Compared to the modern avon's speech horn design, I definitely prefer M10M and CM-4M's PSM. Once again, super grateful for the CM-4M you sold to me that time along with the outserts as well as the first batch of CBRN academy patch.
The topic of affordable surplus respirators is in general heavily based on where you live. That's why I want to make a similar review about M40 for people living in the US, even though it will be not cheap for me at all. 🤑 And thank you for the kind words, much appreciated. ❤🔥
A lot of people ask the same question so I will have to make a video about this topic. For now all I can say you can get them easily in Central European countries like Czechia, Slovakia and Poland.
Slovak civil defense would still rely on these in case of disaster... not because the CM-4 is that timeless, but they have nothing else... if we don't count CM-3s 😄
Good video, I'm assuming the front mounted filter is to make people not need to make a different gas mask for left handed people. Also are the lenses glass or polycarbonate? (I'm unsure if you guys did a video on the isreali A4 gas mask yet but a video on that would be nice)
The CM-4 was meant for civilians, thus the name "civil/civilian mask" and front mounted filter was a regular standard back then. Lenses are made of tempered glass, very hard to break.
As far as I know, it's a decent industrial respirator with not much to highlight, so I'll just name a few negatives. - Single size - 5-point head harness - the oral-nasal cup becomes yellow as the silicone gets older

M61 or the Finnish Style Gas Masks. Great channel, very enjoyable and most importantly informative too.
✨🏆✨

That is a very odl model but it works really perfect!

Good review.
Not a choice I would ever go for though.
Oh, absolutely. But even though the mask might be considered a relic, it is still considered a fully functional respirator for use in civil defense.

@@cbrnacademy i know about the silicone, not much of an issue with me because the yellow has aged into a sort of red tint that looks nice
Where can i find actual new filters for a gp5 russian
Breathe in the original filter it is quite safe for you actually! 👍
