This is a really nice video. Now one thing is I've been working on dark Angel's on and off for a few years and that's one thing I dont really understand. Is it a Black basecoat then a "dry brush" of Caliban then a highlight if warp stone green? I was going to go a different direction with my companions though and paint them to look like a Fallen (Risen)
@@ThePaintingCoach itd probably help if I was actually consistent with my own stuff it's like everytime I paint I have to relearn everything but I'm a pretty busy 😒 but I got some basecoat stuff and I decided I'm going to reference the Risen a little aith their scheme.
Great video! Can I ask how you painted the inside parts of the standard/banner with it glued and not in subassembly? I would prefer to assemble models completely before painting but the banner looks tricky!
Thanks for the tutorial, will probably take inspiration from it. Considering switching the Screamer pink for Barak Nar Burgundy, found it went well on the inside of Azrael's robes.
Probably to harken back to the Dark Angels heresy-era color scheme of black , white, and red. But to still keep them visually distinct from the Black Templars whose primary colors are also Black… white…. And red. (Also just for fun and totally not to make things even more confusing, the color is really similar to the burgundy worn by veterans of the Guardians of the Covenant successor chapter of the DA.)
They look really good. Great directions. Wicked cheers
Thanks!
spot on this mate
Cheers mate!

I guess there are a few ways of doing them - the armour on these gives a fourth variation of xolour to go with bone, black and dark green

The blue on the sword looks fantastic against the purple robes. Who'd a thunk? Fantastic work!
Thanks!

It's fairly open to get a brush in there - so it's fairly straight forward - you just need to take your time and work at a bit of an angle
Looking fantastic! Lion El'Johnson would be proud!
Thanks 😁
Love the models and the paintjob is great too. Can't wait to get my hands on them.

That's pink.
Cool, video now i just need to be able to order them. Great video as always

Those pu 1:14 rple robes do not mix well with the green and white of the DA.
Aside from that, great painting tutorial!
I'm just following the box art 🤣
@@ThePaintingCoach oh yeah, I know. My complaint is not directed at you, you are doing an awesome work!
Thanks!
@@ThePaintingCoach you are welcome!
Nice!!!

Thanks, coach!

Superb mate ❤
Cheers mate
Those purple robes just don’t do it for me. Why didn’t they go with the cream/none color like nearly every other Inner Circle member?
No idea 🤷🏼♂️ to differentiate between the risen perhaps 🤔
Well - of you get em, it’s up to you if you want to make the robes more creamy

Burgundy is a good colour for them also.
