So I’m a carpenter of 24 years coming up on 25 in June. I have both of these lasers (mine is actually the 704CG Which has four lasers instead of the three )and I would personally have to disagree about the quality. The S04CG is a much more substantial laser. The build quality all around is more rugged The plastics are better. It’s covered in a rubber over molding all the way around and towers on the S40CG are Aluminum instead of plastic. While you do get more runtime from that larger battery on the 704CG , I honestly preferre the other battery. That power tool style battery that they use does not lock into place in the fit isn’t extremely tight. On the S04CG it is a sealed compartment. The price difference between the S04CG and the 704CG is about $100 the S04CG being the more expensive one. I do like the built in micro adjustment on the 704 CG but I find it jumps sometimes. The bracket on the S04CG seems to be a little better made. The magnets on the S04CG bracket are also stronger. Out of the two the S04CG is in my opinion the more professional grade. In personally, I would trust it more for repeatable results. I will say the feet at the bottom of the S04CG could’ve been a little more rigid. If they do a redesign, it would be nice to see those made out of aluminum. But I’ve always enjoyed your reviews on these lasers. I think Huepar is an underrated company and I’m glad to see contact creators give them exposure. Good Job!
Hi Leo hope your well, great video it looks a good sturdy laser level and got a bit of quality to it. You seem to be happy with this product good strong and bright laser lines. thank's for this video mate take care👍
Looks good. I have the 4 plane that is in the video. It came with the micro adjustment base that's in the background at the end of the video. No issues with the huepar laser. I don't use it everyday though.
Thanks George, I only realised it once I’d finished filming and uploading it I used the wrong laser as a reference. My first laser level from Huepar you had to remove the battery and , as you say, it’s not the case with the S04. My apologies 😀👍
Yer welcome. I bought the S03 to do a lot of ground work almost 3 years ago, and shortly after I bought the laser distance detector LR-6RG and the AT2 Bracket. Around the same time I saw the Huepar laser measure and having owned a not very accurate Ultrasonic measure, I thought for not much money it would be worth a risk. Brilliant, and as a two handed (one handed?) on his own builder it was a god send and is in use constant. All good kit for very little money. Cheers.
Question do these 12 line lasers have vertical/horizontal plumb points(where the lasers cross) I mean is the cross on the floor is perfectly inline with the cross on the ceiling? I can't seem to find this answer anywhere!
If you read the description of these types of 12 line lasers it normally doesn't say you can use it as a plumb bob in its scope of features. You think it would advertise it on the front of the box, being such a useful feature especially to any one working on building sites.
You can change it to GBP Paul. I’ve just checked via my phone and on the top left of the screen you’ll see 3 lines, click that then tge currency is at the bottom, change it from USD to GBP 👍👍
You have not done a good review of the laser, first you have to test the accuracy, at a distance of 10 meters, put a line with a pencil and then turn the laser 180 degrees and if it hits the same spot, the same applies and for vertical then you have to test 90 degrees whether it is correct or not. this may be an accurate review. I had a Chinese laser test and they came out incorrect
Great video and fantastic to see a company evolving through feed back and market research.
It is Paul and well said. The improvements made in this new model are much better suited for the type of work they are used for 👍👍

Thanks for the quality feedback here of your experiences and how you see them. Really appreciate the time you’ve taken here, best wishes, Leo 😀👍

Thanks Shaun, yes it’s a good piece of kit pal. Much more sturdy than the previous models 👍
Looks good.

Yes I’ve got that micro adjustment base and it comes in really handy, especially when doing work close to the floor. Cheers for the message pal 😀👍
Great Video Leo… keep up the good work…
Thanks Marco 😀👍
Great video, I think that one is similar to the one i have but mine came in a fabric case and not a box
The first one I bought came in a fabric case pal, plastic one much better if you’re moving about a lot with it 👍👍
👍👍👍. Thanks Leo
Cheers Pete 😀👍
Great vid
Thanks Rob 😀👍
On your existing model, the USB C charging port is on the side. There is no need to remove the battery.

My answer to that would be yes as where they join above will be in line with the floor👍
Cheers 👍

I clicked on the link to check out the level. But was showing me in USD.and not GBP

Just managed to get one of these reduced during Amazon sale and then there was a £30 voucher on top so all in it was £101. Absolute bargain
Good to hear Rob, very impressed with it pal. Be interested to hear how you get on with it 👍👍
