- Just wanted to show these swaging bits I came across awhile back, much less expensive way to get your swaging done and fast & easy to use. Save money on couplings and get your pipes done efficiently.

Great video. Thanks for taking the time.
Thanks. I've been on the fence about spending the 400 as well.
if you get the dwalt drill that has 2 speeds you get it way quicker. your drill spins slow thats why its taking you while to heat up the copper.
2 things that concern me. Are there copper shavings that come off during this process?
It seems that the fit is not very tight which would make silver soldering impossible .
Does the measurement on the bit tell you what the i.d. of the pipe with be after swaging?
I use the hex and the 7/8 broke but I use a hammer drill anyways , might buy these and give the others to my brother
Still carry them in my install bag 👍🏽
I rather use a impact way faster then regular drill
What adapter is that on your drill?
DeWalt chuck adapter, picked it up at Lowe's
PLEASE READ THIS!!!! NEED HELP!!!What kind of drill are you using?? I bought a Milwaukee m12 fuel surge impact driver yesterday. I went to use it on my spin swages and and it kept bugging down and stopping and not wanting to spin. Also what kind chuck adapter is that you are using??
I use a Milwaukee M12 impact, of course on the larger tubing it's going to struggle but I've been able to do most sizes by swirling the drill around a little. The pipe just needs to heat up to expand. And it's a DeWalt Chuck adapter
@@ReliableHVACR Yeah, I had the m12 Fuel Surge and it wouldn't do it on the larger pipe. So I took it back and got the M12 Fuel Impact with the M12 Fuel 1/2 in. Hammer drill. Both of them work great! Also I was using the Makita chuck; bought the Dewalt chuck and it works much better. Still having a problem when using the Impact driver with the Dewalt chuck. It will make the swage, but after I make the swage the swage bit is falling out or coming loose.
your not supposed to use an impact . only a drill at high rpms. they say this over and over but know one ever listens
Yes, I went and got the M12bSurge Impact with the Hammer drill. Works perfectly. Thanks for the tips fella's.
