I still got my A3500. I visited Costco to see a demonstration of the V1200, and she was fabulous. We thumbed through some of the recipes, and tried them. Most of the customers went for the pineapple/banana/lemon smoothies, as those had a wonderful taste, especially with the hot weather we've had lately. You can make the V1200 do many automatic functions with its Blue Tooth capabilities, that you wouldn't otherwise get with its manual controls. None the less, for my situation, me and the rep both agreed that the A3500 is the best choice for my situation. This lady was truly gifted with a big heart, and was 100% in tune with the customer's interests. If I had a choice between the V1200 and a Ninja, I would go with the Vitamix, even if it's an E310. They are just a better blender. And it's not just the blender, it's the people who make and sell them.
I just bought this model at Costco and do love it. I wish you had mentioned the ability to connect via the app, and use the preset programs for a set it and forget it aproach, such as soup, smoothie, ice cream, etc(about 18 of them!). Also I have used the 8oz container to make casher butter and it worked great!
Indya, you're 100% right. You *can* connect via the app and use the preset programs there for walkaway blending on this model, the V1200. Totally forgot about this capability, so thanks for pointing it out. :) Also, glad to hear you made cashew butter with the 8 oz! Did you use soaked cashews?
Right now the V1200 seems to me like the best of both worlds (smart & classic models) for a better price. To me is the no holds barred model for everybody looking for the most cost effective model. The Perfect Blend app completely leverages the Venturist with both the Ascent 2500 and 3500 with respect to the preprogrammed functions.
Thank you soooo much! We are addicted to your channel! Newbies to the Vitamix, health issues getting under control with nutrition and whole foods and looking forward to more began options for our family. We just realized you are in our hometown. So super dontcha know! :) Love the market!
The app allows for project presets such as soups, smoothies, cleaning, etc.. 15+ programs. Great for walk away blending. A major selling point made by my local display technician. I paid $429 +tax. A steal if you ask me. I am curious about the smaller 40oz container. This device will not operate with any ole vitamix container. It needs a transponder of sorts that the machine recognizes as a compatible container to function. Is the 40-48 oz(I can’t recall) compatible? Do you sell them?? How much???
i use my 48 oz container almost exclusively. the 64 oz just sits on our top shelf. it doesn't blend nearly as well...its harder to blend things in it i find.
OMG thank you for making this video I bought the machine at Costco almost two weeks ago and I have yet to open the box because I wasn't sure it was a right fit for what I plan to use it for. After seeing this video I am going to return it and get a narrow model Vitamix.
Really grateful for this review. I was considering this so I could make smaller batches of frozen nice-cream, nut-butters, and smoothies. Looks like the Explorian might be a better option. I'm single and rarely need large quantities.
🙋♂Who wanted to hold the baby? OMG thinking of the great baby food you can prepare. I purchased a Venturist 1200 from Costco (think $400) and came in a special package w/immersion blender. Works great, very impressed, think 5200 or 750 narrow gage w/ stainless container, and passing this along to a nephew
Saw this demo'd at Costco yesterday. I have a Blendtec but would buy a Vitamix for the right price (I love good gadgets :-)). However, I thought the small container would be good for nut butters, like the Blendtec Twister jar is. That's too bad.
Nice explanation! Great side kick!!! He's so cute!!! I have this Vitamin.. I'm not sure I like it because of not being able to set it and walk away. I like the specific button for specific blends! I don't like the huge footprint on the counter.. What is the BEST blender for me????
Hi. Great video. Is 0.9 liter container good for nut buttera and frozen ice cream or do I need to buy norrow 64oz container. Not sure if it will help. Thanl you
Hey, our family is in the market for a new blender. After extensive research and loads of recommendations we have narrowed it down to either the ninja or the vita mix. Truthfully the Vitamix comes with higher recommendations. So now that we are trying to decide on a specific model. We live in Canada and Costco has a particular model on sale. Vitamix Explorian E320 + Personal Cup Adapter. On the Vitamix site they have a reconditioned model that is of great interest. Certified Reconditioned Venturist V1200. So now the million dollar question is which one do we select. Anyone have any additional thoughts, advice or suggestions. Any particular features that make one or the other stand out. It's a big investment and we want to make sure we make the right choice.
The Venturist is a great deal right now, and people love it. Less loud than the E series, compatible with Smart accessories like the 8 oz and 20 oz containers. lifeisnoyoke.com/out/vitamix/reconditioned-v1200/
I purchased a reconditioned A2300 from Vitamix. I received it and peeled off the reconditioned label to see the original label. The original label shows it's a V1200 Venturist edition which was built in October 2017. I am confused because my blender looks like the A2300, but the V1200 Venturist edition from 2017 looks different than what I got. I think they changed the base from the simple knob without 3 settings to the brushed aluminum knob with the 3 settings (smoothies, hot soup, etc.). I am kind of confused
@@LINY I totally agree and I am puzzled. I am thinking about returning it because of how I can't understand why the original label is a V1200. Do you know if a model like the 5300 from Sam's club has the same quality as the ones from Viatmix?
@@LINY So, I contacted Vitamix and the explanation I was given makes sense. The V1200 Venturist edition is a Costco model. If a Costco customer buys a Vitamix and returns it, it has to be returned to Vitamix and can't be resold to Costco as a new model nor a reconditioned item. Vitamix doesn't sell the V1200 Venturist on their website since it's a Costco model, so they swap the base since most of their blenders share the same base design. Their blenders are modular so they can swap parts between different models. So, the agent couldn't give me the repair history, but believes the base was of a Costco model and was swapped with an A2500 since Vitamix can sell that on their website. The original base was that of a V1200 and was built in October 2017. I am not sure if Iw ill keep it or return it and buy a brand new 5300 from Sam's Club for $10 cheaper and get 7 years of warranty vs the 5 years I got with the reconditioned A2500
I have a 5200 with the dry grains container. the blades have have all come loose and the warranty is expired. I need a vitamix that can grind flours and I am also tired of the rubber lids expanding and not staying on. I am not able to find info which newer model can use the dry grains container . please help
Sorry to hear that, Evelyn. We should be able to help you out: All full-size models can use a Dry Grains container, but there are different types. There is the 32 oz Classic dry grains container, which is compatible with and only compatible with Classic machines (like your 5200). These come with the rubber lids. For the Smart System machines, there is the 48 oz dry grains container, which is compatible with and only compatible with Smart machines (like the A2500). These come with Tritan plastic lids. Hey there! First time on your channel. Very informative! I used to demonstrate the Vitamix 5000 and 5200 series way back in the day so I started a channel to show how to use it. I came to your video to see the differences between the models because I've been out of the game for a while and haven't kept up on the differences between them. Thanks for the info. I think 3500 is the way to go but I am a package deal kind of buyer! Haha. It's just the 3500 is so sexy in comparison.
I think the v1200 is a worthy model to consider...rebuilt...as a "first high-power blender". When you don't truly know what you TRULY need the blender for. Just in-case you "geeked out" watching blender videos. :) I'm sure there are TONS ob buyers who don't truly need a Vitamix or a high $ blender. BUy one...get into making the nut butters, soups...but over time end up just using it to make the odd smoothie. Happens. For that reason...I say the v1200 or the a2300 or the e310 would be better "1st Vitamix"... Once you KNOW you're going to make mother than smoothies regularly...upgrade...

Life is NOYOKE no really it’s not fault that you can’t sell it and understand that you can’t talk about, but talk the machine down cause if you could sell that it would be the best thing since sliced bread. It bothered me that you would make seem so terrible in your first video and I’m guessing the people from vitamix gave you hints to retract.
Question don’t you sell all those items that you said you don’t really need? It’s not that loud and E310 is even louder and trying to get people to buy that one. Your sending to conflicting messages and I think your just thinking of yourself selling items yourself. You should’ve not mentioned this machine and you would’ve better off.
@@LINY quick response! Thanks for the video, it was useful and informative as I'm trying to decide whether to keep the V1200 I got last week at Costco or trade for the cheaper E320. And I appreciate that you have the promo schedule up on your site; I will stay tuned to it for the deals on containers next spring.
You would have been better off staying neutral and not “reviewing “ it. It was a pretty feeble attempt at sounding unbiased. I do enjoy most of your videos though. The major advantage from buying from Costco is you can return it at anytime, no questions asked. That’s a pretty big selling point especially when you drop $400+ on a blender. I doubt anyone else can offer that.
Sets of two bowls bit.ly/2JeOzPq and cups bit.ly/2LagBxm available for purchase without blending base. Great for those who already have one of the bases and want more bowls or cups.
this is a very bias review... you have nothing but negative things to say about V1200... i purchased one and i love it! You are providing the worst and most bias review. In certain ways you are almost lying as it does have preset programs via the app for a set it and forget it approach (which you accidentally forgot to mention). When adjusting the small blender setting on to the vitamix you can easily make dips and salsas for one, two or more. If you want to make ice cream or frozen smoothies for 1 or 2 people you simply follow the instructions on quantity and you make just enough for as many people as you'd like. You are clearly promoting your sales and degrading the v1200. There is absolutely no need to purchase an additional 48 oz container. thats wrong of you to promote. Finally having your kid in there is very distracting, stopping to talk about the kid or to the kid every other minute was annoying asf
It's not like anyone is making you watch these.. If the newborn bothers you... Vote with a click of your mouse buttons I say! If I get value from someone taking the time to educate me, I'll watch, like the video and even go as far as support them by a link purchase.
The baby is a sales technique ("help support our family!") type thing. It's a pretty common technique. I agree baby was not necessary, but the baby is still cute :)
pretty sure costco sold same same level of vitamix you'd get anywhere else a decade ago, not this skynet version. it has program settings, you just need an app. this thing was giving me tweeked out AI bugs within 3 uses and lmao the large blending container isn't small, the damn thing couldn't even make a daqari, it just tossed strawberry bits all over the sides, basically needed to use the small one. maybe if you want to make drinks for a party it's not big enough.
Thanks for a dispassionate perspective. I’ll be trying for meal replacement sized smoothies and I already own a 20oz Vitamix travel mug. So I’ll be going with an Ascent Series plus an accessory narrow jug. I really don’t need any of the “Costco package.” The package works well with the demo salesperson’s call “You say you want more for your money, I’ll tell you what else you get!”
Why should I support the salesman? Someone on commission is obviously biased. A customer should look for the cheapest possible price and no way consider supporting the salesperson. The salesman is an inefficiency in the system. It is like saying let us rob you because it is the right thing to do. Makes no sense. Real estate agents, car dealers, insurance brokers, anyone working on a commission is incentivized to lie and hence cannot be trusted.
I found this video exasperating. Why is the baby (albeit lovely) in the video? It's a distraction to the viewer and father. And SO MUCH time wasted on uselss chatter, shaky cam, and things that should have been edited out. This video seriously lacks focus and is all over the place. Make a list of the things you need to convey in order of importance and follow that outline. Cut the rest. If you are an over-talker, edit it out.
I just bought this, did not even take it out of the box yet, Costco rep was only pushing this latest and greatest V1200 and later on, I went home, did some googling, found out he LIED on a number of things... 1) he said only commercial blenders in general are 3 HP, that no home models are that high - WRONG! KitchenAid Pro Line is 3.5 HP, 2) he said Jamba Juice uses Vitamix blenders - WRONG again! Jamba Juice uses Blendtec blenders and now they sell their own branded Hamilton Beach blenders with 8-yr. warranty, 2.4 HP, which is higher than the Vitamix V1200 at 2.2 HP, 3) he said Blendtec blenders only offer a one year warranty - totally FALSE, it usually comes with 8 year warranty. Because the rep told so many lies, I feel like returning it...! Thanks for your review.
Just found this channel and this video! I got *sucked* into the Costco roadshow, and wish I maybe did a little more research beforehand (*last day of the sale***) 🤦🏻♀️. We’ve recently gone plant based, and had a ninja which doesn’t cut it for blending smooth sauces, butters or milk alternatives. I was attracted to the personal blender cups because we had 6 of them for our ninja - we made personal smoothies two or more times daily... and man these vitamix personal cups SUUUUUUUCK. For all the reasons pointed out in your video. And the machine itself SO noisy (was hoping it’d be quieter for the 6am blending sessions without waking kids after working out - NOPE). Oi vey. I’m on the precipice of returning to Costco, which makes me sad (because I like using it for culinary purposes but agreed the wide container is also NOT ideal for frozen desserts and smaller batches of all the things)... as my hubs will most definitely not agree to buying a vitamix again (and I kind of surprised him with buying this because $300 off retail!?!?). Should I give it a go by ordering the 48 oz jug? Or, return and go for the E... (can’t remember model name) with the more affordable price tag and smaller blending jug? I suspect I’d be able to get all I need for my culinary purposes - nut m*lks, frozen desserts, sauces/smooth dressings, etc... appreciate your help in advance.

Just bought the 310 at Target for 275.00. I am very excited
You were making me very nervous waving that box cutter around so close to the baby! LOL!
I still got my A3500. I visited Costco to see a demonstration of the V1200, and she was fabulous. We thumbed through some of the recipes, and tried them. Very similar. Different look and new vs. reconditioned are the main differences.
How can i buy through you guys? And how much would it be?
lifeisnoyoke.com/vitamix-deals thank you!
Where can I buy this model and this color?

Does this one not have a tamper?? It looks like you pulled one out of the box.
it does, yeah
The Vitamix V1200 is exclusive to the Costco Roadshow Reps. (We can sell every single Vitamix model *but* this one.) So are we crazy to even talk about it? 🤷

Hi Andre, What makes you say "the E310 is even louder?"
Life is NOYOKE well herd the machine at a show it’s much louder than v1200.
Yeah
20oz for smoothies felt really small
I purchased E320 from Costco. Liked vitamix so much that I returned it and got A3500..!!
Brutal review lol just bashing it the whole time. It works perfectly fine. The app does everything you failed to mention.
i'm glad you like yours. :)
Thank you buddy i order it from your link and got $130 off in canada 😊😊🥰

okay
decibels use a logarithmic scale, not a parabolic scale.
jeff wei what I meant I think. Thanks for pointing out :)
I doubt anyone else can offer that.
we're trying to make a living
How much is it at Costco? Idk if I missed it
Lots of good Vitamix deals here bit.ly/2zADB7z
How is the A3500 quieter than the A3300?
The true metal shell on the A3500 helps dampen some of the sound
Sets of two bowls bit.ly/2JeOzPq and cups bit.ly/2LagBxm available for purchase without blending base. Great for those who already have one of the bases and want more bowls or cups.
The baby!!! So cute!
you should see him now!
this is a very bias review... you have nothing but negative things to say about V1200... i purchased one and i love it! Finally having your kid in there is very distracting, stopping to talk about the kid or to the kid every other minute was annoying asf
i didn't know what else to do with my newborn -- we couldn't afford proper childcare
Almost a 100% good review if not for the baby on the counter
totally
pretty sure costco sold same same level of vitamix you'd get anywhere else a decade ago, not this skynet version. it has program settings, you just need an app.
this thing was giving me tweeked out AI bugs within 3 uses and lmao the large blending container isn't small, the damn thing couldn't even make a daqari, it just tossed strawberry bits all over the sides, basically needed to use the small one. maybe if you want to make drinks for a party it's not big enough.
thanks. keep in mind you need to add liquid ingredients first
how much v 1200
deals here bit.ly/2zADB7z
Wow, way to stop it right at 5:00 minutes!
Thanks for a dispassionate perspective. I’ll be trying for meal replacement sized smoothies and I already own a 20oz Vitamix travel mug. So I’ll be going with an Ascent Series plus an accessory narrow jug. I really don’t need any of the “Costco package.” The package works well with the demo salesperson’s call “You say you want more for your money, I’ll tell you what else you get!”
you got it
Watching you wave that razor blade around near the baby is freaking me out.
I checked the comments just to see if someone else mentioned this. Arghhghhh
Why should I support the salesman? Someone on commission is obviously biased. A customer should look for the cheapest possible price and no way consider supporting the salesperson. The salesman is an inefficiency in the system. It is like saying let us rob you because it is the right thing to do. Makes no sense. Real estate agents, car dealers, insurance brokers, anyone working on a commission is incentivized to lie and hence cannot be trusted.
thank you
Hi bb!!!!! Look at the little cowlick🥰
you shoulda seen the cowlick on our 3rd lol
enough said, i would get the baby

Whoever places the baby on a kitchen counter and then waves a box cutter next to its face.?
a horrible parent
I found this video exasperating. Why is the baby (albeit lovely) in the video? It's a distraction to the viewer and father. And SO MUCH time wasted on uselss chatter, shaky cam, and things that should have been edited out. This video seriously lacks focus and is all over the place. Make a list of the things you need to convey in order of importance and follow that outline. Cut the rest. If you are an over-talker, edit it out.
750 pro is my choice
today's would be a good day to get yours bit.ly/2uSS7ks
information could have been presented in half the amount of time.
i hardly paid attaintion on video as can't get my eyes off from baby..had to watch it twice lol
you should see him now!
Thanks for your review.
thank you
Just found this channel and this video!
Hi Lindsay. The recon 7500 might be a better fit for you. A better machine than that one. Amazing deal right now lifeisnoyoke.com/vitamix-deals/#recon-7500-deal-usa Fft email me with more questions hello@lifeisnoyoke.com
If you’re gonna get a vitamix just get the a3500
like we say, get the best (A3500) or best deal (A3500 if no good deals)
Wow getting kind of close to your kids head with that box cutter
i know what
I came for the Vitamix, I stayed for the baby. Sooo sweet!! Just kidding, thanks for the info.
aww, thanks
Wow, that was amazing that you can repeat 3-4 things for the whole 12 min.
sensing sarcasm?
BE MORE AWARE OF YOUR CHILD
Why on earth would you be flicking a razor around like that so close to a baby? what is wrong with you?
Terrible parent
I highly doubt that. I’m sure the lens made it look much closer on camera. That was just my hovering dad 1st reaction. :). Adorable baby, BTW
This was the most frustrating review I’ve ever tried to watch.
thanks for watching
So many lies and misrepresentations. He's so good at it that it's scary.
no offence next time leave the kid out of the video... extremely frustrating waiting to hear what you have to say next after talking to him. he's cute and all but this isn't a video about him.
thanks for the feedback
Way too long... I could do wo the baby distraction
as well
How long would you like it to have been?
You could have fit all pertinent info in half as much time. A lot was redundant. Just my opinion...
The baby wasn’t too much. Very cute. Thanks for the vid!
Made the mistake of buying this thing
Turn it on and it flatlines with - - -
Locks out where it won’t turn on
Sometimes it works , more often not
POS
It’s going back tomorrow
$20 blender turns on when I freakin turn it on
V1200 is CRAP 💩
