I've used MeGuiar’s on my vehicles as well because it isn't greasy and smelly like Armor All or others. I found it good in the house as well on my square leather ottoman and long leather bench in the entrance cleans and protects great.
I'm pretty sure the instructions for the Aerospace 303 says to BUFF it after it dries. Used this for years on Jet Skis and boats and that has always been a required step.

Absolutely not! Plastics and leather "MUST" be super clean before applying any protectant, otherwise you're simply sealing in the dirt and crap. So no, you are most definitely not the weirdo bud. You're simply one who is smart enough to apply a little common sense!
Nice! I ended up really liking the product. Have used Aerospace 303 for the last decade religiously, but made the switch to Meguiares for the interior after this test.
Meguiars too shiny and reflection onto windshield is bad. 303 for me is best and I feel its the best protectant out there, not really a cleaner. Good comparison though.
Agreed. I tried to perform a test most people are going to do on their vehicles. The majority of folks are going to buy a product from the store and directly apply it without cleaning first.
I tried to do the video based on what the majority of people are going to do in their cars...being only using one application. The people whom are really die hard about cleaning and protecting will tell you to do both. I have had great success with using only a single product at a time.
I believe the products should've been applied in the shade/garage. After application they could've been brought out to the sun and evaluated at length. But what do I know?
Your correct. I tried to setup a scenario that would be consistent and that most people would apply. To me it seems like most people are going to apply the products at any point in time without reading the instructions first.
I believe a lot of auto detailers use all purpose cleaners. Simple green should be fine if you dilute it and just to clean. Make sure you use a conditioner/protectant afterwards Some even use super clean or McGuire's all purpose cleaner. That are highly reviewed and not very expensive
I always used 303 but now out of nowhere is started staining things white... maybe they had a formula change or maybe it's just my bottle but for that reason, I'm out.

I think the inconsistency with the 303 is the application. Doesn’t look like a thorough application as per the instructions.

Great vid, but why are you using a protectant on a dirty surface?
As he stated, that's how most people do it out of laziness/time. They don't clean and apply, at least no one I know does except myself.

Yes 303, UV protection is their game and he did use the protectant but they do have an interior cleaner / all surfaces too
Did you use the Supreme Shine one? Meguiars has multiple line-ups...
These are not cleaners. Protectant are used after cleaning.
Dash needs a wipe over first with very diluted multi purpose cleaner.

303 looks incomsistent because u cleaned very bad! And u are comparing a protectant ( meguiars) against real cleaners, wich is not kinda fair
