- Reset Mercedes CLK Convertible Headrests Easily...
Mercedes A209 CLK has this safety features that acts similar to roller bars in a convertible, if you hit big bump on the road or do a power slide, these Headrests pop up and to reset them you need to follow the instructions on this video.

CLK63

Mercedes ClK
It is great to be able to reset these CLK headrests without buying anything extra, unlike A207. The older the car, the more service-able, do you agree?
Just managed to reset mine thanks to your video 👍
👍
Thanks man, it really helped ❤
Thanks mate :)
Hi we"re having trouble finding the reset switch for the rollbars. Is there a schematic of its location in relation to the head rest? We have a w209 07 clk350. Thank you!
I suggest you to fully read the comment section for 2007 year there is a comment that might help.
Getting lucky with the poke on the first one helps with the 2nd. We are back in business. Thank you!!
How much will the switch descend before im able to push down on. The headrest? Thanks
Almost an inch.
Hey I have a 2000 CLK 430 could I use the same method or is the reset button in a different place ?
Hello, W208 might be different but give it a try, or see if you can find other YT videos. Good luck. And if you find out please leave the method over here for others to use. Cheers.
i cant find these on my clk 2005 320 convertible , is there any different place ?
I don't think so, the video is so clear. Try again.
Thank you video very helpful! 👊
You are welcome
Where do you find the rod for purchase?
Stolen from kitchen 😉
What rod are you using
My wife's chicken Kebabs stick 😀 I am serious...
my 04 clk 320 is being so difficult to put down , I’m trying to find the button 😢
Yes, it is not easy but check the clues at the end of video.
@@BenzAddiction did it after 5 minutes posting that comment thank you so much good friend ! greetings from california 🇺🇸
@@sirluminous7615 Great to hear :)
On my 2007 w209 the headrests would not stay down until I was told that the ignition switch must be on but the engine not running, they then locked down.
Thanks for the tip!
Did you find the switch and push headrests down before you turned the ignition? We are going insane trying to find the plate to push.
wow I just realized I have a dash button that puts back headrests down and no need to use this method! whew!
For A209, I have that button too, but does not do anything. That tough spring might need a big motor to push them down, there is nothing in the back, I have been there...
@@BenzAddiction when I hit the button my headrest went down fast.. maybe something isnt working on yours? i was having so many compounding issues.. back hidge on case cover was binding so coudl not get top down and needed top down to get r4ear quarter panel regulator out and when taking out back seat was thinking I had to pull on that and it popped up and I hadnt filled the hydraulic fluid either which was also why it would nt go down and coudl not get into trunk with case co ver half open lol then a buddy said i think i saw that button in a manual and he pushed it and BAM they went down! and was pretty happy lol then I was able to move forward lol currently it is all sorted out and working with my top hydraulics rear case cov er cyinders installed and rear quarter window working! your videos have helped immensely!
@dparham Glad it is all sorted, it is a nightmare when the roof cycle is not complete and the trunk would not open, and fluid level is low and the rest...
@@BenzAddiction only issue I have now besides seam split again on top, is that when I re installed quarter panel regulator, I forgot to adjust window before putting it back together so need to re align and hopefully I dont have to take it all apart to do that
