  • Basically, this is a video of guitar bands from or close to the Seattle music scene in the late '80s and early '90s, or that were connected to it in some way. And yeah I'm sure a few people will remind me in the comments that they didn't like being labeled, but for the purpose of this video I'm calling them gruunnnnggee!

    "Black Sabbath meets The Beatles" is how i usually describe grunge in the simplest of terms.
    I know it has roots in punk music but most people dont know the differences between genres/subgenres when it comes to rock, metal, or punk... so yeah.

    • @ivansalazar767
      @ivansalazar767 Год назад +1

      @Luigi Conder kurt himself loved the Beatles and nirvana is full of melody, hooks, and simplicity
      Dave Grohl: "Our songs were simple. They were children songs, that was the unspoken rule." (Might be paraphrasing.)
      That's what makes me think of the Beatles.
      "Black Sabbath meets the Beatles" is a good way to describe Nirvana to someone who's never listened to them. Obviously more experienced music lovers would compare them to the pixies instead but not everyone has heard of Nirvana or the Pixies. Most people know the Beatles though lol

    So glad School and 4th of July were on this video, very underrated songs in my opinion. 😊

    yo I saw you use the fender jaguar blk and Ive only seen bad reviews about it which is upsetting because Ive never seen a gutiar I like the look of more, is it really as bad as people put it out to be? did you have any problems (sick vid btw)

      I like it but then again I haven't really played Jaguars before so I don't know what to compare it to. Only problem with it is the bridge and the ringing of the strings you get with it when playing sometimes and saddle screws sometimes moving. I like the way it sounds and feels though and enjoy the coil split feature on the humbucker.

    The heavier riff from hunger strike is probably my most favourite "grunge" riff

      No amp. I just used a Boss DS-1, Joyo AC Tone (clean parts) and EHX Little Big Muff for the fuzzier parts
