This game is pretty linear compared to a lot of older games. It tells you where switches and terminals are on the map once you've discovered them. So when you find an out of place item like a battery, you can open your map to see where you need to progress (look for red rooms). I think people are spoiled by newer games that have a compass and marker telling you exactly where to go at all times. That's why I like older games because you need to use your head a bit more to solve them.

Carlos finds her september 29 about lunch time. he gets to the hospital at night (assuming that the night sky wasn't an oversight in development) and begins searching for the cure. give or take an hour, while he searches the hospital for the cure, leon and claire meet at the gas station and begin their nightmare. carlos finds the cure and administers it to jill before claire, leon, and sherry escape, then watches over jill until she awakens. while he waits, Sept 30 (around dinner time or a little later rolls around) tyrel shows up to deliver the news about the missle, to which carlos goes to the underground facility beneath the hospital to find more of the cure. before tyrel shows up though, leon, claire, and sherry escape the city Sept 30 around breakfast time

Very strange people are saying about the length of the game, it being 'too short' and yet, the original was completable in 1 hour 30 mins. As was Resi 2. They both have a lot of replay value.
Exactly, the original and the remake are the SAME length. They are the same length because Carlos’s hospital section was expanded on in the remake, the opening part of the remake is expanded on, the path to the clock tower is expanded on since in the original game after surviving the train crash Jill immediately ends up at the clock tower while in the remake Jill ends up under ground leading up to the clock tower. It took me 6 hours to beat both games. "The remake is too short" so is the original, plus a six hour game isn’t necessarily short unless you’re tryna speed run it.

The game looks absolutely amazing and i can't wait to play it! But they really should've kept the original RE type of menu, inventory, and the sounds when you navigate the menu. I like the quick inventory, but another full inventory menu to sort out your items and check your character would've been nice. And those navigation sounds were so special.. But i don't get that hairstyle by Carlos, why does he look like Ben Stiller stranded on a desert island

Definitely couldve used more years of development time to keep the tower content for example and less scripted Nemesis events (funny how back then mr x was the scripted event guy while nemesis was the one constantly chasing your ass. Now its the other way around)

Capcom did the same thing with the original RE2 and 3, with RE2 coming out in 1998 and RE3 coming out in 1999. The first one I played is Resident Evil 3. I always admired good female characters who aren’t damsels in distress like Lara Croft and oh boy that game was scary in my opinion. I played a short moment where Jill forced a door open while zombies were closing in on her. From that moment I let the grown up play as a anxiously watched on. Good old times..
How many times are you going to run through a door to escape a zombie, pull out your gun on the other side, and then get bored and check the door right as it opens and get bit? It's happened like five times and you're not even halfway through.

While I understand that games try to make it scary. I am still amazed at how little games allow you to kick. As a kickboxer, my first instinct is to always kick if the distance is a priority due to the legs being longer.

I just finished watching this RE3 Remake game walkthrough. A long time fan of the games, in particular because of the story. While it might sound weird, I actually liked the original better. The fact that the original plot was compact made it more sound and Nemesis was somehow cooler. But it was nice to see Carlos done justice in this. I think RE: Survivor is desperately in need of a remake.

Like Mr. X in the 2 remake, it seems you have to learn which game events trigger Nemesis's appearances, and explore everything you can before those events. In the first part of the game, for example, he apparently doesn't start stalking until you until the substation is back online.
I am half convinced that the screams made by Jill's voice actress were made realistic by whatever screwed up shit the production team did to her on set. Also, I fucking LOVE how Nemesis looks in this remake! I prefer his movie version, though...
If he hits three out of five headshoots, dodge Nemesis at least three times during the encounters, keeps a tidy inventory and has a clean movement, then it is a plus in my book. Very strange people are saying about the length of the game, it being 'too short' and yet, the original was completable in 1 hour 30 mins. As was Resi 2. They both have a lot of replay value.
Exactly, the original and the remake are the SAME length. They are the same length because Carlos’s hospital section was expanded on in the remake, the opening part of the remake is expanded on, the path to the clock tower is expanded on since in the original game after surviving the train crash Jill immediately ends up at the clock tower while in the remake Jill ends up under ground leading up to the clock tower. It took me 6 hours to beat both games. "The remake is too short" so is the original, plus a six hour game isn’t necessarily short unless you’re tryna speed run it.
Just got this on sale for 15 bucks, came with the second one too. Can't wait to re live one of my favorite games of all times.

The game looks absolutely amazing and i can't wait to play it! But they really should've kept the original RE type of menu, inventory, and the sounds when you navigate the menu. I like the quick inventory, but another full inventory menu to sort out your items and check your character would've been nice. And those navigation sounds were so special..

I'm sad that it was so short (I guess the original was too but still) but it was so damn good and it ran so well.
Definitely couldve used more years of development time to keep the tower content for example and less scripted Nemesis events (funny how back then mr x was the scripted event guy while nemesis was the one constantly chasing your ass. Now its the other way around)
@@veezuhlife well yes but he had way more time and wide range of area where he chases you around. This one felt more like a boss battle specific arena for each nemesis encounter instead of him walking around chasing you at first.

@@veezuhlife Apparently they started making this while also doing the RE2 Remake. This was just made by a secondary team. Capcom did the same thing with the original RE2 and 3, with RE2 coming out in 1998 and RE3 coming out in 1999. While the originals didn't look like they shared a lot because of the whole pre-rendered static background setup, they were essentially the same engine (with tweaks, as 3 also made Jill able to better dodge than Leon and Claire could).
The original RE3 was meant to be a sidestory that provided a prologue and epilogue to RE2. It wasn't even meant to be RE3, Code Veronica was. The change in console generations is what led to Capcom deciding to end the Racoon City story as the official '3' and do Code Veronica on Dreamcast, with an upgraded release on PS2 later. This would also lead to the creation of Devil May Cry during lull in RE games where Code Veronica X was being ported to PS2 and RE4 was being developed for Gamecube.

The first one I played is Resident Evil 3. I always admired good female characters who aren’t damsels in distress like Lara Croft and oh boy that game was scary in my opinion.
I played a short moment where Jill forced a door open while zombies were closing in on her.
From that moment I let the grown up play as a anxiously watched on.

I remember watching bits and pieces of these games growing up. Never really played this one myself, but I like the level designs.
How many times are you going to run through a door to escape a zombie, pull out your gun on the other side, and then get bored and check the door right as it opens and get bit? It's happened like five times and you're not even halfway through.

I didn't realize I didn't actually finish this game until today. I cranked it up and never went up the elevator to the Helicopter lol. I don't know why I didn't finish only had 5 min left lol.
While I understand that games try to make it scary. I am still amazed at how little games allow you to kick. As a kickboxer, my first instinct is to always kick if the distance is a priority due to the legs being longer.
Even the zombie raised their hand signs they were dead and you still keep stabbing them... OMG

I just finished watching this RE3 Remake game walkthrough. A long time fan of the games, in particular because of the story. While it might sound weird, I actually liked the original better. The fact that the original plot was compact made it more sound and Nemesis was somehow cooler. But it was nice to see Carlos done justice in this. I think RE: Survivor is desperately in need of a remake.

Like Mr. X in the 2 remake, it seems you have to learn which game events trigger Nemesis's appearances, and explore everything you can before those events.
In the first part of the game, for example, he apparently doesn't start stalking until you until the substation is back online.
