2005 rsx-s 194,000 miles. I've changed the shocks, replaced bushings with polyurethane, and general maintenance. That's it. No issues at all. Stock clutch ect ect ect
I have a 2003 type S which I got in 2004. Replaced O2 sensor under warranty. Replaced clutch master cylinder under warranty cause it was squeaking. Replaced door jam switch $12 part. Clutch pedal switch stoppers crumbled, causing it to not start. Fixed with 2 x $8 part. Brake pedal switch stopper crumbled causing battery to drain and car not start. Fixed with $8 part. Wouldn't idle after hurricane Irma, cleaned IACV. Has an issue with the starter return spring, only on cold wet mornings, been going on for about 5 years, but not getting worse. Shifting into second gear hitches a bit if you pull too hard to the left on the shifter. Been going on for 10 years, not getting worse. Feel like selling it soon, I have had it just way too long.
Most cars are reliable if you take care of them but then there are some that are for certain more reliable then others. Honda would be on top for sure of reliable cars
These cars are super reliable and as long as they're taken care of very well, but then you have these dudes today who are just douche and beat the crap out of them, and then FUCK THE next person who buys it over........just sayin.
RSX's are very reliable when it comes to power and drivetrain, the irritating stuff is usually electrical. For example with my 02 Cdn Type S the HVAC control head (Climate control unit) was a bit pricey at $600 used. A lot of these parts can be year/block specific. I had to replace the heated seat switch $150 when the passenger one burned out. I thought it was kinda funny that it burned out first. All of these but my sunroof work however my current list of oem replacement parts and their Canadian price I should replace are. Tail light gaskets $20, Window motor $250, main wiper assembley $440, Sunroof assembly $1,200, female seat belt assembly $400 ish! I have 203k kilometers on it and it rains here a lot so wipers are on at least half the time and AC is on to keep it dry inside.
I purchased my 2006 Acura rsx 5spd base with 183,000 miles on it for $2500 I noticed after driving it a few months I had oil leak around the transmission access panel turns out it was the rear main seal and some access screw that goes into the engine block that was leaking so me as well as a friend replace the seal and put teflon tape on that screw as well as a rsx type-s light flywheel and rsx type-s exedy clutch kit far as oil goes I use Valvoline max life full synthetic and Fram ultra synthetic oil filter
my 04 RSX is very fast and reliable, and no joke. I owned camry before and I know what reliable car means.. hehehe... with routine check and all the abuse I have throwing at 8600 rpm the car still running like the first time I bought it.

it's the base it's automatic transmission and it can be switched to Manuel transmission its not a type s

In 4 years I have gone through two 02 sensors. A guy that used to use the shop I go to went through one annualy however he tracked his quite a bit.
I also had an airbag on order for 3 months for $600 but cancelled it when the HVAC unit went to pay for that.
