joining the marines. If you want to be in a more career and academically driven environment, then join the AF instead!!
The AIR FORCE/SPACE FORCE/COAST GUARD is the best branch to join. The ARMY is not worth it unless he or she can put up with the bullsh*t. The ARMY focuses on quantity instead of quality quantity, which means a lot of people shouldn't be in the military but can still be in the military. Alot of back stabbers and alot of people in the ARMY, I am not willing to trust him or her in a life and death situation, low quality people in the ARMY.
@@JeremyGraham-gf8qc Exactly the type of person I hated being around in the marines. A bunch of alcoholic meat head with huge egos and mental issues. But go off king.
Great video! I am in the Army and I gotta say, the AF has a good quality of life but the Army also have a great quality of life as well. We have both have bases in similar places if not the same places, the Army is also very big on education and it’s pretty chill as long as you do what you need to do. Salute to you for serving our country and I wish you all the best in your career.
I'm thinking about joining the AF for various reasons one being that I want to make a career for myself and I believe that the AF could help me with that. This video is motivating me to join especially since you had said that it's the best branch for careers and education. Thanks so much! Hopefully I'll be able to talk to a recruiter soon.
My dreams were to always go into the Military, but things changed for certain reasons! Now I think about what could have been years ago! The one thing I can proudly tell you and every member in the military is that I love you'll so much for giving me the very freedom I have today! I'm a proud member and supporter of the San Antonio Patriot Guard Riders! This is how close I am to being side by side with veterans from all branches! I'll always support the men and women of our number 1 United States Military! God bless you always and forever! My prayers are with you'll!
Once I turn 17 I’m gonna try and join the Air Force, it’s been a big dream of mine since about 7th or 8th grade, I’m currently working on trying to get strength back into my knees and shoulders from past injuries. But I’m I plan on going into air transportation and I’m really excited
hey, I just graduated last week! in my first week of tech school now 🥰. tbh … it wasn’t terrible going in the summer .. some days were really hot but we weren’t in the sun for a very very long time unless we transited somewhere. Overall the experience wasn’t that bad .. I rate it a 7/10
I loved being in the USAF. The biggest downside of the USAF compared to the other branches would be the slower promotion opportunities due to time in grade requirements.
Some of the best years of my life were in the AF back in the early to mid 90's. Getting an assignment at RAF Chicksands in the UK was my equivalent to hitting the lottery...in terms of luck. The quality of life is so much different than the other branches and the skills learned are competitive with civilian standards. Even though the AF has no infantry per se, Security Forces does somewhat serve in that capacity..... for those who may want a touch of infantry but with the AF luxuries. 😁 Words of advice!!! For anyone joining the military, please make sure you start early on building a retirement portfolio. Noone ever spoke of this when I was in the military back then but it is so important for your future and can change your life for the better down the road.
I know that i"m late commenting but i"m thinking about joining the AF next year 2025 i got a family member to watch my 2 kids while i go so i'm nervous but excited to go and watching your videos to be at ease. i'm doing it to make a better life for them and my bd is in the marines . so both of us would be living that military life .

I got cold feet and had a two week tantrum about not joining since i was having issues with MEPS doctors and now i still want to continue and hope my recruiter doesn’t hate my ass and is willing to continue with me 😂
I'm a spouse right now, my husband isn't in the AF though. I got a high picat score and passed my physical other than a couple things they're making me get waivers for. They found asthma when I was 7...... And then anemia with my pregnancies. Ugh. So now I am impatiently waiting on my medical waivers for those things. I'm actually really nervous for it for some reason. I've been wanting to join the AF for 10 years!
Im joining but MEPS has been taking it's sweet ol time. At this point i just want to be thrown in to get everything over with (asvab, meps, bt, pt, ts) waiting is driving me crazy

thank you!! we have our own dorm but we share a bathroom. every base is different. but there’s no base where you will be sharing an actual bedroom with somebody. (except for BMT and tech school of course)

TDY can be anything from a conference, doing your job somewhere else, etc. deployments are usually when you do your job/ a job they need you to do somewhere else overseas.
