Very nice review on this keyboard. We just got a larger LG TV and I'm hoping that this keyboard will work with that TV as well. Because our TV is 77" I have to sit further back from it (11+ feet) and as such I may have to use Bluetooth vs the dongle. Either way it will be much better than using the smart remote arrow/mouse that's more challenging to control than it should be.
I just wanted a second keyboard for when I want to use my pc through the tv and hang out on the couch and relax. I like the touchpad so I don’t have to worry about moving a mouse on the coffee table. I can just sit back with the keyboard in my lap

I have a new Insignia 55 inch amazon fire TV, I also purchased a logitech K830TV keyboard. I went through the blue tooth pairing steps - the (bluetooth mode) keyboard was recognized and I was given the notice “device connected” indicting that the key board K830 was now connected. However! when I used any key or the touch pad on the keyboard “nothing”
happened! I tried in several of the input locations on the TV and the keys tried did not show anything or movements within the TV screen. The Amazon Fire TV does not a USB for the dongle (the USB is for uploading Photos?) So what is it I'm not understanding on how this is supposed to work?

You need to use blue tooth mate I have a mouse on it and its never disconnected and frees up a USB port try it for free USB ports are gold on android devices !!

Just for other folks searching like I was, unfortunately this, and any other USB keyboard, will not work on TCL branded Roku tv sets. Bummer because it worked great on my LG TV.

So the USB dongle is a Bluetooth connection if you have a device that is not Bluetooth capable. Good video tho.
No the dongle is wiffi. Your device must have be bluetooth capable.
depends on which version you get they are the same model number but one has Bluetooth integrated with the dongle in one has only the dongle

welll that SUCKS because i have a 65" Smart tv connected To my Gaming pc with gtx 3080 by the way ....AND i did this setup to PLay VR Games on my oculus quest 2 ...i heard this is compatible with all 3 but i can use it in 1 at the time really sucks wish it had 1 2 3 switch ...like the MX master mouse

after update on LG C9 they will no longer allow my kc830 to connect with bluetooth. LG now force you to use LG keyboard and mouse. scum.

Overrated, expensive piece of flimsey junk ! Beware - you will read so many complaints online and even on Amazon of the infamous USB charging port flaw, which eventually breaks off from the circuit board after only a few plugs / unplugs. I know a dozen more people who have had the same issue, it is a well known flaw. Also keys tend to stick and stop functioning. Very bad product, is not built to last.
