    The norns community never fails to amaze me. Just today I was finally getting around to messing around with orgnwrms (totally not the reason I missed the premiere lol) and now this comes around the corner and adds itself to the list of scripts I wanna try. Like, help! I need more time :D
    Still thank you for bringing it to my attention :)

    Hey really cool video … I have a question about the grid. I bought one myself but I’ve not yet figured out how to configure it like you do in this video or with other Norns scripts. Do you have a tutorial for this or some tips and tricks? Thanks and I always enjoy your content :)

    • @tworoundrobins
      @tworoundrobins  Год назад +2

      if you’re using it with norns you don’t need additional configuration. If the script has grid implementation it should automatically pick up and lay it out accordingly. Just be sure you’re connected. For all other stuff I’d recommend checking out the grid studies on the monome doc pages:)

    • @tworoundrobins
      @tworoundrobins  11 месяцев назад +1

      hmm not sure, I think it needs to be reworked to work on the 64 grid but I could be wrong. I do advise checking out on lines forum - maybe they would have a more concrete answer - pun intended. Be informed that you can do most of the stuff without a grid as well!

    thank you for all these great videos. i own thje morphagene. so if you start the script there is load or record above. i am not able to record life like morphagene does. the recording parameters are on input only, and i can hear myself but i can't record. do you have an idea why not? looking forward to get some tips. thx in advance

    • @tworoundrobins
      @tworoundrobins  2 месяца назад

      Hi, you can record just by pressing the button on norns if you’re at the bottom row of the script. Also be sure that the levels on the right are both up! Otherwise I suggest getting in touch with sonocircuit :)

    Do any grid based devices work or do they have to be by monome? Thanks.

    • @tworoundrobins
      @tworoundrobins  Год назад +1

      really depends! but most grid devices can work with norns, however you will need to add midi grid / touch osc to the scripts where you want to use them. I suggest checking out the threads on line in order to see what needs to be done, but as I remember it it's a simple mod where you just need to add a line of code to the existing script and it should work.

    Love this script, but my Shield really struggles to run it. Spikes the CPU to to 99% with accompanying clicks and pops. Hoping replacing the Pi 3 with a 4b will give it a bit more power and smooth out the playback?

    • @tworoundrobins
      @tworoundrobins  7 месяцев назад

      Hmm I wouldn’t recommend changing it to a 4b due to usb hubs being directly under the wifi antenna. What I suggest is changing the SD card to a faster one - also be sure you installed the correct version of the OS - so its for the correct rasPi

    • @julianblack3046
      @julianblack3046 7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for that@@tworoundrobins - I swapped the card for a higher speed Sandisk and I think I'm now on the latest version of the OS. I flashed it with the 231114 fresh install, then used update, but hit the black screen after reboot issue, so had to apply the same update again via SSH. All seem well now, and Concrete works fine, though running three hefty samples in Graintopia can still max things out in the CPU and I get the odd pop and click, but its definitely waaay better and I now have a spare Pi4 B for other projects :)
