Can the Logitech K4000 PLUS Wireless Keyboard be directly connected to the UA40K5000AK model Samsung TV or the Logitech K4000 PLUS Wireless Keyboard be connected to the UA40K5000AK model Samsung TV only via PC?
I own a k400 plus, and from personal experience, I would recommend turning off the keyboard when not in use. (comment written on my k400 plus)
I use the normal K400 and I have never turned off my keyboard in years.
@Greg Frost Normal Energizers, nothing special :) I change the batteries every 2-3 years.
I have K400r once but is broken now, I am also having Microsoft All-in-One wireless one, similar design but I prefer K400r!!
Nothing like a review that provides nothing more that a picture, no functionality or connectivity just out of the box and here it is.
Original k400 or the k400r is better in my opinion. It’s strictly because of the split up/down arrows on the yellow plus keyboard. I kept hitting the right shift key while scrolling pages. Return to Amazon and bought two of the k400 locally. This was several years ago. Still loving the k400/r.
My k400 keeps lagging recently.
The wireless signal seems to drop very easily, this wasn't the case when i first bought it.
Is the k400 plus more reliable in its wireless connection?
Nice review, only thing is that your old one is the K400r not K400.
I find it funny, every single point for which you prefer the Plus model is the same which makes me want to prefer the regular lol.

Works well in a living room. The distance is claimed to be 10 meters. I don't know, but it's long enough without any problems anyway.
Nice comparison ! By the way do you think it is a better choice than the Microsoft All in One ?? (As trackpad multi functions and longest distance possible )
The space bar on mine responds very intermittently... maybe it’s the way I type, but unless I tap it right in the middle, it doesn’t register... maybe someone dropped coffee in it while I was away? Any way to disassemble it and attempt a fix?
Thanks for the review. I love the K400 and prefer the colouring, but they seem to be hard to find now, whereas the k400 plus keeps going on sale, so wanted to see the differences.
Kinda regret not buying more k400s before, figured they'd never go away as they were so loved universally.
Guess the plus isn't a bad keyboard though.
I'm still using the original batteries on my K400 Plus 2 years later and it's still going. Battery life is amazing. I thought i'd have to change em all the time.
Can I buy this keyboard and then a seperate mouse and connect both to the PS4 USB and use keyboard and mouse without disconnecting either or use them at the same time?

k400 plus is a really nice keyboard. I just picked one up for $30. My only complaint is also the design. Looks like it was meant for an IBM computer in the 90s
With my current wired Logitech keyboard I use the number keypad's - (minus) and + (plus) for volume control from a media program.
I see the plus has volume control and mute. Can these buttons be used or programed to used with a PC media application?
I could not find any information from the user manual specifying connectivity with a PC or TV.

hows the range on the plus vs the old one? The k400 has terrible range and if any object sits between the bluetooth usb and the kb, it'll stop working.
I have the k400r and I have my computer hooked up to 2 tvs. One is in the leaving room with the laptop and on is on the other side of the wall in my bedroom. So at night when I'm in bed I am about 15 feet away from the computer and there is a wall in between and works great. Every now and then I do get some lag but then it goes away.
Also its not a Bluetooth.

Can i use the receiver of "Logitech M235 usb mouse" or "Logitech k230 wireless keyboard" with my logi k400+?

M235 mouse and k230 keyboard are also coming with unifying receiver. But i was not sure there receiver will support my k400+ keyboard.
anyone else have problems scrolling on the mouse pad. I replaced my old logitech 400 with the 400+ and when scrolling it is all over the place and randomly zooms in, I returned it because of this and the new one is the same way .. is there something different or do I need some instructions?? very frustrating

And what do you do if you want to capture the screen to send a copy of it somewhere? Every keyboard I've ever used in 30 years as a print screen key, but Logitech has decided to throw away standards.
Ctrl +Fn+print, copies the desktop to the clipboard. Ctr+Insert, if insert is called by the Fn, the combination becomes Ctrl+Fn+Insert for COPY, Shift instead for Ctrl for PASTE.

agree the design is not as nice. not a fan of the yellow or the little directional keys which i use to page up and down. Typing on one now. Overall it is good. Apparently has a better battery life which is why i will likely keep it. otherwise, not a fan of the changes. Lastly, the texture of the touchpad is not smooth enough imo.

tbh got the k400+ cause I use it for VR, and having a keyboard that doesn't feature a "turn off my PC" button is a good thing imo, and color doesn't matter since I never look at it :)

I'm going to get the old one because the direction keys are full size. I code and I use them allot for navigating my docs. Only need one full size shift key anyway.
i wish these keyboards or ALL keyboards have 2 or 3 button PC off buttons instead of just one. How many times have you accidentally pressed it and lost your work?
And some of them even have the PC off button next to the calculator button. No fun re-doing your accounting calculations late at night when you miss press it.
The right tool for the right job. If you're doing serious work you should be using a serious setup and keyboard, not a HTPC keyboard.

Looks like that keyboard has an inch plus of plastic above the keys to support that little yellow button, and a wealth of space under the track pad where said little yellow button could live...
the yellow button is an alternative left click for the mouse for when you're holding it. so it wouldn't make sense to put it near the trackpad.
I would think finding the keyboard would be easier with yellow on it. I've had a wireless keyboard that always get's lost with multiple users. I guess you could always put a yellow sticker on any keyboard really.

Worst comparison review I’ve ever heard. We weren’t looking for his opinion we were looking for the differences and right off the bat it appears to me the one on top is smaller and he made no mention of that whatsoever
The plus model is a great device. Good range, fantastic battery life, and the feel is pretty much as good as a Chromebook or avg laptop, but is far lighter. Keyboard and touchpad operate smoothly. So nice, my ex grabbed it on her way out the door!! 🤣
My ex ended up with my k400, which is why I'm researching keyboards again 🤣 That thing has been going for 8 years, at one point a drink got spilled into it and I removed all the keys and washed them in the sink, wiped it out, put it back together good as new. Hopefully the plus is as good 🤞🤞

If you want to really review this product and report on it, you would have done a long-term battery test so that those who may buy it might have an idea of how long a new set of batteries will last while the keyboard sits on the coffee table. Oh wait, that would take thought and effort. Nevermind
or you could read the package or specifications online before ppurchasing and see one the selling point is the 18+ months of battery life it provides. Lazy people these days...its getting pathetic
The mousepad sucks. Because all you need do is touch it and you will select any link your cursor is on, I defy you to figure out how to use the pad without actually, initially touching it isolation when it's dumb and stupid it made me throw my keyboard in the trash as totally unusable. Shame on Logitech their reputation is well-earned but stupid things like no print screen and the touchpad that's damn near impossible to use without going crazy is gonna cost them big time.
If you want to use the mouse function telling me do it without touching the pad which initiates A mouse click. Epic stupid.
Probably the obvious and most frustrating thing for me is I've searched all morning and I can't find one link that tells me how to print screen, like every other keyboard on earth, to put it into my clipboard that I might call it into paint and save it as the file I decide. Everybody who has a RUclips account that reviews his keyboard fails to notice this horrendous feature loss.
power button was a good thing!! I had to map mute button for power on the new keyboard.
k400plus = garbage
K400 Plus has advantage that you can scroll sites with one finger + Fn key, K400, K400r do not support that.
+PeterMacPL ... K400r has the ability to scroll sites (leftwith two fingers on the touchpad, a much better option. Unless you're holding the keyboard up the in air, I don't see a need to use the FN key to scroll websites. And if you want to scroll websites with one finger, simply use the up/down/left/right arrow keys. I've decided to return my k400plus keyboard back to amazon because I like the k400r much better. Hate the much smaller up/down key on the k400plus.

Why do electronics manufacturers continue the terrible trend of adding color accents. I'm not going to try and color coordinate my entire home based on a $30 keyboard. Please stop adding colors to electronics they are meant to be black to go with any color scheme any where any time!
