i am taking the Bardic courses from OBOD and it has helped to open my eyes and soul to the world around me. as an upcoming historian and celtic studies major, druidry has inspired me to hold onto our ancestors stories and past and keep the memories alive. i live in the USA and there are no groves near me so i am mostly by myself for any rituals, which is the only downside that i dont get the community that many members share.
I dream of participating in something like this... I so desire to be with like faithed people who understand a deeper life like this. I pray you will be able to more and more and blessings of love and light to you all!
Thank you for sharing! This is very interesting to me and it is hard to find exposure on this path in the U.S. (well, besides reading!). I wish we could see more of this in the states. But, great video!
Inbelievable Beauty !!! This being said, I can't understand much ov thee talking, my english needing a good brush-up , but I'd so love to join in thee feast !..
Really enjoyed it Being so far from most of the OBODies, we walk a pretty solitary path, but we are still getting so much out of it. Maybe one day we will be able to travel to one of the camps or rituals. Loved the joyful little dog too!
Brilliant video. Made me long for a return to one of the annual gatherings. Sometimes its tough being 3000 miles away. It is a great introduction indeed.
Looked into all this just recently, and am quite interested in the feeling and the messages and the way to look at life thru the lens that society tries to shield from us for some reason. I will slowly try and see if I can begin an order or group in the area I live in, for there seems to be none at present, but should be. The video was edited quite well. As a talented and creative videographer as well, there will be something that comes from inside of me, just down the road a piece, in support.
Does anyone know how long it would take one to complete the initiatory coursework to reach each level within OBOD, as well as to complete it entirely? Answers to these questions would be well beyond appreciated! ❤️
Hmmm... It's certainly beautifully made, this video, but I share the sentiment that it's basically a large advert for OBOD, rather thanan informational video. That said, how is one to find a balance between outreach and advertising/marketing? It's a difficulty we face in ADO (another Druid group) as well, and I have to admit we haven't actually found a satisfying resolution to the problem -- which is likely why no one knows who we are!
OBOD and ADF are the largest Druid organizations, aren't they? The difference I believe being that ADF is avowedly Pagan, and considers itself a religion.

Yes! It's me, and it's called Spirit of Albion.
This indeed is the Celtic way of life and indeed what we all yearn to be.A tribal people in connection with the natural world.
