This is a nice video about the basics. It may seem simple, but people should consider carefully before starting a business. A franchise is a good choice because they have a proven system, name recognition, prepared marketing, and buying power to get lower prices for their franchisees. My best advice would be to get an entry level job in a restaurant and try it out for a while before investing... good luck!

    Summary
    ------------------------------------------------
    1) Always try to open in a crowded location like malls ,universities or metro stations.
    2) Health regulations need to be taken into consideration at all times.
    3) You don't need to have the classic fast-food dishes in your restaurant.
    4) If you don't buy a franchise you need to come up with a good serving system.
    5) A food truck can be a lifestyle of travelling and cooking.
    6) Marketing helps you bring in new clients and promote offers.
    7) Offering more than minimum wage can bring you better employees.
    8) Food spoils easily and that means less profit for you.
    9) Creating the menu can be in your favor if you do it smart.
    10) Listen to what your customers want and order.
    11) Depending on the country you are in your menu will have to adapt.
    12) Customers can be very rude or whining so be prepared.
    13) It's hard to find good employees that will stick with you.
    14) Profit is made by selling more products and minimizing waste.
    15) Don't try to get in the delivery wave.
    16) You can test your idea with a pop-up location.
    17) That's it.
I've found 16 is the most interesting insight

That’s a decent idea there are a lot of cons tho for example prep would be difficult due to the window, also costs will also be difficult to manage due to the different ingredients you are always using,Also a vote system could cause anger between customers as they never got what they want
If you can find problems and solutions and adapt the business to this before you open it may be a good success

How much does it cost to operate a food truck in a council approved area? Do they charge per day or per year operation? Im asking because i love my takeaway business but the rent is killing me

    • @jamessmithers7593
      @jamessmithers7593 4 года назад

The real cost is many municipalities require you have a commercial kitchen where you park your vehicle every night.
Existing restaurants with a brick and mortar location don't like competing against lower cost alternatives so they have politicians make laws that are designed to keep food trucks from undercutting them and taking their customers.
There will be some form of language which says you need a place approved by the Health Dept, where you store and prep food in addition to dispose of grease and waste. Depending on where you live there may be commercial kitchens designed specifically to rent out space to food trucks, caterers and other chef who need a place to prepare food. If you have connections you may be able to work out a deal with an existing restaurant. Just remember they want a low maintenance revenue stream not a competitor. If you can't do these you need to find the lowest cost means of meeting the minimal standards.

Dont invest a business that you yourself dont know how to run. If food business is your passion, be a crew first, or gain experiences in restaurants as worker or cook then if you are ready to set up for your own restautant then go for it. Dont go into a business that is not your passion you will never have the enjoyment of it.

@@prasadpdrc7323 Hi Prasad , I am NOT Uchiha ( the guy that you asked your question ) I just saw your question and i would write you my Opinion , I hope it could help you .
IF you do not have experience in the fast food business you have try it before open your own business .
If you do not have experience in running a fast food restaurant you might lose lots of money buy opening a food shop " The proof of the pudding is in the eating.
Do not tell people that you want open a for example a fast food , shop by making lets say pizza or Indian food , because maybe other steal your idea , KEEP it for yourself , do not tell people in details what you want to do , it is my opinion .
I suggest , If you want open a fast food shop and you do not have any knowledge about that , for example a Pizza shop or Turkish Döner Kebab / Shawarma or any thing else . find a shop that runs by the owner , it means he has not many staff , so it is easier for you to learn good stuff from first day , if you choose a bigger food shop ,, you end up in in back in the kitchen to wash dishes and cleaning job , not those skills you need to learn.
remember , many food shop owners , might say , my shop is small and i can NOT afford to hire an employee OR , he will ask you ,do you have experience at working in food shop ?
he might say , well , it cost me to hire you because you could not be productive in first 2 weeks or first month .
Now you have to pay extra attention ; This is the point , you can offer , well , i can come one week or two weeks and help you in your shop for free , and you have chance to see , how i work .
it is very possible you get chance to start be in a food shop and see how , to run a shop.
Remember , you should , show that you are interested in your work , even you work for free , learn as much as you can . every time you come home after work , take notes for yourself , what you learned that day . write it on a piece Of paper ( Not on your laptop ) so it is easy for you to read it any time , look at details and so on .
I am sure in this way you will learn a lot . it is possible the owner after a short period , involve you to food making ... In this way you learn a lot and you get a view how to run a food shop . maybe he hire you with a good salary , If he not hire you, well you have learned how to run a fast food shop.
After that , based on your experience , your eyes are more open and you have learned some skills that you very likely can use in future . I wrote this very fast , I hope it helps you. cheers

I am thinking about a new type of restaurants: eating-spots
in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate
this is opposed to current restaurants,
thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are more powerful than restaurants,
along with that, there is an app,
people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days,
menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app

So, she says that cutting chicken🍗 soup🍲 out of a menu for only 1 day of bad sales is a better business decision, like it's a good thing? Hello, He was a Loyal customer who ordered this same dish everyday for a whole year? How the hell is this good customer service, when you eliminate & ignore the Loyal Consumers? Regardless of money profit issues, it's Far Better to keep the Loyals returning, rather than turning your backs on them. I hope that Guy never returns & finds a new Restaurant who appreciates his -> LOYALTY! This is HORRIBLE Business advice from pretentious millenials, of course, go figure! 2 Thumbs down!!!! 👎😡👎🐂💩🗑🐑

It's all about the money not the loyal stupid customer. It's all about using the customer for money and ferrari. That's good business
