- Many of you are asking me about my favorite CBRN respirator and so we decided to review what we consider the most technically advanced gas mask.

Great, it saved me a few explaining sentences Yes, I didn't don it correctly on purpose and tbh, I find my heretical method much easier to execute since the mask doesn't really have any chin pocket so my face always slips out. We'll make a serious presentation of the respirator on an upcoming video about old gas masks and if they still can be utilized.

@@King-IbnDragon That part is actually legit as it is a regular procedure for emergency food intake during prolonged period of wearing. You would find the same info in the British CBRN army handbook :)

Why did they make them not white, but BONE white, as if they couldnt get more creepy. Then you get the MMG gas mask with the monkey marksman lenses and even more uncanny valley effect.
Yes, I kinda love the way these masks look like, especially the PRV-U. Completely unhuman

The military version (PMG-2) is a genuine favorite of mine as a gas mask collector, cheap, reliable, very very quick to put on, and because it has a voice diaphragm it makes my voice quite clear.
Just when I thought nothing beats grand protection 5 🤣
@@cbrnacademy i know you were being sarcastic but they are genuinely good masks, as long as you have a modern filter for them
@@HitachiTRQ-225 I understand your point and you're absolutely right. However I can't simply tell my audience to rely on legacy respirators because most people are unable to evaluate state of the rubber, inlet, exhaling valves etc. We will definitely address this topic in future video since it is rather complicated and we want to avoid oversimplifications and potentially dangerous recommendations.

i really like the style of the gp-5, but i will never trust it with my life. maybe if there were modern reproductions with modern and safe filters would i wear one.
Yep. As far as I know, Chinese are still producing helmet-style gas masks but apart from grotesque look there is little to no advantage over respirators with classic head-harness systems.
Let’s say I’m 14 but my head is pretty small what gp-5 size should I get and what website and what filter fits with it??
You actually have to measure your head circumference with a tape measure. There is a table for GP-5 sizes available on the internet for sure. Filter types that fit the GP-5 are 40x4 GOST, check out our tutorial explaining filter types.
We will make sure we'll explain all you need to know about GP-5 in an upcoming serious tutorial (this was just an April fools day video).
