Marko - Lord of Huskies So why did Pinwheel have one? Or Seathe? Or the Old Monk we ended up with? Or the Storm King? Or Tower Knight? Or Micolash? Or...actually, DS3 really didn't give cutscenes to the lesser appreciated bosses. I guess they learned by that time.
i mean tower knight is pretty easy, but to a new player, especially one new to fromsoft, hes not all that terrible, he actually managed to kill me once during my first playthrough of demon's souls
The weird thing, and also the almost sad thing, is that the cutscenes in DS2 were way more detailed and cinematic than the ones in DS1 and DS3 (in my opinion, granted the opening prologue cinematic for DS1 is pretty fuckin sweet). Seeing all of these things cut from the game that could have been recognized for more makes me really upset in a way.
@@jinrex015 i always felt like that since your character is afflicted with the curse your darksign pulsates whenever your character is in the presence of powerful souls

Germandragon Fromsoft has not done the DS1 remaster, it was another team who has done it. They're just making easy money on it while working on other projects. It was pretty clear with the analogy of the Ariandel DLC. "When the world rots, we set it afire. For the sake of the next world. It's the one thing we do right, unlike those fools on the outside." I'll guess it was a statement on how Fromsoft philosophy works, just sayin.
You do realize that by remastering a game they only improve the graphics but the gameplay mechanics and the engine stay the same. What you want is a remake.
That Storm King cutscene was bad ass and also gives you your only good look at the entire geography of the island. I suspect the Old Monk alternate cutscene he is summoning a black phantom to possess it himself. It is a more triumphant end for the character. I like the direction they went in the main game, with the Golden Garb betraying the former Husband of the Queen, leaving him for dead after sucking him dry. It then powered up the summoned black phantom in the hopes of defeating the demon slayer in order to glom onto the new host body. The true demon is the flowing robe in the main game.
I'm guessing the reason why the room for Lothric & Lorian didn't load is, perhaps, that the room would be on fire in the second phase as an ironic twist for the twins; that the fire still reaches them.
DS2 was my fav. DS game, I'm just sad that it was a rushed game, the bosses are cool, the environments are lore worthy, intimidating enemies, weird-ass hitboxes, nonetheless, I still really live this game. I hole they make Dark Souls 2: Director's cut where they actually put their all in the game
This video is awesome. The work put into this is insane after what I understood and after this much time to still see new things to those favorite games of mine is just something special.
Wait, does the emulation of Demon's Souls run like that? Like, I would understand because trying to emulate a PS3 exclusive probably isn't a cake walk... but holy shit that is terrible.
It seems like the cemetery of ash was going to be the hub area for dark souls 3 and you would have likely went along the cliff path into lothric. Personally I actually think this is much better than dark souls 3 firelink shrine because to me it's like a Gray, dead version of Dark souls's 1 firelink shrine which was very green and vibrant.
They don't really need them. They are cool enough. Raime raising from the ashes, Alonne getting up and him slightly bowing and the Ivory King getting out of the portal
Just spitballing here, but maybe the pilgrim cutscene was supposed to be your player character. It could be perhaps, you were meant to start out as one of many pilgriming hollows that came to Lothric to, similar as to in Dark Souls II where you first appear completely robed and obscured on your way to Drangleic, then make your character proper and lose the obscuring hood and cloak.
i think the giant lord didnt get a cut scene because they ran out of time, i mean as you said you fight him in a completely different area, so they probably didnt have the time to make a new cut scene for him
Also to those who can't see Pavs video it has been blocked in several countries. Luckily he mentioned what countries, which are the following: Australia, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea and USA. Hopefully the second link works for you.
Bodmanford only if they polished the game, added bonfires, more interesting bosses and new levels.. Otherwise just keep DeS buried in the past as it deserves
Hmm, the unused Old Monk cutscene has some interesting implications, specifically if we were to fight the robe as opposed to the monk. Personally, I think it could have been an interesting battle. Like, really play up the fact that we are fighting a demon of shifting, living cloth.
Dang, Lothric, why the LONG FACE, you're going to bring him back in a moment anyway. ^ ^ EDIT: I have no idea why I expected this joke to be original...
I'm glad they cut that storm king cutscene. I think that would've disrupted the immersion when you first see how big the storm king is. Its a good fight because you have to strategize and figure out it's pattern
5:18 That's some straight up Looney Tunes logic. It'd be even funnier if the character looked down, saw that their not standing on ground and then fall.
In Ds3 cutscene with the pilgrim, from the late epitath cut content, it was pretty obvious that a certain ''pilgrim'' had a more central role in the alpha story. It's amazing how Fromsoft integrated certain cut or discarded content into the final vanilla game. I mean, in Ds1 there was the painting of Ariamis, where they put all the discarded ennemies and NPC's cut from the original story, then in ds3 they put yoel who was meant to be a more central npc i'll guess, to die at the beginning, and be replaced by Yuria, amazing.
I have a feeling they took the idea for how the Storm King would die and applied that to the Dragon God instead, it comes crashing in to land and you have to finish it face to face.
TBT, I kind of like that the Giant Lord had no cutscene. I like that he's just sitting there in the middle of the battle When the main character just suddenly appears and defeats him. It ties into the mystery of the last Giant better that way if you ask me.
Is it just me, or is all the best fucking content from Demon souls to bloodborne the best content ? Like, when From thinks they need to delete something, they need someone to slap the dev team and say no.
I wonder if the Pilgrim cutscene, given its very wonky state, was something they mocked up when the Londor ending/quest was going to be more prominent, but then dropped when they decided on more possible endings?
It's cool seeing the whole Shrine of Storms as this little cult island in the middle of nowhere. Paints a great picture of the isolated tribe of storm worshippers. Sparkly sure settled down in the sticks.
This video would've been a lot more concise if you just put all the promoting and shilling at the end. Just saying. When I have to skip the first section of a video due to needless promotions, I generally don't come back. Aside from that, neat stuff. The Old Monk cutscene looks awesome.
I know this is irrelevant, but... Rumor has it that Demon's Souls actually had a cut.... Either permadeath mode or built-in permadeath mechanic where your character followed the rule that NPCs followed. Apparently, if you died in body form, you'd resurrect in soul form as normal. But here's the difference, supposedly, it was supposed to be that when you got your bloodstain in soul form, you'd resurrect on the spot, but if you died in soul form, that was it. Game over.
Would you please stop using so much passive voice, especially if you are going to repeat the same tradition over and over before actually making your point.
I think the Old Monk and Lothric was a place holder one for better idea that may change later not any actual cutscene. It just doesn't look finish, the textures, animation and stuff. The bornfire sacrifice cutscene one the other hand is just another place holder. I bet they made the bornfire sacrifice mechanics even before they made this cutscene (trailer bait confirmed!). The animation is completed as you can see in your datamined videos This one doesn't.
I would've loved a Pontiff cutscene, but then the way it is now wouldn't work. When you enter now, you see a mysterious figure waiting in the distance in this vast cathedral. The music starts off very light. You see his name, the one guy all the items keep mentioning. Then you approach, he reacts and you get a full view. This wouldn't work with a cutscene. Hmm, I do like it the way it is now.

That Old Monk cutscene though
Immediately thought of the Seal of Orichalchos
I wonder what's worse: being banished to the shadow realm, being trapped within the Orichalchos card, or farming for pure bladestone in Demon Souls.
The second DS2 cutscene was straight out of gmod.
