Nah that's tee hee 😂
WTF HAHAHAHA
All Shall Perish*
this woman is the best vocal coach in the world, she learned pro's techniques to scream and they are now famous, so shortly said, she does
so ariel burdette is awesome too lol
0:25 Eddie Hermida must have watched this video
Noel Zarb I just sit out my drink XD
Omg thank you for mking my day better XD
holy fuck! hahahahaha
😂😂😂
Why do i not get it
if only there was a live webcam for everyone doing all these !
I’ve literally been doing these warm ups before I ever stated touring, every show on tour, and now when I practice to record. Highly recommend
Well, I have to say that I personally have done some training with her and she is AMAZING!! Performances haven't been the same since! Thanks Melissa!
When Randy Blythe of Lamb of God says this technique works, THE TECHNIQUE FUCKING WORKS!!! Im trying this out like ASAP.
Really helpful exercise. I've noticed the changes with my vocal pitch and quality.
Melissa really is a genius!
I own her DVDs and it really helped me on stage
It says right in the DVD (on both DVDs, actually) 'this DVD will not teach you how to scream, it will teach you how to use the scream you already have without injuring your vocal chords and to increase your vocal stamina and live gigging ability'.
However 90% of the kids who just want a free pass looked right past that and said 'oh you taught all these great bands to scream! I want mine! gimme gimme gimme!'
I've been screaming improperly on and off for a few years and I want to get better.
Phil Bozeman brought me here
He gets his voice from the demon that possesses him
well, aril Burdett brought ME here
ariel
I was skeptical, but this definitely helps more than you think I've been an extreme vocalist for over 8 years.
i love melissa shes amazing
I really can tell the honest talent and professionalism with all her warm ups, . Like 2 I’ve seen before!
I lie 1
Please I hope I’m completely anonymous besides my replies!!
2:53 sounds like a frosen yoghurt Commercial.
She's so cute
it is all a vocal warmup including facial muscles, it really helps.
Melissa Cross has been around way before the DVDs were out. If you weren't a pro you wouldn't know she was a vocal coach but she has actually over 20 years of professional coaching which also explains her classical training methods, scales, etc. If you notice, her training is just like classical training, only it's for screams instead of harmonics. It will actually also make your harmonics stronger.
*Skips straight to **1:00*
I don't know what I was expecting
Where was Matt Tuck? I only saw Randy Blythe lol
Hahaha this is really fun its like when I was doing the big face little face excercise I felt like an infant playing peekaboo with Melissa Cross anyone else get that?? haha love u Melissa
I love doing gee yaws. This woman has helped me sooooo much!
I don't see Matt Tuck but I reconize Randy in the video...
These are Matt Tucks warm ups.
ohhh okayyyy... thanks for the head up, hehehe
They work by the way. They are really good for opening up all the air ways and when combined with her resonating warm ups they make your voice really shine through!
but do you use them for screaming or singing?
screaming
I use this video before every jamm! thx! lml
She is the best but she didn't learn them. She created them! I think she is phenomenal
2:04 Her movements like a kittie :3
Melissa Cross is fucking awesome! This woman is the reason half of the best vocalists today can scream as well as they can!
lol your warm ups are rly fun to do! and I love the music that goes along with them! It makes you wna do more!
I love scream aim fire
Lol! I just can't imagine Matt doing this!!!
I love big face little face, and yes, it's everyone's favorite, that and the numbers are my favorites.
the K/G exersize sounds sort of like Kaga, which means "To Shit" in spanish,
From my experience in learning to play guitar and sing, the stupider the exercise, the more it helps
@acdcx512 She's not a metal artist, she teaches you how to scream effectively and amplify your screams without destroying your vocal cords.
She's mentored tons of mainstream artists. Don't make her personal sound as a deal breaker to checking out her warmups
Second inlet on both DVDs: This DVD does not actually teach you how to scream.
However once you develop even a marginal scream, the exercises, warmups and ideas expressed in this DVD are VERY, VERY legitimate, with roots in classical music training/vocal coaching.
So basically, lock yourself in a room until you can scream without hurting your throat, find where your diaphragm, windpipe, throat, and lungs are, where your center of breath is - Then come back and watch these.
En scream aim fire se ve bastante lo de ir agrandando la boca en el grito q pega cuando dice "scream aim fire" lo va haciendo cada vez mas agudo abriendo las comisuras
It's actually more helpful to people who have experience gigging, if you actually do the exercises. Being a guy who screams, but also a guy who actually has seen and participated in several classical training sessions for harmonic/melodic vocals, I can tell you that if you've ever seen a serious harmonic/melodic vocal coaching DVD or been part of a vocals class, that 90% of this is the same stuff they teach you there, with slightly different methods for creating noise
These are great!
This exercise is really effective for me in my scream singing and regular singing
Have you ever seen the entire dvd? She goes through a million warmups, then she shows vids of other people screaming. The closest thing to screaming she goes through is in the Heat and Fire chapter, where the Fire resembles a vocal fry.
I nearly peed myself laughing when she started the "big face, little face" XD
cool matt tuck and randy blythe, 2 of the best screamers i've ever heard :P
1:46-47 should be called the baby
@Unknown unknown
Neither Chris Feign, or Corey Taylor have worked with her. (The vocalists behind Slipknot)
Randy Blythe of Lamb of God on the other hand has.
when you sing or scream you use your facial muscles. When you stretch these muscles, you've warmed up your face and can sing better. That's why Cross showed that face exercise. And the same thing applies to tongue
I sound just like matthew tuck now. Thanks.
WOOO RANDY BLYTHE. big love to him.
Melissa is the greatest!!
she may be insane, but she is a fucking genius!! i owe allot of what i can do to this lady!!
this is amazing its
really helping my voice
I think the best screamers are
Dani Filth (cradle of filth)
spencer Chamberlain (underoath)
Howard Jones and Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage)
Dennis Lee (Alesana)
Jared Warth (Blessthefall)
zen of screaming is in the post!!! cant fucking wait to get my hands on it!!!!!!!
@godsvayne read the description - they're warm-ups that Matt Tuck uses, with a guest appearence of Randy Blythe in the video ¬_¬
I can't imagine Randy Blythe doing this
She seems lovely
Waking the pencil!!!! - oh snap! doesn't have the same ring to it
lovin it...
yes representing the Spee thats awesome hes in my top 3 as well
@Amorphon actually that excercise is extremely helpful for streching the facial tissue and prepping it to growl in my case
thanks
hahahahahaah her big face was hilarious!!!!
shes so metal
aaa and randy is beast
1:44 she looks so pretty and cute here lol I'm not even joking
I started training with Steve Whiteman from KIX, but when we make it really big,I'll have to look into whether she does one-on-one sessions!
randy blythe is awesome
I had no idea feeling like such a fool could make u sound so good :P
Lamb of god \M/
In case you haven't noticed or are an actual singer, warm-ups aren't suppose to be cool or fashionable. They're designed for two purposes and two purposes only.
1) To warm up the vocal cords and muscles related to singing.
2) Prevents damage to these muscles.
Man that Gee Yaw clip would be hilarious played out of context.
2:53 This could be in a car commercial. :D KIA KIA KIA KIA... Now comes with 7 year warrenty. :D
LAWL THATS RANDY!!! PFFF
ok thanks alot
matt actually has to watch these b4 every live show so he gets the screams right lol
haha im so glad everyone is asleep as i do this xD whould die if someone walks in to my room right now xD
i love this woman :)
I LOST.
And the song at the very beginning is "Scream Aim Fire" if that's the one you mean.
the most important parts of this video are 1:00 , 1:44 , 3:38 if you practice these the rest just happens
i actually tried some of the exercizes it was pretty fun haha
randy blythe is so fuckin cool
that face was funny!! hahha
that made me laugh a lot
Melissa Cross presents...
PLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYSSSSSSCHOOOOOOOOOOOOLLL!!
Lamb of God ! that's right
Got here and it was 666K views. True fucking story! 🤘
wow, i have GOT to see what matt looks like doing these...
heck yea
Good advice for matt, randy :P
Hahaha I love Randy. 'I dunno how the fuck you do that?'
Melissa Cross develops specific vocal warm ups for select singers. This one is for the BFMV singer.
They're mainly to sing and scream your lungs out and not screw up your throat (allowing you to do your screaming and singing for longer)
Was that what you were asking?
@TheRandomnessofAandP Yea. ive got their Poison Live DVD and the intro to this vid is Scream Aim Fire, which I can almost play, and since i know the words to the song by heart, i can focus on playing the guitar and let the words just come out on their own. Thats how i do alot of the songs i play.
it does work, you have to take seriously. If you put time in it and put yourself in a "don't give a fuck" mode and do warm up's and everything. you'll feel so much better on set and afterwards.
BOTH
randy blytheeeeee
Dvd is really helpful, it is so awesome, but why isn't there any goddamn subtitles?
Oh it is called "Melissa Cross "Matt Tuck (Bullet For My Valentine) Warmups"
LMFAO THIS IS HILARIOUS
GUH CUH GUH CUH GUH CUH, BRILLIANT lol
an angry child eh? anyway i guess my point was, that this video is NOT from Zen of Screaming. And she DOES teach Matt Tuck. BOOM!! SNAP!!
ya its randy blythe
randy blythe is telling matt tuck to use these techniques i think.
sweet
