I put my old standard shaft into the Rogue St Max D 9º. Mitsubishi KuroKage Silver 60 R. 60 grams is kind of the sweet spot for me - I'm in the low-mid 90s with driver usually. When I've tried lighter shafts the ball tends to go too high and spins. And I kind of spray it everywhere. When I've hit friends' drivers with heavier, stiffer shafts I actually do very well with them. I get a nice flat trajectory and dispersion is often tight. Which makes sense - a more stable shaft is more stable even if you're swinging slower. And the heavier weight seems to make me concentrate on tempo more carefully. But after a few drives, it does start to feel like a bit of work.
So funny enough I swing my driver at around 113mph and attack at +5 degrees. The fitter got me into a tensei white x stiff 65 but I couldn’t control the face angle. I load very smoothly at transition and after trying a bunch of shafts on my own the absolute best for me so far is a tensei blue 65 gram at stiff flex. I don’t know why but I hit it the straightest and most consistent. My spin is slight higher than I want (average in the 2400 area) but I’ll sacrifice 10 yards for accuracy. I’m using a callaway triple diamond head at 8 degrees. Goes to show test a lot of shafts and don’t always listen to what should be.
Good morning! Great video. I just bought a Callaway Rogue driver with a stiff shaft. I'm disappointed in my distance. Accuracy is spot on, just no distance. Should I get get fitted? I'm 63 and 5 HC. Any suggestions would help. Thanks
I was fitted for the new rouge senior shaft, without 1 month, my driver head became loose where the shaft connects, I contacted Callaway they mailed me a new one, and within a week same issues happen , interesting 🤔
Not this club Don to be completely honest. If you are swinging under 80 there is no point in spending $550 driver. I’d like at a Tour Exotic driver for example that is easier to get in the air.
Callaway need to up their game. The Rogue ST is still not being delivered here in the UK and the Stealth has been out for 2 months. Also the custom options have only just gone live, and so it was basically Tensei Blue or White for 2 months of the pre order!
I was looking into getting a Rogue LS driver with the nice discounts. I had one that came to the end of its life early. Callaway replaced it with a Paradym, but I don’t like it. On the Callaway website, all 9* Rogue Max LS drivers can only be ordered with a white Tensei 65g or 75g shaft. My question is, can I just put in the blue Tensei 55g shaft (I have) in this head if it comes with a 65g or 75g shaft? Will that mess up the swing weight? Will I have to have the rear weight adjusted? Thanks.
@@paulyd9634 funny comment , I got it in 55g and just a couple weeks ago I upgraded to the same shaft but in 65. Supposedly heavier weight helps with dispersion or consistency
Love manufactures are giving more shalt options. People get FIT. This ST is the best “on the course” head I have ever played with. Wish Callaway would expand their stock shaft options a bit. BTW where was the Fujikura shafts? It’s a stock shaft and the right option for many.
It's amazing how important the golf shaft is and it's even more amazing how most golfers don't know that, this guy gained 80 YARDS just by changing his golf shaft. These golf companies throw out a new driver every 8 months and none of them have gained 80 yards over the last 20 years.
Not many fairways will be hit with regular flex at 200 mph ball speed, all they need is one in the grid. You need some control on day to day golf course rounds - Thomas
Great video! It has been exactly 20 months since I first started playing Golf. Check out my first episode of breaking 40 video on my channel! I need help with my amateur swing!
Awesome display of how different shafts are categorized for different club head speeds
Thank you for watching!
These guys know what they're talking about! I'm 100mph driver swing speed and the old Tensei AV Blue 55gr Stiff is money for me ;)
Of course we do!!
I just had a rogue max d fitting and swing driver around 98mph and quickly found the hzrdus rdx and mmt 60 shafts gave me by far the best results
Nice!!
What did you get with a hzrdus shaft? Stiff flex or Reg flex? I have the same swing speed!
Same shaft it works for me ,great shaft

I demoed the LS head with the Tensei White and loved it. Gotta try the new Cobra and Mizuno before making my final decision for the year though!
Absolutely!
My Rogue ST came in today. Can’t wait to pick it up. Fitting is a must👍
Enjoy the new driver - Thomas

Great vid. Are there any significant differences in the new Tensei AV X-Link shafts and the Tensei AV Raw that have been around?

I just got the Project X Cypher Forty 5.5. I swing normal - maybe a little fast. Do you think this is a good fit?
Can you compare the Tensei blue X link 55g R to the Tensei Orange av raw 55g R
Callaway offers the non-velocore Ventus Blue for Rogue ST Max without upcharge- how does this compare to the Tensei White & Blue shafts in this video?
Non velocore is going to be similar to Tensei Blue with maybe a little more stiffness. - Thomas

Would you have the same numbers if you hit the 65 gram Tensei blue on the Max driver?
What do you guys think about the TPT shafts? I currently swing around 95mph and was thinking of getting a 17 low one.
Timing for this is perfect.
Thank you for watching!
@@2ndswing Thanks for the info!
Great info. Thank you.

Nice job guys. But what about senior golfers whose swing speed is under 80 miles per hour. What shaft would you be recommending.

You guys are best. Love all your videos.
Thanks so much!
Which shaft would you recommend for a single handicapper with a 93mph swing speed?
Would you recommend a cypher 50g with the with the standard max driver st instead of the max d?
Cypher 50 is good with both heads. Depends on your club speed. It's a good light shaft to help pick up some speed - Thomas
Thank you Thomas!
@@2ndswing can you tell me what the real weight of the Cypher 50 is? it says 50 but what is the actual weight? Thanks...
wonder why the 65g white smash is much lower than all others? Is that due to the shaft or other factors?
Unlikely the shaft it could be many other factors but results are always player dependent - Thomas

My swing speed is 100MPH, but I hit the ball very high with spin. Do you recommend the white in S flex?
Yes. But I would assess how much loft is on your driver - Thomas

THANK YOUUUUU🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾!!!!
You bet!
Are these tensei shafts the same as the aftermarket 2022 tensei av raw series? Or are these OEM shafts for callawa?
these are the real tensei shafts that are stock. so its a really great shaft for being offered as a stock option
I ordered my rogue in x stiff and I had no business hitting that. Returned it for a blue tensei and instantly hit my pb of 290
Appreciate the feedback. Glad you were able to make the necessary changes - Thomas
55 or 65 g?

lol it was two different people swinging the club that's why we didn't see video of him actually hitting the ball
AND they are using 3 different heads...
He didn’t swing them at the same speed
wow, you went from 89.8 mph swing speed to 109.3 mph by just switching shafts???
Can’t believe the Rouge shaft is not stock 🙄
Missed opportunity....
wheres the fujikara
As Bryson uses a regular flex for whacking balls at 200+ mph long drive, then I really wouldn't be overly fussed buying into the hype.
