Thanks so much for the beautiful overview! Just to add to what you've said: - Grasping Fortune will be indeed the centerpoint of Hlaalu, but there is still a big chunk of unreleased Hlaalu territory to the west of it. It is currently divided in two planned releases - Andrethis and Wealth Beyond Measure (Kragenmoor). After that, the Redoran releases may start rolling out. - With Narsis, TR also will release the first portion of mainland House Redoran content. As you mentioned, it will revolve around the twin settlements of Ald Marak/Iuval. In fact, one of the two Redoran questlines has almost been finished! But, it should be mentioned that you won't be able to drastically change the status quo (drive out the Redorans or Hlaalu from their towns). That's something for House endgames when whole province districts will be available. - You mention the Camonna Tong as assassins, but you probably meant the Morag Tong. Indeed, there will be more quests for MT. But the Camonna Tong remains hostile to the player character. It'll be an antagonist of the Thieves Guild, and the newly made Ja-Natta syndicate. - You touched on Telvanni content - Ronik, our inspired quest developer, has made several new House Telvanni questlines to populate their peninsula. These will probably be released with Narsis. In distant future, TR wants to do justice to the Telvanni district with new assets and distinct region overhauls. But for now, these questlines will provide the players of this house with full career paths on the mainland. - As Aveno mentions below (or above?), there will be intermittent old lands overhaul releases between the main direction ones. The first of them will be Sundered Scar, which will remake the lands between Old Ebonheart, Almalexia and Kemel-Ze (including the latter); these areas are 20 years old and very little effort (relatively) was put into them back then; exteriors are almost done for their overhaul; and there is considerable interior progress as well; additionally, new Indoril lands and settlements will be introduced in the currently absent areas between Aanthirin, Lake Andaram and Almalexia; this will be the entry point for the House Indoril faction content. Again, thank you so much for the graet video.

Any Tamriel Rebuilt content is awesome. Best mod ever. If we're getting more Hlaalu content, then hopefully next update after that well start getting Redoran areas. Either way I'm grateful for it.
The next update, after Grasping Fortune, will be a rework of the Sundered Scar region, changing it from a bitter coast clone to a volcanic sulforous wasteland. Yesterday I finished Temple's questline on Almas Thirr. It absolutely blew my head off! I have never experienced such outstanding adventure in an Elder scrolls game before! And I can't believe it is just a fan made project. We are living in interesting times, when those who do not seek profit but truly love the series are far better creators than Bethesda itself. Tamriel Rebuilt is our saviour.
I totally agree, for me the temple's questline of Almas Thirr has been the best quest line to date, and in addition to being narratively compelling, it is also perfectly positioned in the game world, in a bridge city between the territories of two rival houses. For me it also came totally unexpected: after having completed the questlines of the temple in the cities of vvanderfell, I chose Almas Thirr as the first temple's questline of TR to complete, without having particular expectations, and suddenly I found myself immersed in a mind blowing international intrigue!
Sand kwoom, alongside already-existing velk in Indoriil lands, is one of two "canon" creatures that were mentioned in Skeleton Man Interview, but never made the cut to final game. Besides names, these creatures have nothing about them in official material, but, hey, idea that Numidium was studied by Zurin Arctus in the Halls of Colossus in Elsweyr also comes from there.
I just wanted to say, Grasping Fortune will actually touch the border of Argonia, not just get close to it. As always great video brother nice to just relax and hear about all the updates. You're one of my favorite RUclipsrs regarding TR or Morrowind content in general keep up the good work and im looking forward to the playthrough and maybe when i have time to sit down I'll know what im doing.
Hey very nice video! thanks for introducing the next new content = ) I already feel excited to play through the next version. ^^ Just one small correction: At 5:58 you talk about headquarters of Camonna Tong in Narsis, and them being close to the house Hlaalu and then that they always are a "cooler" Assasins Guild. I think you are mixing them up with the Morag Tong, which are the sanctioned assasins of morrowind. The Camonna Tong, are closer to a dunmer alternative thiefs guild, but with more extrem views, basically hating everyone not from morrowind. The current head of the Camonna Tong is Orvas Dren, brother of Vedam Dren the current Greatmaster of House Hlaalu. As such these two organizations are closely related and thightly connected (even in the base game), however while you can take control (with violence) of the Camonna Tong, while playing through house Hlaalu, the Camonna Tong are mostly antagonists and not a joinable faction. As such i think them being there fits the setting of Narsis being a Hlaalu city. If however you wanted to talk about the morag tong, then yes it would be suprising. = )
Some other milestones that you can choose: Can't wait for a full release of Narsis District (incl. Kragenmoor which will be in the release after the next one). Only 3 more years to go. Can't wait for a full release of Morrowind province (the scope of TR). Only 20 more years to go. Can't wait for a full release of Tamriel (the scope of TR + Project Tamriel). Only 60 years more to go. Can't wait for a full release of Nirn, including Padomaic Isles, Yokuda, Atmora, Akavir, Pyandonea, etc (the Padomaic Isles project is already ongoing). Only 80 more years to go. Can't wait for a full release of all Planes of Existence, including the Gallimaufry -- the Masser moon colonies of the Khajiit and Remanite and Septimite Imperials -- and all the Daedric planes (both projects currently in conceptualization and asset development stage). Only 160 years to go. ... Or, you could just play what's released now and not worry about stuff that may or may not get finished later...
If I recall correctly, the TR team are also working on overhaulling the Sundered Scar region to make it a sulfuric wasteland called Poison Song. Recently, they've also included reworking a part of the region around Almalexia. They also plan on reworking more indoril content after Poison Song's release, starting with the Mephalan Vales region.
Also worth mentioning that Indoril architecture is getting overhaul too. Current vanilla set will be used in Almalexia, but Indoril chapels are planned to use their own architecture style. That's why I'd recommend to backup your modpack to whoever loves current vanilla set spread everywhere, since starting from Poison Song (update most probably after Narsis), this will be slowly changing.
I remember the first internal WIP shots I got from TR user PROMETHEUS working on Narsis, many, many years ago. It seems they did keep some of that original look! Very surprised we get Narsis before Almalexia though!
Thanks for the video, as always, a pleasure, the landscapes are incredible, how incredible they look in the different areas of the future expansions, I really want to see the areas of Shipal-shin, Narsis and the others that will come, it seems amazing to me as in Each area, for example Shipal-shin, is like entering another different world that tells its own story just by seeing the amazing scenarios that surround it and its clans, you can see that there is a lot of passion and creativity in the project, this is an incredible job. making the tamriel rebuilt team thank you for making these worlds so interesting with your stories that I think are totally worth experiencing and enjoying them and to you borean knigth thank you very much for the good energy you put into your videos and the love with which you compose them and the way of narrating these worlds, thank you very much, I hope your health is better, lots of strength and encouragement💪
Just subscribed to the channel. Reason? Because this might be the first channel in over 10 years, which actually covers TR with a good amount of fascination without just sounding like an advertisment. I personally shy away often so far from installing TR, because I first played Morrowind in my first language and that sounds different (not unique) from English. I saw a lot of english Morrowind content on yt and I still have a hard time just overhear the difference. Last time I played TR is over 5 years ago, when there just was the east with the Telvanni. I installed an actual translation with a lot of teethgrinding... and as it worked finally, I had to find out, that it bluescreens the game at certain points, because the translation initself was basically a oneman project. But I might really have to go back to TR even in English, because the content just keeps coming since couple years. The big C might have turned out to be a blessing for the otherwise rather slow progress of the whole project, because people work on it in their own free time. I play Morrowind since about 17 years now. I am not exactly one of the old guard, but I am absolutely a TES-Boomer. I enjoyed Oblivion and Skyrim, but for everything good they did, they just were not exactly TES anymore. I was very VERY skeptical when I first heard about TR 10+ years ago, because other mods I played until then completely overdid it for Morrowind. 99% of mods back in the day felt completely out of place in Morrowind, starting with way too bright textures and ending on implementations which might have been lore frindly, but were absolutely out of place, because they only affected the player character and no one else in the world. I might give TR another shot I guess, because seeing so much "new" content especially within the last couple years, really makes me think the creators do their very best to stay true to 2002 Morrowind.
House Indoril is (tentatively) planned to become joinable in the next expansion after Grasping Fortune, called Poison Song. Dres lands are still a little ways off. We are currently working on a new region plan for them.
That would be against the original design of the faction - they're inexorably hating of outlanders, of which the player character is. But you can cooperate with CT in the adjacent quests. Like the Hlan Oek Temple questline of the October 2023 Andaram release. I'm sure, there will be opportunities in Narsis release too.
I am curious about what it'd be like to play Morrowind for the first time with a completed Tamriel Rebuilt installed. Such an expansive experience that ideally, wouldn't feel separated by prior familiarity. And lucky for me, I've never played Morrowind. Maybe one day I'll know what it'll be like to do that. Or maybe, I'll give in and finally play it before TR is finished. The second is most likely, but hey if I make it to 2039 or something, boy I'd probably have a great time with this game.
No reason to wait. I've never played MMO games but I see Tamriel Rebuilt maps as chapters. Each map is a self contained game on its own. You don't really feel like playing an unfinished game. And if you never played Morrowind before, you're in for some great time.
Sorry for asking this, but what mod list are you using? This is PRECISELY how I have been wanting my Morrowind to look. So smooth and the Depth of Field is perfect! Awesome video by the way!
All the purview of other mods. TR aims to be a seamless extension of the vanilla game, so it won't do those things itself. But others are welcome to mod those aspects in. I think there is a very good recent moveable silt strider mod for MWSE-Lua which I think also includes TR lands.
Being able to heist the Narsis temple and get away with the _actual_ Muatra would be incredible. Bring it to Vivec for special dialogue or something lmao
Probably not, I prefer to watch it at home in more intimate setting. Last movie I watched in theatre was Captain America, so quite a long time ago lol.
@@boreanknight I know how you feel about the intimate factor, I'm the same, but man, you're doing yourself a big big disservice if you watch Dune at home. I did it with the first part when it came out, and recently was able to rewatch it in an IMAX and let me tell you: it was like night and day. The sound man, the sound and the big screen, it was truly an experience like I haven't felt in a long time. It was like being a kid again, watching your first movie in a cinema. Dune *is made* for the big screen without question, there's a lot of movies you can pass up imo, not this one.
I wonder, is there a mod that lets you side with house dagoth yet? all of this political intrigue is pretty exciting, I really hope there's even more to changing the world of morrowind!
And that now that I just today started a new game with TR! Will I be able to just update and continue my current character or should I start a new one when it's time?
It'll work with an old character, but it might be worth it to put all your equipment into a chest and "start fresh", for balance reasons. Also, when installing the mod, make sure you're inside of an interior space. The engine sometimes can't cope with changes to the worldspace you're occupying and may change your position unpredictably.
Maybe it's time for me to actually install this and play. Last time I did it was years ago and after they had just started and most of the landmasses were empty.
If you saw empty landmasses, then you were probably unwittingly playing our old optional TR_Preview plugin, which bundled areas that were work in progress and didn't have interiors, NPCs, or quests included. We've stopped bundling that plugin with the mod since so many people weren't aware they were playing unfinished content and came away with the wrong impression. Now, all the added areas you see when you install TR are fully finished with quests, interiors, NPCs, etc.
@@512TheWolf512 It should be referenced in Tribunal game somewhere, been a while since I went there. I found this quote from UESP's Mournhold lore page: "Mournhold is located in the heart of the Deshaan region of Morrowind's southern mainland, and is the district seat of House Indoril. It was a temple-city of the Tribunal Temple, and during the Third Era the greater city area was named Almalexia after its patron deity, one of the living gods of the Tribunal, with only the central temple compound retaining the name Mournhold."
You're confusing Cammona Tong with Morag Tong. Cammona Tong aren't the assassin guild. They are the Morrowind's xenophobic mafia, and are an unplayable faction.
It takes some time to get used to it, it's a very different game from Skyrim but if you don't mind older mechanics and text dialogues, it has best lore and worldbuilding. There are also many mods to modernize it a bit.
Yes, absolutely. like @boreanknight said, it does take a little bit of time to get used to it, but I think it is the most interactive and hands on elder scrolls game ever released (so far) I've been playing for a few days, and I installed this mod because I'm 7 hours in and I want it to last for the next 700+. I'm in love with Morrowind. I'm 20 and I grew up with Skyrim, but I enjoy Morrowind debatably more than Skyrim because of how rich it is and how much flavor there is to the whole thing. Rant over.
@@JFKtheV I’ve been playing oblivion cuz I’ve had the goty edition, but I’m only lvl 2 and it’s super confusing 🫠 like it feels like my attacks aren’t hitting most the time, and there’s so many systems I just don’t know anything about. I was gonna watch a guide on them tonight
@@Miracle7Seven Oblivion is cool too! If you find the game too challenging, you can lower the difficulty slider in the options menu if you haven’t already done that. You can really play using many different builds and skills that still kick ass in Oblivion, as long as they are either a major or minor skill when you create your own class. Its the same but a bit more complicated and rigid in Morrowind. I won’t try to over explain it because I’m still learning more about it. Your character’s race and birth sign influences your starting attribute numbers 0-100. Each attribute is assigned to a skill and essentially determines how good you are and how strong you can get at specific skills. There are also birth signs that you can choose one of to give special advantage/disadvantage or a combination of the two to help you along in a play through. Here’s a little example: A Breton mage high in Willpower will be better at Restoration magic than a Orc berserker. The Orc is probably better at the Blunt Weapons skill and has higher strength and endurance. The Agility attribute in morrowind determines how able you are to block and dodge in combat. The Lover birth sign boosts agility. That’s the secret sauce to make builds, mix things that all work in tandem with each other. Its a cycle pretty much. I hope this helps you lol and wasn’t confusing! Feel free to ask any questions and I’m sure many others and I are willing to have a discussion about it. I love learning about TES.
Camonna Tong is a better guild of assassin's then Dark brotherhood? Factually incorrect as only one of the two is a guild of assassin's and it's not the Camonna Tong... Which is more of a thieves guild/mafia.
Feels bad I can't really visit Old Ebonheart because uh-oh 15fps Even with a 1070ti @ 1080p it still absolutely flogs my system, and this is using OpenMW instead of 50 million spaghetti coded patches heaped atop of base game.
Have you tried Old Ebonheart in the new versions since last October? There was an optimization pass, it should run somewhat better now. I get around 35-40 fps on OpenMW with my integrated graphics laptop. Of course, that also means I'm not on maxxed settings.
Yes. People often say that the first playthrough should be vanilla, but that's bogus. TR is easily equal to, if not much better (in some places), than vanilla Morrowind. It also makes very few changes to Vvardenfell, meaning you can play the vanilla content first, and then go on to the mainland content.

I totally mixed up those two factions, oops :)
Can't wait for a full release of this mod. Only 11 years more to go.
Some other milestones that you can choose:
Can't wait for a full release of Narsis District (incl.
Thanks so much for this overview. Excited for the Anvil one whenever you get to it!
I can't wait for Anvil. I have zero knowedge about it so it's gonna be a blast.
Ebon-light enjoyers eating good soon
NARSIS 😭😭😭 Finally, some more Hlaalu bullshit. I just wish soon, real soon, we could get areas in Almalexia too. Indoril architecture is just 😙👌
If I recall correctly, the TR team are also working on overhaulling the Sundered Scar region to make it a sulfuric wasteland called Poison Song.
I believe that Almalexia comes last, so we gonna wait a long time :(
@@boreanknight It may not! You can read about it a bit in newly posted TR article
This looks so frikkin amazing
I also would like to see it released before October!
Thanks so much!
Imagine jumping from morrowind to summerset with 1 million acrobatic
I can't wait until tr rebuilt starts expanding into Dres Territory. I'm excited to see that whole new culture.
Makes me wonder if they'll do anything with the Twin Lamps
@@JRexRegis Grasping Fortune will have something for Twin Lamps lovers indeed 👀
Its your Time BK , make a narrative let's play and we will eat it up
I'm so hyped for this I'm going to explode! How much longer?!
Hope we can join House Indoril and Dres!
House Indoril is (tentatively) planned to become joinable in the next expansion after Grasping Fortune, called Poison Song. Dres lands are still a little ways off. We are currently working on a new region plan for them.
Would also be nice to be able to join Camonna Tong, as it is so connected to Hlaalu.
@@Denis-lp3pz That design choice always seemed strange considering that Dren Plantation was filled with orcs and nords.
you can join a new criminal faction in the release though, and these guys are nastier than the thieves guild
13:40 so Jabba The Hutt
Nice showcase
Great mod and very well made. Always felt like it needed some central main quest to give it a bit of structure.
TR Team are the pro's of all modders, 20 years in the making
think you got cammona tong and morag tong mixed up there bud
I look forward to Tamriel Rebuilt updates than I do Bethesda games at this point.
Btw, Borean, is there a map of the current project?
This is the map of "Grasping Fortune", from Tamriel Rebuilt's website: www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/sites/default/files/forumfiles/pr_2024-02_01_map.png
Needs new/more animations and armors! With that the game will have a huge breath of life.
TR adds a crapton of new armors. Visual improvements like animations are the remit of other types of mods, though.
This is awesome
Sorry for asking this, but what mod list are you using? This is PRECISELY how I have been wanting my Morrowind to look. So smooth and the Depth of Field is perfect! Awesome video by the way!
Thanks! I covered all mods in this video - ruclips.net/video/gw7ev2HN0nE/видео.html
@@boreanknight Thank you so much!
OH CAN I GET A HELL YEAH
Movable silt stfriders,canoes? Road travelers?
All the purview of other mods. TR aims to be a seamless extension of the vanilla game, so it won't do those things itself. But others are welcome to mod those aspects in. I think there is a very good recent moveable silt strider mod for MWSE-Lua which I think also includes TR lands.
Will you be making any more skyrim home of the Nords videos?
Yep
I want Vivec's spear...
Forgive me, I could not resist.
Being able to heist the Narsis temple and get away with the _actual_ Muatra would be incredible. Bring it to Vivec for special dialogue or something lmao
@@JRexRegis.....I meant his other Muatra.
This Narsis Sewers you showed are INSANE!
Also, on a side note Alek, since you mentioned it, are you gonna go watch Dune II in theatre?
🤯
I wonder, is there a mod that lets you side with house dagoth yet? all of this political intrigue is pretty exciting, I really hope there's even more to changing the world of morrowind!
It makes me so sad Ur wanted us to join him yet the devs only let us defeat him instead 😭I would've got down on my knees for daddy dagoth ur
Good, let us see all of mainland Morrowind. And some of Black Marsh aswell.
Im starting to get the morrowind itch again
TR is so great that I leave Vvardenfell immediately for the mainland. I have hardly any interest in the base game anymore.
And that now that I just today started a new game with TR! Will I be able to just update and continue my current character or should I start a new one when it's time?
It most likely won't be released this year, so no need to wait for it! Once it's out it's best to start a new game.
Very nice!
WHAT ABOUT THE GREATEST OF HOUSES, THE SIXTH HOUSE, THE HOUSE OF DAGOTH?
Maybe it's time for me to actually install this and play. Last time I did it was years ago and after they had just started and most of the landmasses were empty.
If you saw empty landmasses, then you were probably unwittingly playing our old optional TR_Preview plugin, which bundled areas that were work in progress and didn't have interiors, NPCs, or quests included. We've stopped bundling that plugin with the mod since so many people weren't aware they were playing unfinished content and came away with the wrong impression. Now, all the added areas you see when you install TR are fully finished with quests, interiors, NPCs, etc.
Wait, but Mournhold is the capital of Morrowind, what did i miss?
You're right! Mournhold is the inner temple-city (what we see in Tribunal dlc) and Almalexia is the greater city area expanding around Mournhold.
@@boreanknight where did that lore come from? i would like to read more
@@512TheWolf512 It should be referenced in Tribunal game somewhere, been a while since I went there. I found this quote from UESP's Mournhold lore page:
"Mournhold is located in the heart of the Deshaan region of Morrowind's southern mainland, and is the district seat of House Indoril. It was a temple-city of the Tribunal Temple, and during the Third Era the greater city area was named Almalexia after its patron deity, one of the living gods of the Tribunal, with only the central temple compound retaining the name Mournhold."
Camona tong what? Better? Grrrrrr.
except "of ash and blight" are there any vvardenfell "update" mods you recommend?
Beautiful Cities of Morrowind by RandomPal is pretty good and worth a try.

When do you think Anvil for Province Cyrodil will be released? I’m hoping next month, or in the next few.
Very unlikely that it's this soon. The team was aiming for June, but it is likely that will slip somewhat.
What is the name of that heat she’s wearing at 0:45?
You're confusing Cammona Tong with Morag Tong. Cammona Tong aren't the assassin guild. They are the Morrowind's xenophobic mafia, and are an unplayable faction.
Whatever happened to Mournhold's status as capital of Morrowind?
Nothing, it still is. Narsis is capital of Hlaalu House, Almalexia/Mournhold is Indoril's.
Is TR controler compatable? Asking for my rog ally.
TR only adds content to the game, it does not affect controller compatibility. I think you can use the controller with the OpenMW engine replacer.
can I play it starting from lvl 1 from the main game? I would like to add this mod to the overhaul graphic mod for Morrowind
Yes! Tamriel Rebuilt tries to seamlessly integrate the difficulty of vanilla, hence making it fairly friendly for low/middle-level characters :)
In the best timeline Bethesda will just bankrupt themselves and be bought up by modders lol
Should I play morrowind? The game seems rather hard ngl.. I haven’t played oblivion either
Feels bad I can't really visit Old Ebonheart because uh-oh 15fps
Even with a 1070ti @ 1080p it still absolutely flogs my system, and this is using OpenMW instead of 50 million spaghetti coded patches heaped atop of base game.
Have you tried Old Ebonheart in the new versions since last October? There was an optimization pass, it should run somewhat better now. I get around 35-40 fps on OpenMW with my integrated graphics laptop. Of course, that also means I'm not on maxxed settings.
Should I install Tamriel Rebuilt for my first playthrough of Morrowind?
No. I wont recommend it. At least play morrowind without any major addon for first time.
Yes. People often say that the first playthrough should be vanilla, but that's bogus. TR is easily equal to, if not much better (in some places), than vanilla Morrowind. It also makes very few changes to Vvardenfell, meaning you can play the vanilla content first, and then go on to the mainland content.
As ever, it remains vaporware until it actually comes out.
vaporware? tamriel rebuilt had a release in october lol
@@barnsleyman32 And with good winds, we can even see two PT/TR releases this year. Anvil release this summer and Narsis release this winter, I really hope
