In relation to the discs when compared to the complete saga blu ray did have character artwork (UK only) the discs themselves in the 4K set are reprints with different art.
Worth noting is that the menus for Force Awakens and I’m going to assume the last Jedi were changed from there original release to reflect the previous 6 movies.
I’m pretty sure the blu ray disc content for TFA is from the 3D version with the JJ audio commentary.
When you get chance I suggest to check out an unboxing of the U.K. complete saga release from 2011 it’s just a really cool variant between the U.K. and the US the packaging in terms of how the discs are stored is also different.
I’m from the U.K. so... and I’m also a hardcore Star Wars home media collector fan from VHS/DVD/blu ray/blu ray 3D/4K
One day I will try to pick up some laserdisc releases especially from Japan because Japanese Star Wars releases rock especially recently with 4K/blu ray 3D/blu ray combo packs.
I’m annoyed that from Star Wars to Jedi: The Making of a Saga wasn’t included.
The Rise of Skywalker are the same discs from the standard versions of the movie.
I’m getting this from Amazon here in the U.K. next month.

I didn’t know all of that with the difference from the UK. Do you collect every single variant of the films? If so I wanna hear and see them bc that would be so cool! I definitely have been tempted to but I don’t want to go into that dark whole as I collect so much as it is lol. Obi-Wan Jacobi I became a Star Wars home video collector in 2017, specifically July of 2017 after watching his from the Star Wars home video library (if you haven’t subscribed to his RUclips channel you need too).
He also did a book a saga on home video, the second edition should be out and of year.
I collect what I want to collect from all major formats including steelbooks and the tv shows.
As I said I want to do a laserdisc collection then I might pick some VCD and the only UMD.
I’m very select although rise of Skywalker comes out in 2-3 week here like and I’ve got all the rise of Skywalker releases for the U.K. and the 4K box set with two digital copies.
I suggest you use the rise of Skywalker code for the exclusive feature on John Williams and the music of Star Wars.
I’m also looking to include the VHS board game from 95 and the complete saga trivial pursuit game with the latter having two variants with the board and two without.
In an unrelated related move I also pre ordered the carbonised boba fett and stormtrooper from star action figures (U.K. stockist first exclusive black series figures). I’m also select about figures because I’m not a fan of the sequel trilogy.
I did have to get the carbonised Sith trooper before Christmas though because I liked the design but then I got Darth maul’ed in my arse 😜
Anyone living state side will be instantly jealous of U.K. collectors if you have a Star Wars VHS collection because we actually got a release as did other territories of revenge of the Sith.
It’s super rare because it was one of the last available VHS’ in the country.
I feel proud of my homeland and the relationship we’ve had with the SW franchise for 40+ years.
I became a fan between 89-91 at the of 3-5.
Now you know my age 😜 I’m just not a fan of the SW community fan base due to a subset of fans feeling self entitled wanting the original versions on modern formats.
Won’t happen until everyone loyal to George is gone from Lucasfilm.

I also have the carbonized figures preordered and I have been subscribed to from the home Library as well as listening to their podcasts for many years so that’s awesome you mentioned that! I love that you collect all of the different variations of home video and I would love to see it if you ever have any pictures or anything :).
I also have the carbonized figures on preorder as well as having a complete black series figure set which I just can’t help but getting them. I have such a passion for all of this as you can tell and I do it just because it brings me joy you know? Lastly I collect so many other things like video games, graphic novels, and anime so I’m varied in my collecting but that’s the fun part. I’m so happy you shared and I want to keep sharing and looking forward to more convos about all of this!
Obi-Wan Jacobi after I receive my rise of Skywalker/Skywalker saga releases on April 20 I’m looking to start an Instagram just to stop posting Blu-ray pick ups and random bullshit, collectables for example, action figures that sort of thing.
Are you a Power Rangers fan? If so what’s your opinions on the Lightning collection? Also what’s your opinion (if you have one) on the Marvel Legends series? Yes I have a thing for Hasbro.
If you want a really cool story I will share this I remember being nine years old back in 95 and I went into a local Toys “R” Us and for the first time I saw the power of the Force Princess Leia in the white outfit, fun fact this was never shown on the back card and was rare as fuck.
At one point I had the action figure book by DK covering all the Star Wars toys up to power of the Force.
It was a really cool book so much so I want to re-purchase and buy it again.
Oh before I forget did you ever watch the Netflix series the toys that made us? I was very picky on what I was watching but the Star Wars episode was really fucking interesting even though I already knew that George made his money through the toys because now you’re pretty your fox thought it was going to be a big deal 😂😜😂
Have you played Jedi fallen order? What did you think? I’m still thinking about picking it up on Xbox One as I still have my 10% discount because I have EA access.
Speaking of which did you see the press release version for the game? Goddamnit it came with a replica of Kal’s lightsaber, how fucking cool is that.
