Nothing new, same thing we ladies have been doing for decades. Wash score and X on the bottom, blanche, ice bath, peel skin. SMH you young people think this is new or you thought of it LOL!

I share simple tutorials like this for those who are new to canning. Just because a technique has been around forever, doesn't mean everyone knows how to do it. I try to encourage those who want to learn, to do so. Many are intimidated by the thought of food preservation, but if you show them how, it takes away that fear factor. Not everyone had a mom or grandma who taught them when they were growing up.

I just love that rooster 🐓 at the beginning of your videos 😅 He's so cute, the way he stomps his foot down before he crows 🥰

That was one of my jobs growing up. Skinning the fruit after the ice bath.

Growing up canning my mom just put the peaches in the boiling water never slit them. When the skin broke apart it was time to put them in ice and the skin would come right off.

@cindys.w.8566 and Cosmopolitan Cornbread - How nice for you, Cindy, that you had someone show you the ropes when you were getting started canning. Everyone needs that help.
How sad they didn't ALSO teach you any manners or humility.
I heard someone say many years ago: Lord, let my words be sweet today, in case I have to eat them tomorrow."
Thank you, Constance, for always explaining things the way you do. When I started canning MANY moons ago, I was blessed to have a neighbor that taught me much like you do, and it made for much less stress & worry about making anyone sick, but also helped me provide for my family at a time when money was very, very tight. She put me on a lifelong path of preserving food for us, and in turn, I could help others do the same. I appreciate your videos & the time & effort it takes to put them up for all of us. May God continue to bless you and yours, while you continue to bless total strangers. I'm convinced that when we help each other, God smiles. 🙏🙏🙏
