@@h.k.3981 I don't think it's about taking it seriously. Kyrgios seems more an artist than typical athlete. For him it's about finding balance and overcoming demons. It'd be like telling a great artist that they can produce another masterpiece if they take it more seriously -- a bit more complicated I think.

Finally Kyrgios is starting to play like he did in 2017. If he can be consistent and keep his behavior in check, I think he becomes a legitimate threat for Masters titles and deep runs at the Slams. On a good day, he can beat anybody.

I respect the effort from Rublev on match point. He was obviously frustrated, but unlike some other players on the tour, he keeps trying hard even when he's having a bad day. That will make a difference for him in the future, and could help him win Slams.

I felt really bad for Rublev because he was not playing bad, it's just that Kyrgios seemed to be on another level and he just so happened to be on the other side of the net today. You could tell that Rublev was frustrated and I applaud him for his effort on match point when he could have easily let the lob go over him. Hope Kyrgios can win Miami! It's interesting that he's finally worked on his backhand and has turned it Into more of a weapon than just a shot. When he finally tries the announcers troll and jest that it looks like he's rushing points because he's late to a dinner RSVP.
He's always had the game to be one of the top players, he's never had the drive to continuously work to win though. I'm glad he's in a better mind set, I'd love to see him with a grand slam or two when it's all over

Look at how he takes the ball so early on the rise and keeps rublev on his feet; when nick is dictating his opponents are always on their heels unsure where and what nick is going to hit the ball.
