  • Hi folks,
I have made a simple knob to replace the infeed height adjustment on a planer.
I bought this planer for 21 dollar pounds and have spent around 15 more on it, the rest were bits I had laying around.
If anyone is interested I might make a cover for the pulleys in the future but as its only me who will use it I am undecided.
    Cheers

Great video as usual. Have you tried setting your the parameter to "keep tool down"? It would stop it retracting after each cut, it would be a massive time saver.

I tend to remove most drivers from the PC (network etc) and use a PC-100 interface now and it seems very stable. The only issues are my mistakes!

      Thanks Matt,
Understood I still class myself as a true amateur with PC's Mach 3 is really good in a lot of respects but I think there are better solutions around now. The interface with my control panel is pretty hard to do and a bit shaky! I am not sure it would work at all with a usb to 25pin adapter.
I wonder if there is a list somewhere of just the drivers needed for Mach 3 and the pc?
      Cheers

Mach 3 is dead. I run UCCNC on my mill, and Centroid Acorn on my lathe. Of course if you want to use that software you'll have to buy new hardware. Anyway, nice knob, don't forget to polish it!
