At the chromosomal level you have XX and XY but there are also other options such as XO (Turners Syndrome which have atypical physical characteristics and are sterile), Klinefelter's (when a male XY inherits an additional X chromosome making them XXY XXXY etc... they can be sterile and have atypical physical characteristics), males (XY) can also inherit an additional Y chromosome (XYY) which typically does not affect fertility although the elevated levels of testosterone can have related side effects. I'm surprised they didn't go over that in biology when you were in school, it's such a fascinating topic!
Genetically speaking there is a 50/50 chance of having a male vs a female however as with anything, there is a reasonable margin of error that allows for the fact that at any given time their won't be precisely 50/50 m vs f. Also there are some cultures the select for males or select for females; i.e. China's one-child-per-family policy along with their patriarchal culture meant that males were selected for.
Another thing that affects gender is penis length vs vagina depth. The closer the head of the penis is to the cervix, the higher the likelihood of a male whereas the further the penis is the higher the chance of a female. This is because the male sperm swim hard and fast while female sperm swim low and steady. Learned about this during a midwifery course and thought it was interesting.

I believe dreams have a bigger meaning. One time when I was really little. I dreamt my grandmother died and I was at her funeral and her ghost was telling me that it was okay to let her go.. I woke up that night and we got a phone call that my grandmother had passed away from complications of open heart surgery!
I love Squirmy and Grubs. They're two very special people. They make me laugh all the time. They both have a wonderful sense of humor, yet different. I love how they react to things and the not so nice things people say to them. They just laugh it off most of the time. Things like people patting Shane on the head or only speaking to Hannah when Shane is sitting right there. That stuff is over the top and just rude.

When I was younger I had this random dream of me at my after school program. A counsellor and I were in one of the side rooms, the sun was filling the room with light and we were making a necklace out of wooden beads. Than later on that week, the EXACT thing happen in real life and I remember completely freaking out about it. I know people say that it was probably just déjà vu but, I distinctly remember having that dream!
Hi Amy I have just started watching your VLOG ..I’m trying to get caught up. Anyway I have chronic illness and I have found taking a cruise is the easiest way to go. Each. Cruise ship has a disability desk and they will help you a lot. Also there is one company that reacts medical equipment that is allowed to be on the ship. I rent a wheel chair or scooter and a Oxygen concentrator , IV pole. The cruise provides a sharps container and the distilled water I need. They will also clean out out the mini fridge before you get there if you needed. They also provide gummies and nuts in case my blood sugar gets low. I always Cruise Norwegian they are the best. I know for you right now it's summer, where I am it's winter. On Wednesday when I left the house it was -5 degrees Farenheit which is -20.5 degrees Celsius. You are amazing. I am 62 year old nurse. I have talked about your channel loads at work. I love the medical stuff. We have to work to make disability the norm. First step to overcome bullying. You are doing a great service to raise awareness.
I use a car plug in cooler for my meds, cheaper than using an actual car fridge...well where i am that is. When i travel via plane i use a cooler and ice packs and i call the hotel prior to make sure there is a fridge and i ask them to have it empty because ill just take everything out anyway...then i wipe it down with lysol wipes and put a thermometer in it (because some of them actually have frozen my meds in the past). I always have a spare medi cooler or cooler and ice packs just incasr the fridge sucks.
I agree 100%. There is no reason for any of your videos to be flagged. You are dealing with issues that are real and apart of your daily life. Prior to watching you i had never heard of your disorder.

So I know this may go over some people's heads but temperature is a measurement of the speed molecules are going. The ° or degrees symbol is just a symbol used to represent molecule speed. So people who are familiar with thermodynamics, enthalpy or thermal energy (heat energy) transferred is delta H degrees. Now degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit are both measurements of temperature they just measure temperature in different incraments just as a distance measured in feet say 3 feet is the same distance but it yards it's one yard. Or about 2 feet is one meter, they're the same length just a different value just. This measurement would be distance. So something's are three feet apart or some things are one yard apart. So essentially degrees applies to both farenheight, celcius, other measurements such as kalvin all means the speed at which molecules are moving. Therefore using degrees for all systems of measurement regarding heat is used correctly.

I have a reoccurring dream that I'm walking on top of this mountain looking at the views and the mountain face breaks away and I fall into the sea below and drown, just before I die, I wake up. Had it for about 14 years now. It's not nice so I know what you mean. Love your vlogs, you and Tom are just goals! X
My Dad had repeated nightmares of his hands being chopped off. In 2007 he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis which affected his hands first. He died on Mothers day 2009. I still miss him
I knew my dad was dying a year before he passed away. I dreamt that the doctors told him he was sick and then I told my mom who thought I was crazy. He passed a year later. I also have a feeling in my gut and get anxious just before anything bad happens. Last year I got up for work and just felt like something was wrong, something was going to happen that day. I shook it off, got in my car and started off to work. I then scooted to the right (I'm in eastern Oregon US) to avoid hitting a large truck head on the road is nature there.... I hit three gravel, which wld not have been bad except after hitting a vino the car shut off, the steering locked then after what seemed like forever I hit another bump and God only knows how the car came back on and the steering popped shooting me to the left up over the rd and if my front left tire hadn't caught deep mud right at the edge of the pavement I'de have most likely been ok but instead I began to flip. I flipped 3.5 times off the the cliff, ass end of the vehicle was up in the air so all impact was on the windshield and top of the roof by that .. I am not advocating not wearing your seatbelt however I am only here because I wasn't. I'm only 5ft 2 in and the windshield was smashed all the way down to the steering wheel. During the first flip I put my hands on the roof and pulled myself into the back seat. I ended up by the end on all 4s on the windshield at the end as the car slid another 50 ft. N came to rest against a fence. I got out of the car and got a ride from state trooper to my other vehicle and drove to work in another town 45 miles away and was still only 2.5 hrs late for work then finished 10 hours that day. I look back now and remember I just kept thinking I needed to stay in bed that day. Do I totally get the dreams and even get feelings myself before things happen. It's crazy isn't it
Dreams I believe are a chance for our subconscious to be heard, so things that we might not necessarily be consciously thinking of but are running on in the background come forward to give us clarity or try to say something is wrong.
When I was little I would have a very similar dream on repeat, it was always about a pack of wolves chasing me. I am a lucid dreamer, basically meaning that when I’m dreaming I know I’m dreaming, haven’t figured out how to manipulate them as much as I would like, I try but it usually ends up with me getting stuck in a wall trying to pass through them lol...anyway I would have so many dreams about wolves attacking me, sometimes family would be around but only I would get attacked, I had one where the wolves came into the house, my pop was sitting at the table reading the news paper and I was under a hallway table with flippers on smacking the wolves and I started falling asleep in my dream and then just woke up. I had terrible anxiety back then and I believe that may be the cause of those dreams.
I was scared a wolf was going to come into the house and get me while I was in bed, so I would lay right in the middle making myself as flat as possible and sometimes even putting the pillow over my face so the wolf wouldn’t get me. It was really bad. Also being in an Australian coastal city...the chance of a wolf actually getting me just wasn’t a thing..but the dreams were often enough that they gave me that fear.
Now days I still lucid dream every night and remember most dreams I have with usually too much detail (more if I start having withdrawals from my antidepressants) but instead of my dreams constantly being bad I actually really enjoy them, sometimes they are freaky but it plays as part of the story or a movie sometimes (even with titles showing up).

Babies with XY chromosomes (genetic males) are more likely to be conceived bc the sperm has an easier time getting into the egg cell, but genetic males are less likely to survive until birth (some will never implant and you will never know you were pregnant). Whether or not you have a boy or girl is not *exactly* 50-50 because other factors play into conception and pregnancy. In an ideal, theoretical situation there would be exactly 50-50 chances.

Right! This is How You Bingham showed when the Dad broke his leg and the bone popped out. Their son broke his collarbone during field day and they showed that. Also their daughter broke her arm at Legoland and they showed all the medical stuff. Also recently the Dad had a gross eye surgery and they showed his wife removing one of his stitches. Non of their videos were demonetized.

I don't like little mix, either lol but anyway, i wanted to say that, as always, i find you incredibly inspiring and you make me smile despite the depression and suicidal thoughts i have. I always dreamed of having a love like yours and Toms, and i hope you two will forever be happy and thinking of creative things to make people go "hmmmmm"... I hope your health improves significantly and you can live the life you deserve. However, i will continue to appreciate and be in awe of how positive and bubbly you are despite everything. I suffer from a small form of gastroparesis caused by my anorexia as well as anxiety and depression, and i can not imagine having a positive outlook the way you do. You truly inspire me and i hope your channel and everything continues to grow and you lead a life full of health, happiness, and everything else you deserve. you are a beautiful and caring soul inside and out, and you only deserve the best of life.

In the US (at least my state), hotels are required to supply u with a fridge for stuff like insulin that needs refrigeration. Idk how sterile they are but they exist.
Those fridges are soooo expensive. I bought one that is dual powered for use in a car or off a battery or off a regular plug. It works well but it’s so heavy. Can’t lift it so it’s impractical to take in/out of car. So keep weight in mind.

I think sometimes dreams are just your brain processing the events of the day, but others I think do mean something. I've personally had dreams where specific things have come true that are so specific that I'm skeptical that it was coincidence, and I've had dreams that felt like those who have passed away were comforting me through hard times.
Biologist here! Unless the male has a chromosome abnormality (XXY or XYY, which are very rare) then he has the same number of X's and Y's. However, there could be other factors that contribute to the ratio not being 1:1. I'm not sure if this is possible, but perhaps for whatever reason, sperm carrying one chromosome or the other are more "fit" and either survive better or fertilize better than their counterparts. Realistically speaking, though, it's probably just chance.
from what I understand, it's the sperm that decides the gender of the baby. sometimes it's just in their genes to make more 'boy' sperm or 'girl' sperm...was the only girl born into my last name for a very long time because of this

I have heard (but have not truly researched) that the acidity or alkalinity (pH) of the female's environment can play a role in the sex because only certain chromosomes can thrive in either an acidic or base environment (i.e. if the environment is acidic, all the X chromosomes will fail and only the Y's will survive or in a base environment the Y's will fail and the X's will thrive, although I may have the X's and Y's reversed according to the pH, but you get the idea). It seems a bit like that in my family. Even though I had 2 husbands, I ended up with 4 children (two from each husband) and all 4 were boys. My baby sister had only 2 children and both were boys. I had another sister who had only girls (2), and finally, my oldest sister, the most level headed and balanced of us all, ended up with the only 50/50 split (one girl and one boy). However, the girl of the only boy/girl split is now an adult, and has had 4 children (from different dad's), and all of them turned out to be boys, so go figure.... God knows perfectly what He's doing, so I just trust Him to work it all out.

Your vlogs are authentic and what's more important they are real!!! I'm not really sure why you got demonetized. What was the reason? But in general, I think youtube has so much garbage content that it is just unbelievable. What's worse is that so many people view such content. It's ridiculous because to be honest with some of the youtubers it is not content at all. I'm not really sure what they are trying to get across if anything. Hi dear Amy, thank you for your lovely videos. They brightened up my night. I Have some chronic illnesses and having a rough night atm. Can't sleep from the pain and symptoms. Sad that happend to your video. It's stupid that yt handled it that way. I also hope you will find a nice place to go for your holiday. About dreams. I dream almost every night very intense so atm im having meds for that because I would get no rest at night. Still some dreams come through the meds and I do think they tell a lot about current state of your life and your unconsciousness. For example I'm in a car I don't have a driver's license 8 have to drive the car and I can't take control. I also had a ship dream once like you I was on titanic it was sinking and when I was dying I get teleported right in front of my school and fainted. So I guess that's all about not being in control of your life indeed.
One weird thing that has happend was that once a man walked to me and said you will have dreams that will tell the future??
Also dreams remain a mysterious object. I don't know if you know narcolepsy? My boyfriend suffers from that disease and he has hallucination nightmares every night it's like as real as real life. He wakes up sometimes angry at me if he had bad dream about me or something else. I think in future the world of science can discover lot about dreams.

I agree wholeheartedly on your rant! There is a wonderful youtuber I watch that does professional videos regarding unsolved and unknown missing persons cases; she doesn't show graphic images nor say anything vulgar and her videos get consistently demonetized. It's INSANE.
I definetly think dreams have such a deeper meaning. I have soo much experience with weird dream stuff. Aside from dreaming of different insects or toads and stuff like that which really say alot about how you're feeling. My most recurrent dream when I was younger was not really suprising I just remember it so vividly lol. Growing up my dad was super abusive and a drunk, he used to beat my sisters and I all the time, we figured if we hella layered up it wouldnt hurt so bad. So in my dream he was hitting us and found out about the layers of clothes, ripped them off and somehow I got out of his grip (he was 6'4 and a huge body builder) ran outside and banged on my neighbors door and it always ended there. Besides that I would dream of going in my parents master bedroom and see a girl in each of my parents closet (they had 2) crying and scared. Later to find out the person who lived there before us is in prison for kidnapping women and torturing them. Yes, that house is super haunted and negative, every hallway you go through you feel the urge to run for your life, hear things, see things, the whole shabang. Anyways so many more dreams but thats the 2 I remember most

Xy and xx is not what decides someones sex. You can have xy but female hormones and have a vagina and stuff. You can also have xx and male hormones. You can also have extra chromosomes (xxy). So it's not as easy as you grade 4 biology lessons lol. And there's a difference between GENDER and someones SEX. Gender is what you identify with while sex is biological and you're either biologically female, male or intersex. You can even be intersex without knowing it until you've had both hormones and chromosomes checked so yeah it's way more fuzzy of a subject than you learn

Males carry xy x male y female. so females have only possibility to boy child giving an x. the male will give and x or y depending on genetics. so if boys or girls are prevalent in the males side of the family will determine what x or y gets added to the females x.
I have a reaccuring nightmare where I'm outside and just doing whatever then I'd see a brown bear or a grizzly bear and I immediately become overcome with fear. Sometimes the bear chases me or sometimes it doesnt. The usually wake me up and I end up in a major panic attack then I go a few days without sleeping.

The making of the sperm that contain the chromosomes, Spermatogenesis, comes from one whole (xy) gamete, which replicates (2x XY gametes) then divides into 4 sperm, 2X's and 2Y's. The only thing that i find interesting is whether the people who have family's like you were suggesting have a gene that deforms the sperm with a particular chromosome.

Answer to "Things that make you go hmmmm.." Each person normally has one pair of sex chromosomes in each cell. The Y chromosome is present in males, who have one X and one Y chromosome, while females have two X chromosomes. So essentially it's the male's sperm that fertilizes the female's egg that is the deciding factor on what sex the baby is by either giving an 'X' or a 'Y' chromosome since the mother can only contribute an 'X' to the baby.
I am the same way with dreams!!! When I was little I would have a reoccurring dream that I would get attacked by cartoon vampires as I was trying to go down the stairs and another one where I would be minding my business and all of a sudden fall into darkness. I also had dreams where I would dream about late family members that I never saw a picture of and I would tell my mom and she would have my grandmother send her pictures of said family members. My grandfather had a brother who died at a young age from some kind of illness and I described him to a T...they never had pictures of him or talked about him cause it hurt my grandfather too much. Dreams can be creepy AF!

i think a lot of dreams have deeper meanings, while some may just be random. if you think about something or are frequently worrying about something a lot then it definitely transfers to your dreams. this is depressing, but i was just broken up with from a long term relationship and I keep having dreams quite frequently for the past month and a half that my ex and I get back together/meet up, etc. and i know a lot of people have vague stressful dreams (such as teeth falling out, falling down something) when they have been stressed for long periods of time. every once in a while though my dreams are so random I rlly wonder where tf they come from lol

A recent study has found that there are genes on autosomal chromosomes (not the sex chromosomes) that actually cause an increased rate of cell death in a certain type of gamete. So males obviously have XY. One combination of alleles causes increased cell death in sperm containing an X and the other combination of alleles cause increased cell death in the sperm containing the Y. Therefore males do produce more X containing sperm or more Y containing sperm depending on a gene on their autosomal chromosomes, skewing the probability of having male or female children. That's why having lots of boys or girls tends to run in a family. Its also funny to think that Henry the eighth chopped off his wives heads because they weren't giving him a son, whereas, in reality, it was actually his fault.

I have a friend who, in about 4th grade so about 7 years ago, had a recurring dream that her eyebrows were mac and cheese. Weird :D I have been having a recurring dream recently where I see a man, probably in his 20's, walking across a 3rd floor walkway/balcony thing of a hotel or apartment building (one of those things where its like a long balcony you walk through to get to your door). He has one of those drawstring backpacks on and theres metal pipes or bars running along the ceiling. My point of view is almost like im above him, and somehow his backpack strings get stuck on the metal above him but his backpack is still on normally. I go "hey, your bag strings are stuck on the metal" and he just turns around, looks at me completely emotionless then casually just jumps over the balcony and the backpack strings hang him around his neck somehow. I can't figure out what this means, if it means anything. I don't know whether i should be searching for a death dream, a suicide dream or a hanging dream. So weird.

Some woman can only carry one particular sex. Like i miscarry every boy i conceive but can carry girls. I think its mainly random, but lots of factors contribute.
First off I have to say I don't agree with RUclips not paying you for the video with your dislocated finger. I have seen some things that shouldn't be on RUclips, you deserve to be paid. Have you seen here vlog about a smaller portable iv pole? It may be something to check out. I definitely believe dreams have a very deep meaning. I personally have had dreams come true. I guess the scariest or creepiest was a dream I had of my dad passing away. The dream was spot on with how he died, the funeral and everything. It happened five years before he actually passed.

About dreams... i dream a lot and i always have. A night when i wake up and dont remember dreaming is unusual. I belive that most of our dreams is just the brain sorting and processing the day. Its very common that i can link back my dreams to things that i did, talk about and so on. But i do belive that dreams that returns menas something. Or dreams that are wery odd and not ”normal”. And it can be all from stress, things we opressed and so on.
Oh and olso, i ALWAYS gets nightmears if i eat to close to sleeping
can you not get holiday bags that don’t need refrigerating ? I got told to bring the first bag in a cool box with ice packs and then use holiday bags as they don’t need to be in the fridge! Xx

Dreams definitely do mean certain things!! I love writing down my dreams and looking them up.
I believe dejavu's or when someone says you look so familiar I swear I've seen you before is a dream from your past and also your spirit guides way of telling you that your on the right path in your life at this moment. I have watched a ton of videos on dreams/Sylvia brown. Also read books on dreams and angels as well!!! I believe dreams / spirit guides/dejavu's are all connected together. Its honestly really interesting stuff to read up on. 💜💛❤
