Man, I was crushed to not see how this game would have turned out with almost everything's still on the board. The middle game would be super interesting. But I did learn something and that's Danya's last point on getting that bishop to h3 chasing black's rook. What a great idea, and the knight followup to b5 is super nasty. Also it's great to learn how he attacks that d5 square almost from the get-go, and those knight moves that create flexibility were great.
It's so awesome to see him explain this concept. I've seen it used a few times, and last week I used this in my tournament game. I used my bishop to deflect a rook off the file to win a pawn in the center, but I realized afterwards that I drastically reduced my advantage by not following up the bishop move with a pawn break in the center because everything was pinned like danya said. The way I did it, I won the pawn too early and allowed my opponent to trade everything off and then get a rook on my 2nd rank possibly leading to a draw with his counter play
Danya you are a great instructive teacher, I've enjoyed your concept of not 'reinventing the wheel' - your words of wisdom feel like they help me push beyond my aimless moves. Thank you for your instruction and never stop being amazing. Have a great day my friend.
Just gotta say I love how positive the comments are and how I always see people pointing out what they learned and takeaways from each game. Part of what makes the speedruns amazing. Thanks Danya :)

Thx to GM Danya for not leaving it at that abrupt final move & resignation like he could’ve easily done. In spite of being tired he explained what he had in mind if the game had continued & it made this short video so much more worthwhile!🙏
danya as off February 27th this year i had been playing for one year.. every day im getting better, might not be in rating but in knowledge and technique.. you sir are the reason.. i am 1750 in rapid but still struggling on my blitz as i am only 1350..but thank you for sharing your knowledge
@@ImBrxndonUK Thanks for the support man. For blitz, focus on playing 'simple', 'good enough' moves which don't deteriorate your position too much, to gain an advantage on the clock. You can't play both fast and accurate but you can play fast and good enough. You should always have more time than your opponent, this way you have more chances of flagging him even if you end up worse. Also, this causes the opponent to come under pressure and blunder. Only take your time on critical moves. Always think on your opponent's time. Learn and master a system opening so you can blast out some moves quickly regardless of you oponnent's moves. This sounds crazy but it's probabalistic and can help to push your rating higher, although you could get destroyed in few games.
@@ImBrxndonUK definitely practice one opening to an absolute T and like Jibran said, focus on the good simple moves most of the time, however I’d like to build off that and say another thing is to try and learn when to take time to think, if it’s between two equal-ish moves, just make the simple one, whereas if the position is complicated or you’re king hunting, definitely take a think. These skills develop with time though so just keep practicing💪
I've done a few mini speedruns, from 400 to my rating of 1600. And the key difference I noticed from lower rated players compared to higher ones, is that lower rated players almost always make one-move attacking moves. They'll see I moved a knight so they automatically push a pawn to try and take my knight, not knowing they are only weakening their positions. This happens a lot. Another thing I noticed is that they love to trade pieces. Players around 1200 love to put their pieces on squares they think are juicy, but they don't wait for the right time to do it. I can usually chase them away with a pawn or even a piece exchange. I don't know, just things I noticed. So if you're reading this and you're lower rated, just remember that one-move attacks are the most common mistakes people make
This is one of the biggest problems with these "speedruns" and their enduring popularity. I'm sure there are many, many more people like this who are inspired to try it for themselves. Obviously Daniel's videos are very informative (usually anyway lol -less so this one!) but I still strongly dislike the whole concept. Open seeks for specific rating ranges, or playing subscribers, could achieve the same thing without legitimising sandbagging. Of course it's too late to criticise now they've become the go-to source of views, clicks and income for streamers.
They can mutually support each other by defending each other if they are on the same rank or file and by doing so become much more powerful than they would be if they were not connected. The queen is a more valuable and powerful piece and ideally doesn't want to be tied down to defending a rook, when it could have a more active role elsewhere.
I personally would have preferred taking back the bishop with the queen rather than knight. Allows for an easier potential outpost for the knight on d5 and you're also on step closer to completing development and connecting your rooks taking with the queen. Stockfish apparently prefers taking with queen as well but essentially negligible. Great video as always 👍🏻

Whats the point of connecting rooks? I get moving out the knights and bishops but why is it better if theres not a queen in between them?

I've heard a lot about this one. This should be awesome to check out.
Black moved the same knight like 6 or 7 times in a 10 move span...
Curious why you played Bishop to E3 and not to B2 fianchetto the dark bishop too?
as a low rated player i can feel the "pressure" that black felt as he resigned.
pls do more 1. b3 or najdorf!

Not to be confused with the Philidor Defense

But sensei wouldn't trading fianchetto bishop weaken certain dark/light squares in our position too🙂
4:27 what if we go Bf4 anyway after Nxb2 Rg1 isn't that knight is lost?
Black can play Qxb2 instead of Nxb2, encouraging a queen trade while being up a pawn.
