  • In 2001, before Morrowind ever released, Tamriel Rebuilt was formed on the Elder Scrolls forums with the goal of one day bringing the Morrowind mainland, and at the time the rest of Tamriel, to The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind once it released. Over 16 years later and the team at Tamriel Rebuilt, while largely changed, is still working hard and striving everyday towards that goal of making a unified Morrowind. Since those first few scattered posts in 2001, over 600 modders have passed through the doors of Tamriel Rebuilt, contributing thousands of new assets, literature, art, music, dungeons, towns and cities, and so much more to the project. By far the largest mod for Morrowind, today you can explore a vast swath of the mainland thanks to the tireless efforts of these amazing modders, from the highest peaks of the Velothian Mountains, to the lowest swamps of the Grey Meadows, the barren flats of the Armun Ashlands, the maze of canyons of the Roth Roryn, and the fertile farmlands of the Thirr River valley. With dozens of cities to visit, from the massive citadels of Old Ebonheart and Baan Malur to the magical capital of Port Telvannis and the religious cities of Necrom and Almalexia, not to mention countless dungeons, quests, and hidden-away treasures, you'll find hundreds of hours worth of content on the Morrowind mainland with what Tamriel Rebuilt's release so far. There's just so much to see and do in Tamriel Rebuilt, and after 16 years, while the project is far from finished, it remains as the largest mod for Morrowind, and one of the oldest continuously worked on modding projects in gaming history.
    If you want to help out with this massive project though and contribute to one of the biggest and oldest modding projects in the community, why not head over to www.tamriel-reb... and join the team today?

      I'm not part of the project, but last I heard it should be somewhere around August/September, they're planning on adding Old Ebonheart to the TR_Mainland file next (where the finished content is), but it really just depends on if they get it done in time (Ebon Tower still has a dozen or so interiors left to finish, and it needs to be NPC'ed, and they only have 1 or 2 quests in the city done, they're wanting to add more).

      I'm not on the TR team, but I'd honestly be surprised if they're finished before 2020, given that it's a pretty large area and still in semi-early exterior development.

      Morrowind Modding Showcases 2020? Do you think the mod will be completely finished by 2025?

    • @MorrowindModdingShowcases
      @MorrowindModdingShowcases  7 лет назад +1

      2025 seems a bit optimistic to me, I know the original estimates from the TR team back in 2014 put an exterior-finished release of all of Morrowind at 2022, but quests are going to take a while I imagine. I'd say 2028 at this point, but if more people join up and help out, we might get it a lot sooner than that.

    How can it be 16 years if Morrowind released in 2002?

    • @MorrowindModdingShowcases
      @MorrowindModdingShowcases  7 лет назад +3

      Tamriel Rebuilt predates Morrowind by about a year, see the TR Project History page: tamriel-rebuilt.org/about/project-history

    would be great if you figured out a way to add grass. really big issue tht make it look super dated. has anyone figured out a way to get grass working.

    • @MorrowindModdingShowcases
      @MorrowindModdingShowcases  7 лет назад +3

      Well, there's already a grass mod that covers a fair portion of eastern Morrowind, more will probably be released at some point to cover the rest of the province.

      thanks that does im an idiot i though this was a video for morowind rebirth I scewed up sorry but if you know any that work with that id love it .thanks for the responses!!

    • @MorrowindModdingShowcases
      @MorrowindModdingShowcases  7 лет назад +1

      Oh, Rebirth, right that's a bit more difficult. There's no up-to-date grass mod for Rebirth that works, since Rebirth updates at least once every 6 months, any attempt to make grass mods work with it usually ends up becoming incompatible pretty quickly. This is a bit more complicated, but you can try using the Groundcover Generator to generate grass for Rebirth on the fly (see the comments section for advice on how to do this for Rebirth): www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43907/

    Great great great. My Morrowind kept crashing are there any mods that add different spawn locations for you to start off at a?

    • @anonymousteve5787
      @anonymousteve5787 7 лет назад

      Yes chargen revamped allows different starting location, but I have not tried it out yet.

    • @MorrowindModdingShowcases
      @MorrowindModdingShowcases  7 лет назад +2

      Aye, Chargen Revamped, as mentioned by Anonymousteve, is by far the best starting location mod available on the market right now. But if you're experiencing a lot of crashes, that might be indicative of something else wrong, might want to check your Warnings.txt file in the Morrowind install directory and see what's causing the issue. Anyway, here's the link to Chargen Revamped: www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44615

    what's the latest version of this mod ?

    • @MorrowindModdingShowcases
      @MorrowindModdingShowcases  7 лет назад

      Newest version is 16.12, released last December, though a patch was released a little over a week ago as well. Next version is supposed to be out sometime around September, which might include a few new quests.

      @MorrowindModdingShowcases  7 лет назад +1

      It's on the Nexus, just go to the Tamriel Rebuilt download, and check under "Optional Files". The patch is listed there, right above the Tamriel Rebuilt Soundtrack: www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/42145/?
