Salad -
1 - Daikon (Chinese White Radish), Shredded (See Notes)
2 - Carrots, Tips removed & Julienned
5 - Red Radishes, Thinly Sliced
100g (3.5oz) - Snow Peas, Julienned
1 - Long Red Chilli, Julienned
1/2 Bunch (15g) - Thai Basil, Leaves Picked
1/2 Bunch (15g) - Mint, Leaves Picked
1 Bunch (50g) - Coriander (Cilantro), Roughly Chopped
1 Tbsp (15g) - Black Sesame Seeds
800g (1.7lb) - Skinless Salmon Fillets
Seasoning To Taste
Ginger, Lime & Sesame Dressing -
30g (1.6oz) - Ginger, Peeled & Minced
2 - Limes, Juiced
1 tsp (5ml) - Sesame Oil
2 1/2 Tbsp (50ml) - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Seasoning To Taste
Garnish -
Thai Basil
Coriander
Black Sesame Seeds
Notes -
The daikon (Chinese white radish) can be substituted with red cabbage, white cabbage, or left out completely. If you leave it out, use two more carrots.

Added this to my salad rotation; it's great. Between a mandolin and a box grater I don't have to slice a thing either for when I CBA.
I normally make this salad with red and green cabbage in place of the daikon. Have some daikon in the fridge going to give this a try. Toasted peanuts on top is always nice too. Thanks for another great video!

I bought a mandoline it came with a pair of gloves to protect fingers, tried it once, put it back in the box, I won't be using it again. Salmon in the fridge, off to shop for the other ingredients. Thank you Chef for all the extra facts we get from you.Take care stay safe.

Inspirational as always and that would help me out wonderfully as I keep creating salads or try new salad recipes especially when we used to have parties (Before Covid of course) I always make more than one salad to go along with the whatever I cooked. Nice. I eat salmon frequently during the week, I make a quick lazy version of salmon by cooking fillets for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Usually, I throw the fillet on a mixed salmon. Can’t wait to try your recipe😊

Great Jack, Salmon with salad is a favourite in my household I like the dressing idea never thought of using ginger and lime thanks 👍 Duck is another fave, whether shredded or pan fried roasted breast. I think I’d just about tried every fruit or Chinese style I’m sure you’ll have some great ideas in your repertoire to share sometime…. Please 🙏🤣
I used to love duck until I bought a house that ran down to a river, where the ducks came to be fed, I haven't been able to eat duck since.

I sure do. I’ve got vegetable, beef and chicken. The one to watch would be the beef stock as I add all the scraps to that one 😊. Any knife had the capability of being razor sharp, they need to be sharpened regularly 😊
