Children in Need was always a hard and tough place for actors and performers, which is why in recent years very few ever appear live on the studio stage, all their items are recorded and played into the studio. The pre-2012 era of Children in Need was much better. Once they left Television Centre after November 2012 the event went downhill fast.

Yes! After I commented, I got intrigued by how they managed to cover such a large and prominent bald patch. I looked at some footage of him as Del Boy and I suddenly realised that they could only have achieved that amount of coverage with a hairpiece. A Ted Danson style piece. I'm really taken aback, by that. I never twigged. It was always obvious that he had some degree of hair loss, but it just looked to me like he combed his hair over the thinning area.
