    It's fun but definitely not undervalued and forgotten. In Canada people are asking 8k+ for their clapped out, 250kkm+, driven-hard-put-away-wet deferred-maintenance heaps of rust; also known as the average RSX Type S up here. Also, everything is good value compared to the Integra Type R, a car that is more overvalued than the hosuing market.

Being honest, the only things that have broken for me (I.e. radiator, actuators, ect…) but even then the cost to replace those parts never broke the bank. I’ve had it for 6 years and I’m still in love with it. If you look for these, aim to get a clean title one if possible tho, thats when I’d say owner ship tends to be a smoother experience.

It is hard to find this car in really good condition anymore, which is a shame. Had my Integra not been stolen, I might still be driving IT, though. That was a GREAT car. This one, even better. Acura/Honda still called this the Integra outside the US...I think it was only in Japan. So technically this was the 2nd/3rd gen Integra.

    • @markcoopers1930
      @markcoopers1930 Год назад +2

      Correct. But you gotta be careful. You imply something is or isn't an Integra, and wars break out.
      The purists don't really like the RSX because it's very close to the current versions' view of what it means to be an Integra (take the civic, adjust the suspension and make it a bit nicer). The civic Si of that year had only 4 less HP than the RSX type S, same 0-60, and for about only 40lbs more weight it has 2 usable back seats.

    • @TheBreakfastLover
      @TheBreakfastLover Год назад +2

      "2nd/3rd gen"?! The RSX is the 4th gen Integra.

    • @TheBreakfastLover
      @TheBreakfastLover Год назад

      @@markcoopers1930 the Civic Si had 160 hp during the RSX-S' first four years of production. By the time the 200 hp Si came, the RSX was on its way out in its final year.

    • @markcoopers1930
      @markcoopers1930 Год назад

      @@TheBreakfastLover Right, that's why I specified that year, the 2006 which is featured in the video. The Si basically had to replace the RSX type S, then the financial crash hit and Acura had to hold off any actual replacement (TSX was a rebadged Euro-spec Accord rather than a Civic platform). 2002-2005 the base Integra had 160 HP and matched the Civic Si. Which is exactly the setup we see with the 2023, just with a CTR thrown in.
      The point being is that the 2001 and earlier Integra often had multitudes of power higher and leaned into ripping out AC and radios for extra weight savings. RSX shifted the focus to being a better Civic SI and THEN building up. It's the change in vision, and that's why the hardliners tend to look down on it.

    Honda/Acura was getting too conservative by the time these were out. The Integra, Prelude and S2000 were all fun and instantly recognizable. These RSX's were styled so inoffensive/bland that they got lost in a sea of early 2000s Cobalts, Corollas and base Civics of the time. RSX's nice interior and build quality at the time just couldn't overcome that.
