If you think this vanilla island is weird, I once spawned into a completely barren island with absolutely nothing on it. No vegetation of any kind, including fibrous leaves. I took one look around, quit the game and started a new game with a different seed. BTW, you need to watch Robert Monkey play Subnautica. He is a complete noob--it's equal parts cringe-worthy and hilarious. He decided to explore behind the Aurora in his latest episode and ran into you-know-who. He bravely ran away, just like Sir Robin. Priceless!

I think the coconut hack balances out the fact you can't leave coconut halves and/ or barrels out to collect rainwater. Other games allow that kind of thing. So it gets a thumbs up from me ☺️

as of now 1/9/2024 the coconut hack has been removed at lest from the pc version and most likely the console too.

Too bad you couldn't light your old boat on fire and give it true sea burial. No giant rock and aboat in a boat, this was a weird island. 😂

I absolute favorite game survival list game deserted on island you have to learn how to craft different items to survive. covid came in, and this was my escape❤
Why are you yeeting those crates into the water? Does it cause save bloat and long loading times if you have a ton of opened containers in your world?
You start getting tons of lag. Imagine, you have 80 crates full of stuff, then you're floating to another island and all of a sudden you get "yeeted" into the sky & you lose your whole raft to aliens.

So crates really cause lag? Hmm, was wondering why I was having frame drops and stuttering when I'm sailing my raft with 18 crates, a smoker, water still, fuel still, two canopies and my copter on it. LOL

Also question, how do you start a new game with spawning in at a custom island and do they work on the Epic version of are they only for Steam? Oh speaking of mods, I'm pretty sure that one of the folks on the discord fixed the coconut glitch. Thanks again for the shout out, I feel special now.
Making a custom island for your spawn can be done with on pc or steam. Just start a game and move to another island save on that new island. Leave the game and in the cartographer you can add a island in the center now because your not in it. Now start a new game but keep your existing map you’ll have your spawn island as your set custom island.

u had 12 tires which is a much better raft isnt it or am I wrong about that even half yor sticks back is worth it to swap for tires or am I wrong? im vv new I just like how high up the tires sit, same reason I hate barrels cuza how low they sit in the water

what does vanilla island mean? What does cool down mean?
cool down time- the time it takes a respawnable item to respawn. in the case of yucca, i keep it on cool down, meaning when it respawns i harvest fiberous leaves again. keeping it on cool down.
Vanilla Island - is a non custom island, one generated by the game.

Don’t clickbait unless the clickbait has something, anything, behind it. This is 30 minutes of picking up rocks and fiber. Nothing weird here. If there was, it went right over my head.
