Agree with your assessment. I had the valegro and was annoyed at the sunglasses not fitting very well into the helmet slots. Also, the thin narrow pads were not very comfortable and came unstuck from the velcro which made the helmet even less comfortable. Crashed hard this fall and the valegro did it’s job...threw it away and now I’m looking for another helmet.
I also had a serious accident which ended by breaking my femoral neck when I use Kask Valegro. I also hit my head to the ground but feel nothing. helmet was broken but I feel nothing on my head. So it perfectly does its job. Now I am lookin for new models because of the same reason:)
I have the vallegro and it caused me pain on the forehead, cause the padding design has 2 pressure points in the front rather than a single pad. I corrected it by adding some adhesive padding to level out the 2 tiny pads. It will improve the fit to be snug and will relieve pain.
Yes, i have had the Protone last year and now the Valegro as a team helmet... And in my eyes the new one is slightly more "uncomfortable" as the Protone because of the smaller padding in the front area - that is also the reason for two marks on the skin after longer rides.. But in the end two very nice helmets. For me works the Valegro in size S, then it is not so clunky ;-)
@@ako409 Hi, yes i have had the Valegro in S and Protone in M but to that time there was no other choice. With my 56cm i am on the very top end of size S, but for you with 54cm it seems to me nearly perfect! ;-)
An excellent and very valuable product assessment. Thanks for producing and kindly sharing the wisdom. Best wishes & happy peddling 🙏
Thanks!!
Looks very nice

Yes, exactly. Glad it saved your head anyway!
